@@NWIWhitetails well apparently it was just a sim card issue so the service sent us a new camera and it's working very well already have 3 giant bucks on camera, so I probably will end up editing this comment lol
I have 4 of these, the oldest one which is just over a year old quit sending pictures, won't connect and just blinks green endlessly. You would think they would just let you send it back and they can either fix it or send you a new one. No, they want to spend an hour or two on the computer with you trying fixes that don't work.
I have two, bought them fall of 2021, they worked for a few weeks pretty well and then both started having issues. I've done the firmware upgrades on both and they still won't do anything. Very frustrating when you can't communicate with the camera except when it decides to communicate with you. So if it never tries to send you anything you can't change or check any of the settings.
If you don’t have good service will it still take pictures and just save them to the card? I can’t even get the thing to work at all. I have a class 4 dd card maybe that is preventing it from working at all. 🤷♂️
Hey a lot of trouble for a trail camera! I hope you have better luck then I did. I have two micros I got them in may of 2021. They worked for about 9 months. And then the nightmare started. I noticed the pictures started looking foggy. They both started leaking water from the solar panel mounted on top of the link micro s lte. I realize the camera in your video is not the micro. I would definitely not purchase the spypoint micro s lte! I can’t believe spypoint knows about this problem with these cameras and have not fixed the problem. It is a poor design!
I have 3 of these, 2 micro and 1 micro S (solar). Had a little issue with the firmware, but was also able to fix it really easily and quickly. I like these, the app works well and I get piles of photos. Good video!
While I appreciate this review/problem solving, I think it is worth mentioning that these cameras have a two year warranty. If you as the user experience the same, slow green flash, Spypoint will not replace under warranty, rendering the camera useless. With the cell camera market emerging, it is worth considering other products with better longevity.
Can you take the card out of the battery and just plug it into your laptop and see the pictures or can you only access the pictures from the app with a plan?
You can put the card into a laptop or card reader. But, it takes a micro SD card so you may need an adapter to make it fit in your computer. The adapter looks like a regular size memory card that the micro card slides into. Very inexpensive.
Hey great video , question I’m currently a Moultrie user but there new camera has terrible reviews and cabalas has these for a decent price . I’m about 5 hrs away from my hunting property . How has signal been thus far as well as battery life on these things . Also does with work with AT&T I don’t see the option . Thanks new sub
Hey man, thanks for checking it out! The battery life depends a lot on the frequency that you set the camera to send pictures to your phone. The more times a day it’s transmitting photos the quicker it will drain the battery. I have mine transferring twice a day, but once a day may be better for you if you’re 5 hours away. Lithium batteries will greatly increase your battery life. They also sell the version with the solar battery charger. I have not tried the solar version. It’s more expensive but it may be worth it for you if you’re that far away… When I purchased my original camera I had the option to select att or Verizon, but when I got my new camera I didn’t get a choice and it has a “v” at the end of the name Link-Micro-Lte-V. I’m assuming that means Verizon. But like I said, I did not get a choice of service providers with the new camera. My service is pretty good, but the area I have it in is relatively close to a populated area. If you’re in the middle of nowhere you might want to go see how the cell service is with a Verizon phone.
Not a lot. If it gets really windy I notice that I get more blank pictures when the branches are moving more. I try to break off small branches that are really close to the camera to avoid blank pictures as much as possible. Are you getting a lot of blank photos?

You can change the settings to send pictures as frequent as you would like. You can have it send the picture every time one is taken, but that will run the battery down quicker. If you have the solar charger that won’t be an issue.
@@NWIWhitetails thanks. I got a twin pack & I have both cameras working. The set up was easier than I thought it would be. Did you have any trouble with the 12 volt battery and solar charger on these cameras, mine is hooked up but does not show battery life and is not sending pictures either
Same issue for me. Green light keeps blinking and never correctly connects to cell signal. Additionally, when I opened it brand new out of the box there was no lithium battery pack. The online chat support took forever but they did eventually send me a new battery pack. However, now the green light flashing issue is going on. Very disappointed with Skypoint. 2 major issues right out of the box.
I have tried to upgrade firmware on two Link Micro LTE per website instructions, and both cameras after the process, would not receive a signal, anymore. The log file stated "initializing modem...failed". Two other cameras with latest firmware work fine and receive a signal. I guess the firmware upgrade tends to "brick" these cameras. Chat support is having me return them for new ones. Not sure why they recommend upgrading the firmware, when the supposed improvements, only wreck the cameras of this model.
Definitely, that’s was the problem with my first one. Luckily customer service was pretty helpful in my case and sent me a new camera. Glad to hear it sounds like they are fixing your issue too!

I noticed there are 2 sim cards stacked on each other behind the battery tray in the MICRO. One has spypoint logo and the other is AT&T. Is there a way to cut spypoint out as a middleman and just insert a sim card from a cell phone and just call into it with the number associated to the sim card we use?
Question how did you call SPYPOINT? I can only find how to online chat with them? Is there a phone number? I’m having the exact same problem with the exact same camera.
You helped me 6 months ago and I have 2 questions # 1 does it seem like getting customer service on the phone now is like hitting the Powerball or Mega millions jackpot? & #2. At what percentage of battery life are you noticing that the pictures are taken & they go to your app, then your email address BUT NOT your cell phone? I'm using 4 cameras & it seems like 60% & less this problem occurs. & the available & used space on the sd card has never worked. I really don't think that the battery strength is accurate either. Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving!
I haven’t tried calling customer service in quite a while so I’m not really sure on that one. 40%-60% is when I would start having trouble. Typically in colder weather. My theory is the battery life percentage gets less accurate in extreme temps.

I have a link micro lte. It started just sending black pictures at night labeling the time and everything. Day pictures are just fine. Any suggestions?
Depends on the time of year and the frequency of sending pictures. If you’re sending pictures two or three times a day during the fall it should last a couple months. Colder weather really drains the batteries for me.
Having major issues since July. The Battery compartment apparently leaks. Massive corrosion issue on battery contacts. Not impressed at all with this device. Calling this morning. Not going to deal with any computer updates or firmware updates. The camera is defective. Either a new cam or cancel my service.. I'll give them a chance. Just one.
What does the delay mean, if you were to shut it at five minutes would it take a picture as soon as it sees the deer. Or would it take five minutes to take a pic after it sees it
Will it take the picture as soon as it sees the deer then wait five minutes until the next picture or would it take the picture five minutes after it sees the deer
A 5 minute delay means that once it takes a picture, it will wait 5 minutes until taking another one. For example if you have it set on no delay and you have a deer eating in front of your camera for an hour, everytime that deers moves it’ll take a picture. You might get 100 pictures of the same deer. If it’s a high traffic area I like to set it at a slight delay like 15 or 30 seconds.
I have 3 cameras and a link. I have the Flex which works well but issues with fast drain of batteries and issues with the cell plan, after the 100 free photos I wait the 30 days and then should reset to another 30 days. Both my flex and my buddies flex does the same thing, if we don’t subscribe to a paid plan after the 30 days it won’t transmit. My Link Micro LTE is fine, but my link micro 4G has bricked after firmware update and now there is no connection between the camera and app which makes it now just a regular trail camera ( or parts)with no way to change settings. Spent hours trying everything then called SPYPOINT via their chat and by phone. No solution to get it working, I was offered a new flex at a cost of $159. I passed on that less then generous offer. I should also mention, my support woman fell a sleep on me while waiting to try the various scripted attempts. After 6 long snores I work her up by saying hello, anyone there. She forgot who she was talking to. Made me laugh at least.
In my opinion it’s a great camera. Why pay more for something that will break at 3 years anyway. They all crap the bed around 3 years keep it simple and cheap.
Same problem with mine. I had to send two cameras back to SPYPOINT and now every month when the batteries run dead I change them with new ones and the camera do not want to work. Spypoint takes days to reply to me. And when they do they say firmware update. I’m so fed up with these cameras. Anyone know other cameras that are better then spypoint????
I'm trying to set a schedule and every time I try to save it tells me "we had a problem saving your data, please try again later" I've been trying again for a week. I'm still getting pictures and good signal good batteries. Anybody have any ideas. I've been trying to live chat for 2 days and no response
So annoying, mine works, until I move it a few hundred yards to another spot on my property - then it won't send pics and signal says 90% - Such a pain! bring it home and it sends pics instantly, take it back and nothing.
Do yourself a favor get a Muddy. Spypoint is way to specific and tech savvy I can move on saying it was a waste of my time and money Muddy Manifest 2.0 is great. Just uses and standard sd card you can update straight from the camera 1 time and set it up and go on. Never had a problem with Muddy. The trouble this guy went through just to get his camera to work sounds like half the deer season went by. No reason to go out of the way worrying about a camera like this. I’ve had kine for a week and already having major problems with the camera sending pictures to my phone. Did everything it told me to. SD formatting update everything. Don’t waste you’re time get a Muddy or Reconyx
All of the problems were with the first camera, towards the end of 2020 season. After Spypoint sent the replacement I have not had any problems with it. I’ve been using the new one since late summer of 2021.
99.9 % of the problems with Spypoint cameras are user error...You have to look at how many spypoint cameras are sold ,in the millions in the US and Canada alone, its a very small percentage of people who have camera issues...You can spend 80,000 on a Ford truck and have 5 recalls on your truck in a year...
I just posted a video of some wolves milling about my Spypoint Link Micro LTE. check it out and see if you have any suggestions for me. It 38 seconds long next year Im going to buy a camera capable of video for Jurassic Butte.
Garbage for me. They said buy a new battery after 4 weeks, 2 weeks of it working, 2 weeks of it not working. Weather seal failed on it, water all over the place. Garbage.
My flex s is complete junk. Doesn’t transmit 1/2 the time, batteries are dead the other half. Had it for 3 weeks and replaced batteries 5 times. No customer service to speak of. Buyer Beware!!!
So far, my experience is not good. Battery life is horribly short. I have two of these neither one is sending any pictures after buying the plan. I’m about to take a baseball bat to both of them.
Do you have good signal? As far as battery life, how often you you have it sending pictures? If it’s a high traffic area I have it send pictures twice a day and use lithium batteries.

Have you tried rechargeable lithium batteries? The review was great and thank you for the video. GOD bless.
I have not retried rechargeable batteries. But that might be a good option!
Thanks for the tips
Having issues buying a plan tried calling spypoint but they have not responded
You weren’t able to buy the plan through the app? What issue are you having?
How far can you be away and still receive pictures ?
You can be anywhere. It sends through a cell service. Anywhere that you have service on your phone you’ll receive pictures.
What does the delay mean, if you were to shut it at five minutes would it take a picture as soon as it sees the deer. Or would it take five minutes to take a pic after it sees it
If u were to put it
Will it take the picture as soon as it sees the deer then wait five minutes until the next picture or would it take the picture five minutes after it sees the deer
I have one and hosetly it suck it has great signal but it dose not like to take pictures and send them to nore dose it like to just take pic
Mine sends me pictures of nothing all of the time. I have tried the medium and the low sensitivity but it makes no difference.
Very nice 🙌
Thanks for checking it out!
after i wait the 30 seconds the status light goes straight to solid red
Are you setting it up for the first time?
So annoying, mine works, until I move it a few hundred yards to another spot on my property - then it won't send pics and signal says 90% - Such a pain!
bring it home and it sends pics instantly, take it back and nothing.
That’s really annoying. I have noticed that sometimes the signal will show a high percentage, but it really doesn’t have good signal.
My solar battery is fully charged and the camera won’t turn on !
I am having the exact problem ....slow green flashing light - nothing more.
Mine works just doesn’t take night photos anyone else experienced this?
I just posted a video of some wolves milling about my Spypoint Link Micro LTE. check it out and see if you have any suggestions for me. It 38 seconds long next year Im going to buy a camera capable of video for Jurassic Butte.
App is crap , updated firmware now camera is bricked won’t even power on with a 8 new Duracells
I cant even get mine uploaded. 2 brand new ones. Tech couldn't even fix them both. Junk!!!!
What do you mean by uploaded? Did they activate?
Most of the time it’s user error with power or sd cards...I’ve found that each camera is different on which cards they will accept
I'm on my second camera after 3 days I'm back to having a camera that doesn't work these are the most unreliable cameras
Lots of issues with the Micro link solar charging camera. Leaks. Water in lense. hardware and software issues. BS live chat - robotic and hard to believe human at opposite end.
I got 4, the pictures arent worth a shit!!
Junk dont buy. Constant problems.
worst camera on the market , their is no customer service at all !!!!!!!!
They suck don’t buy period!
Worst cameras on the market.
Highly debatable. Issues? yes. Worst camera on the market? Probably not.
These cameras are absolute garbage!!! Don’t waste your money!!!
I’ve had 2, only had problems with one of them and Spypoint replaced it. Overall happy with them.
I want to watch construction of my mountain house. The camera takes great pics of wild life but want to get human activity. Currently not able to see any pics of construction workers. Any ideas?
Do the plans work like 1000 pictures per uint or 1000 picture throughout multiple units?
Per unit. As far as I know you need a separate plan for each camera, but I’ve only ran one spy point at a time.
