I like that Coop, PvP, and Solo all work out well.

This video was incredibly helpful and more in depth than all the others out there. Much appreciation for taking the time to make this video for us.

Intriguing game for sure! When you say it takes less time than initially anticipated, do you mean around 1 hour? Ideally, the game could run in around that time (and more of course if desired) for me to be really interested

I finished the TTS. The balance isn't fully there, some races are better than others and some choices are just *always* better. Also as you mention, it's not in depth, replayability is an issue. I personally was very hyped for this game, but the more I played it the less I liked it and I really wanted to like it.
Do not underestimate the play time for first timers btw, it will take long.
I would highly recommend playing the tutorial and 2 scenario's in the TTS if you consider buying.
Maybe I am just asking too much, I enjoy in depth campaigns and games on the complicated level. If you're want a "mid-level" (on the easier side) game for a more casual audiance who don't want to dive into KDM, ATO, or some other complex games, this might be for you.

Perfect. Then this will be for me. :)

Wow! I keep going back and forth on this one, but the more I think about it - especially with your comment about the flaws here, this is a pass for me. It is an interesting concept, but there are just do many games out there…
BTW, I am not into KDM, but if there game feels broken or seems to have balance issues, in addition to my other feels after watching the video (to me, it looked like it is all over the place gameplay-wise and hard to understand - which Chris started putting me at ease about that, especially knowing what type of gamer he is). But the game just isn’t calling to me - Maybe because it just doesn’t feel like I would be getting a complete type of experience that I was expecting from this game - for example, when Chris said that it is a light worker placement mechanic here. I was expecting more.
Well, these are just my thoughts about it.

@@JJ_TheGreat Sounds like we both started with the same feeling. The worker placement: there are 4 "ages". The AI always goes first (if you play with one), then the player with the lowest overall score goes first. You roll a die for the AI, it might take a spot with only 1 worker, then you start slotting them into a position you want. There are ~5/6 options per "age" and some have 1 slot, other have two. You always want to build your hero ASAP and work towards buildings, there is an option to go scout a monster, but that's useless since you will dominate the fight anyways when you pick the right hero. You can also choose an item over scouting, helping you in the fight in case you need it. There is a weakness triangle so scouting is supposed to help you plan the battle. But in practise you never pick it because you have better options.
After your hero you want to rush to upgrade your age 3 unit to age 4, so you can double use the action in age 4. The age 3 actions are pretty bad and the one that you want can be bought with other materials. You can use an age 3 unit in age 1 or 2 if you want. The system is super simple. Once you have got it down, it will take about 10 seconds for you to slot all your units in the ages. Cause when it's your turn you run through ages 1-4 and then it's the next players turn.
I personally wouldn't even call it a worker placement. It's just picking resources, it's in my opinion, on the same level as rolling a die in Catan to see which resources you get. You have a plan and slot things in there, if you don't have the spot then you will sell something else and buy it with the market system. It's extremely simple.

@@JJ_TheGreat honestly, don't listen to what others think, just play it. Only YOU can decide whether you like something.

@@Towerofheaven I also didn't feel like this was extremely simple, felt quite dynamic with a decent amount of depth.

how long was the setup time? Then how long was the tear down time?

I've been waiting for this review since you mentioned it. Must have been a beast to summarise.
I was leaning toward no, and backing The Isofarian Guard instead (as both themes and types of games appeal to me but the adventure just won out for me), but now I'm back to being torn between the two.
Damn you and your fine review!

Above average review for sure as far as giving information potential backers want. I’m still on the fence! The fact this isn’t going to retail is really trying to push me over the edge toward backing.
The campaign will likely break $400k in my view, which is pretty impressive. For a game that is already impressing in terms of popularity , any guesses on what an all in copy would go for on the secondary market? My money would be on ~$600, but honestly it could be higher and I wouldn’t be surprised

It may not officially go to retail but clearly stores can pledge and get games to resell.
