I have ALOT of the Frontline Chaos line that they do (even though this one isn't branded as an FC figure, it's identical in production using the same body etc) I can tell you unequivocally that they are NOT worth their asking prices. They're unique in their designs and concepts but the bodies feel a little cheap in places, they come with very few accessories and hands and always come with one single headsculpt that always, always lack expression or the character their conceptually drawn counterparts have. They're vastly overpriced especially compared to the best 1/12 company out there NOTTAA who produce far better for the same price point. Take a look at their 'Enveloped Yaomo' line for example. The amount of accessories you got with Wukong, Yan and Nura were great for the price and the deluxe editions gave you in insane amount of extra accessories and a second 'demon/powered up' version headsculpt for a small amount more, and they were in the $60-80 range. There's a reason they're considered some of the best 1/12s on the market.
@@synthrogue6856I agree Nottaa toys are superior in quality. I recently purchased Yan Xiaoxia and might get the samurai Nura and monkey Wukong as well from big bad toy store. For this figure, I would simply swap the head, accessories, clothes and put it on another body such as Tbleague 1/12 scale instead (if it fits). Still, IMHO this toy line is very impressive for mini dolls but like you mentioned the body seems rather cheap for the high price and if I'm not mistaken, kinda looks transparent? Like the awesome reviewer mentioned, they are made mostly for display. Hopefully her pants are not made in pleather or faux leather (I am certain it is) cause overtime it can get ruined easily . I'm still contemplating to buy her cause she does indeed have that Lara Croft vibe lol.
How on earth is this worth $80?? Plenty of other companies offering much better sculpts and paintwork and that price point with even softgoods. So if anything, this is a poor choice at that price range, not to mention that pleather which will soon flake.
The paint job for the face isn't as good as i expected (from the promo photos). She's lacking paint details around the eyes, but not a big issue if you can custom paint

Since recently getting her in hand I can happily confirm 100% all the detail, tone, blush and eyeshadow ARE in fact present. I just think most average cameras can't pick up the detail well enough. I'm a figure photographer and I've found that the Joytoy girl's faces are an absolute nightmare to properly light due to possibly this strange type of semi-translucent plastic they use, scattering any artificial light like studio or overheads. Even with my Sony A7III and a G lens I'm still never happy with how their faces photograph compared to other figures haha. She definitely comes very close to the promo pics in hand though.
Thanks for the review. My main concern with this one is the longevity of some of the soft goods (specially the pants). I’m still not sure if I’ll grab it. Btw, do you know if they gave up on the frontline chaos line? It’s been a while since they announced anything new.
