    Did not understand 95% of the words you said, but still more helpful than a lot of other tutorial videos I've seen that were in

    Sir, you are a GOD. How much time I've wasted trying to export models from 3DS Max and unfold them in Rhino, with not the best results and now this incredible unfolding work-flow directly in 3DS Max!!

      Thank you and good news: I don´t use this workflow anymore.... There is a new plugin in para3D, where you can do it much better and also add thickness and different joints. I will make a video in the next weeks. See f.e.: de.fh-mainz.de/modelling/disassemble-3d-pattern/

    Hello. Following your example, I unwrapped the object using unwrap UVW. and when I go to channel info, where it says "map", I copy and paste on the top line, where it says 'poly', my object then becomes invisible. And no matter how I try on other objects, after unwrap UVW do the action in channel info, the object becomes invisible. I really need your help, I really need this to work, like in your example in the video, please help.

    What is this unfolded geometry good for?

      to understand the internal structure of your model i guess
      its useful if you make architectural model miniature
