A lovely modern suite. I agree with all your pros and cons. I wonder if the designers ever use a panel of frequent cruisers for feedback and suggestions when they design or refurbish a ship.
Thanks for doing this. We did the junior suite on freedom and you’re correct the rooms are a bit dated, still had a good time though. Definitely booking this one!
@ 9:35 You cannot switch HDMI using the remote control unless you unplug the ship's (RJ45 plug) network cable from the back of TV. This applies to the Wonder of the Seas. I was on the jr suite on this ship and needed to plug my laptop's into the back of the TV to use it as display monitor. The TV on the Odyssey of the Seas actually let me change the HDMI inputs using the remote control however.
Good to know and thank you for sharing! On Mariner now and can change to HDMI 1 with the remote. Must be a new type of technology! And you didn't have a problem getting to the HDMI ports on the wonder? They looked pretty hidden behind the arm mechanism.
Hi Brandon! I am on the Wonder of the seas on July 24th and I just happen to be in the exact same stateroom (9636) 😄 You can imagine I was very happy with your video! Just one question though, is the Lavazza only for coffee? Is there a tea making facility as well? Oh and do I have access to the suite deck as well? Would love to hear from you! Hi Maaike! I just got back from Amsterdam a few weeks ago! Beautiful country! The ship, to my knowledge does not stick lavatzza tea. However, you can use the machine with hot water and tea bags in the room.
Yes, jus went back and watched the video again. You can look at the couch and tell the bottom section pulls out. Sounds like the system has it restricted for some reason. Haven't researched this but would think all junior suites would hold 3+ people given their extra size. Plenty of room for a roll-a-way bed if nothing else in this room. Hope it works out for you!
In Junior Suite, you do have access to Coastal Kitchen but you have to make reservations day of each day and Junior Suite does not give access to the Suite Lounge.
Who designed half of the items in this room?! You are not alone with the foot issues, the idea that there is not a full shower enclosure and the hooks down under the tv and hump to go into the closet is just bad planning, its like theyve never stayed in a hotel room lol. They lost a lot of dumb counter space by putting all those lamps on the tables instead of on the walls.. such a shame for a new ship that simple details were entirely overlooked or just ignored. But hey, first world problems I guess.
