Dai-chan was trying to protect mao's picture. before he kicked that ball, he said "i can't aim that (mao's picture) " and he succeeded !! mao's picture fell, but that ball did not touch it. so others were really surprised about that. and then,Ryoma screamed " mao-kun, he protected you!!!! It's nice that Dai chan seems to care about Mao's drawing even Takumi-kun series had ended,yet they still care for each other unlike the others that after the movie ended,they also not get along well.I'm glad that Daimao was not one of them.

That's why Ryouma exclaimed: "He protected you Mao!!!" and then said to Dai-chan: "You did it! Because of your love for Mao!" Also dai-chan apologized to Mao and the audience because he felt a little guilty nonetheless.
