- Witness the aftermath of hurricane Beryl in Grenada, Caribbean less than 24 hours after she struck.
The morning after hurricane Beryl hit Grenada, I traveled from my home in the island’s capital, St George to one of the hardest hit areas in the most northerly parish.
The recovery effort was remarkable with streets cleared and fallen trees cut to enable services to travel the island. The garbage collection service even made it to our door!
However, with power and phone lines down I traveled by car to my home parish of St Patrick in the north of Grenada, to search for three elderly relatives who I was unable to reach.
Hope this video reassures you as to the state of Grenada, even in the north. The island fared much better than Carriacou and Petit Martinique and

Despite not hearing from my Aunt since the morning of the hurricane. Thanks to your post I can see her house in Marli appears to be untouched and therefore I have hope she's OK and I'll be able to hear from her soon 🤗
@@nataliewilliams8980 you're welcome. The uncertainty was killing me too so figured folks overseas were in a similar position. So glad to hear your aunt's house is ok. Fingers crossed infrastructure is back up soon 🤞🏾

Blessing from Barbados 🇧🇧, hoping all will be back together as soon as possible. God will take care of his people. We in Barbados had a lot of sea erosion, debris and sea sand all in the streets. Fishermen lost they livelihood, boats are all done, houses were also destroyed but we still thank God because it could be worse.

Thank you so so much. I left Grenada for London at the end of March '24. Your video enabled me to see that my home and the homes of my family in Samaritain were spared the worst and build resilience for the future. Thank you for this video. It was good to see your family clearing roads and chatting with family. Nice to see you and yours are well 🇬🇩 🇬🇧
You are very welcome, I'm glad the video helped.
From Trinidad - Thanking Almighty God that Grenada's Mainland was actually spared the devastation of the Eye of Beryl....So that together with our TnT and other Caribbean Gov't. Support we can make Contributions to helping those in the Grenadines Islands of both Grenada & St. Vincent that were devastated by the Eye of Beryl.
@@stephenthomas2280 we were definitely spared for the most part. Carriacou, PM and the Grenadines definitely need our help 😔🙏🏾

Glad you are mostly ok this time... but I think everyone is gong to have to make plans and take action to prepare for the next three months. The seas have got too hot for this to be the only one this season .
Prepare quickly.... the islands that have been hit hardest will need to be made safe in case the weather turns again. 🌎🤞🏻🏝️🌅

I lived in Grenada and Carriacou a few years. Good friends are suffering. I survived Irma in St Kitts a few years ago. And stayed on my boat, when Fiona passed in 2020. I know how it feels when nature knocks on your door.
Your videography is a tremendous help to many. Thank you for doing this! I gather your family is safe and you can rest at night now. May others be so fortunate.
Thanks for the kind feedback Diane 🙂. Yes my heart goes out to all those across the region who had less fortunate outcomes.
