I think what most Zane fans didnt get is, people didnt mock Zane because he cant play Assassin. It was because he has small hero pool. That is bad because its easier for BTK opponent to ban other heroes during draft phase. For ex, when BTK picked Fred, their opponent know, that is a hyper Fred. So, they can just ban other heroes. But when other team pick Fred, like for ex TOB pick Fred, it can be used in EXP, Jungle or even in Mid. So, it would be harder to figure out TOB draft and harder to ban TOB heroes. Just look at other MPL hyper. Yes, they also use Tank Hyper, BUT...they can also played other types of heroes as hyper.
Yes the possibility of flex pick doesn't exist for bTk. If u see a novaria, it can be roam or mage. But for bTk it is definitely mage. While their heropool isn't small (esp for chicken) the amount of heroes Zane is comfortable in using for professional tournament is limited. And Zane they are very accustom to Zane pro scene Fred playstyle that it is no longer a threat to ToB. Hope they realise this and put up more of a challenge when it comes to the Grand Finals.
Yup, BTK as a whole have a pretty small hero pool, at least from what I've seen in tourneys. I can't stand Zane or his fans, but objectively, it's not about his inability to play assassins, but because of what it entails for his team's draft. Bestplayer can play every assassin, on top of fighters such as Martis, tanks like Fredrinn, and even mages like Lunox or marksmen like Karrie in the jungle. This makes it way more unpredictable to draft against ToB. Meanwhile for BTK, all the picks are predictable and set in stone:
Zane: Fredrinn, Baxia, Akai, Karina, but as we saw, he's super reliant on Fredrinn.
ISO: Beatrix, Irithel, Brody, Lesley, which is alright but he gravitates towards Irithel or Lesley a lot.
Yato: Faramis, Pharsa, Valentina, but he plays Faramis in 80% of his games and when he plays burst mages, he's pretty bad.
Tea: Yu Zhong, Terizla, Uranus, and maybe Paquito, but he's usually stuck on tank duty.
FwydChickn: Unfair to him as he plays EXP, so I don't expect him to suddenly be able to play roamers.

He was winning againts Oheb which killed Blacklist momentum.

At first, they ban 5 Zane's hero. Then, they ban 4 Zane's hero & 1 shark's hero. Then, finally on match Vs Onic. Onic only ban 1 Zane's heroes, 1 Zia's & chickn's hero, & 2 shark's heroes. I think most team didnt know BTK, thats why they only ban Zane's hero. But as the tournament progress, they realized they should ban other players heroes. Thats why, i think its was kinda funny when Zane & his fans talked as if he was the one who solely carried BTK in M3.

Looks to me too now. He doesn't want bronze. I think they need to surprise TOB to win. TOB knows it will be fred jungle so they are kind of prepare for it always. I think what could guarantee TOB victory in the grandfinals of nact is to just ban fredrin in all game, it's clear that TOB is already the better team but they seem to be pressured once they on the stage and thus play worse, but if they ban zane's comfort pick in the grandfinals then he'll become the weak link in those game which will guarantee TOB's victory.
