I made a big comment about the ring not being banned, and the amount of copium huffers that agree with wizards logic was just absurd. The One Ring needs to hit 55%+ inclusion levels like Mox Opal for wizards to pull the trigger. Or, the logic I came to is that they're reprinting it and they can't sell a product with the one ring reprint if it's banned, that would just fail as a product. Oh well I guess, what's new. 🤷♂️
I think the logic of reprints coming to sell a product makes a lot of sense especially after the announcement was made that they can reprint The One Ring and Orcish Bowmasters. I might start building a couple pure modern decks to test out on the channel (a modern with no direct to modern sets, no Mh1, mh2, mh3, and no universe beyond sets like Lord of the Rings)
@NanMansNerdCorner As much as I love the idea of pure modern, it has a long way to go to be even remotely real as a format. I like most of what the horizons sets bring to modern, it's just unfortunate that wizards is so slow and ignorant at managing b&r announcements 🤷♂️
@@foxsygamer1118 I wonder if there was a council of pro/content creators that knew the format and could push for changes to happen faster so we aren't waiting so long in limbo. There is something to be said about letting stuff settle after a set but that's when there isn't a hogaak or nadu to deal with
Exactly! Every deck has become or will become a One Ring deck. I keep testing cabal coffer decks on MTGO since i get access to both the one ring and Karn to shut down my opponents one ring
I agree but so would hogakk be healthy in this modern meta but again wizards are idiots no it's just going to be a jeskai control and boros energy dominating modern pioneer amaila was fine but yeah sorin needed the axe
Yeah it's going to be a lot of jeskai and boros energy. Im debating building the mono black cabal coffers list so i get the one ring and karn the great creator. I'll have to do some testing for awhile and hope things smooth out come December when they will likely decide to get rid of the one ring and some energy cards
