Actually it performs quite well and is extremely reliable.
@Lenar2541 The 400 is a better workhorse due mainly to the solid rear axle. That solid rear axle will make a HUGE difference when towing a trailer in rough terrain.
my 2002 has low range
@Adalbert494 Tough choice but probably the 450.
I have a 02 kodiak 400. Its a really good atv.. I beat the shit outta it and its still running strong.
@cbk982 I don't know for sure but I don't think so.
Hi, just wondering, is the 2003 the same as the 2001?
Do 2005 kodiak 400 come with 2x4? or are they all 4x4
i have the same one
I'm pretty sure they were all 4x4s.....Like your avatar ;-)
Hi there, I just got this model and have a question when shifting into 4x4 but I can't read anywhere if i need to shift into neutral and be stationary when switching to 4wd so is it possible to shift on the fly because I don't wanna mess something up doing so if it isn't designed to. Thanks
It is always better on the machine to come to a stop before shifting into or out of 4wd but it is not always necessary.
ATVTVCOM Thanks, thats amazing that you actually reply to questions unlike other channels
