An IEO is an ICO managed by an exchange. The advantages of an IEO is that it is regulated and listed on the exchange from the get go. Investors can also feel safer knowing the exchange vetted the project listed.

my company project was first based on ico using Cardano 2.0 but then half of the project later we had 2 months lockdown with no WFH then now coming back to the office some of us get to know that our project has been shifted back the ETH20 and we're doing IEO so I had to watch this!

Thanks for the vid. Q= IEO is open to public or only investors? I found one token doing IEO and shows the token price $200. And on ICO selling token at $2. 80% discount. They said will buy back all token in exchage before ICO completed to maintain the liquidity. I am a bit confuse here. Can help to explain?

However, the final decision on the offering price is typically made by the project team. In contrast, in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) or a Security Token Offering (STO), the price is typically set by the project team, with no intermediary involved.

You said ICO can be security tokens or represent shares of a company. If that were the case, they would be deemed securities by the SEC, which most are not. Irrelevant from the XRP case atm. I understand why you say they are shares of a company or add utility. But they are not securities
