Looping on stage 40 to get all diamonds in order with only 1 life seems easy...but it's not !!!
It's much more easier to get the pattern with 2 lives.
Rainbow Islands is probably my favorite arcade game of all time.

The "GOAL IN!" jingle has been stuck in my head since 1993.
If you collect the final special items in Island 10, instead of going to the door, the ending message says the final boss "was ruined" (instead of "was not ruined").
Also, LOL at the Street Fighter 1 reference.
The level music from the first levels is my ringtone ;-) I never heard the end credits music before, but thats catchy too!
The way you rapidly shoot rainbows while uncovering items is kinda funny

At 27:28, am I correct in assuming that the 5th World's 'secret room' holds what looks to be two world skips, one to World 7 (Dragon) and World 8 (Magical)? Was curious as well to hear how the glitch at 59:42 works exactly? Also 31:33, 39:55 and 45:01 to remind us that ben shinobi is, in fact, human like all of us! ;)

Man, how long did you spend practicing that final ordered diamond pattern on the last stretch before the final boss? Repeating that so many times over and over with no room for screwing up must have been ridiculously nerve wrecking.
@@ben.shinobi Oh it does NOT look easy! I'm impressed at how casually you seem to just pull it off. Do you have a fallback in case of certain mistakes? Enemies don't respawn when you do, so I'd assume there's no real option outside of fighting the boss.
I've been playing this game on/off for years, and I've always been complacent at just going for the 1CC, but maybe it's time for me to step up my game.

I actually didn’t notice before but after the game goes back to the title at the end, a red heart appears on the screen. Is there any meaning to it?

This run here is older than the time it was uploaded, years before in fact. I have never heard Ben mention anything about an Extra run, but maybe one day he can do one.
So that message at the end about there being another area is bullshit? And why's the last cage always empty?
Last cage is for bubby when u fail on last boss (evil bublunn) he gets u in a bubble and u turn to bubble dragon and get caufht there
ben shinobi, I tested the secret codes, and it happens that the "Continue after fifth island" is the only one that does NOTHING. I searched on Google but didn't find anything about its real effect. The pink book even appear at the beginning of the game, but nothing changes after using continues, no matter the stages. I also played without the code but still was able to use continues after the fifth island. I was intrigued about this. Do you know anything about what the real effect of the "Continue after fifth island" secret code? Thanks in advance. :)
You can continue after the 5th island, it is after the 7th island that you can't continue without the Big Book of Continues (as it is called).

On the secret door of World 5-4 at 27:32, What would happen if you use the door with an 8 on it and then collect all 3 mirrors?
You miss out on the Big Book of continues, and a couple other bonus items. Then you must complete the game in a credit as without that Book, you can't continue after Island 7.
Ben, after ending i see red heart on the title screen on the left. If you play again and complete the game, after title screen do you have 2 heart? One red and one orange? If you complete 7 times you have found 7 heart like 7 diamonds and extra super hidden secret?
