I like these foggers, however as a veterinary professional I have to say that for a flea infestation you MUST treat the animal first, otherwise new fleas will appear. That means you administer a monthly flea preventative to your animal, year around regardless of your local climate. Flea dips and flea shampoos only kill the fleas that are on the animal at that time. They do not offer any long term protection from fleas, and in fact as soon as the animal is dry, new fleas can begin feeding. As long as fleas have a food source, they will continue to breed. When you administer a monthly preventative, you are eliminating their food source and they will go away. Fleas will not stick around to feed on humans, they require animal blood (cat / dog) to reproduce. Good luck.

Do you have to turn off the fridge when using this product? My hot water heater busted and the basement floor became flooded now I have gnats I’m looking to get rid of
I believe it's called Hot Shot No Mess Fogger for a reason and it's because you aren't required to turn off electronic devices or pilots. www.hotshot.com/products/general-insect-control/no-mess-fogger.aspx
I used the version of this that you DID have to turn off your pilot light. I used it in the garage for black widow spiders. I started the fogger at about 3pm and let it go overnight. At about 10am I found 3 dead spiders. Might find more if I move stuff around. (It's a mess in there lol)
Hi Jay. I have a few questions. I'm preparing the back side of my house to treat the flea problem I have. I noticed you used the Hot Shot no mess fogger. Do I need to turn off my A/C while treating the rooms? Also, I'm treating 1 large closet that's the size of a small bedroom and also 3 more bedrooms. My bathrooms also show signs of fleas. Will the fogger reach the bathrooms as well? Im afraid to put a fogger in the bathrooms because they are small. Also would you keep the rooms closed up where the foggers are or would you keep them open so it can reach the hallway and bathrooms? Sorry for all the questions, but I keep getting different information when researching the products. Thank you, Zaynah
You probably should turn off the AC because you will be opening the windows after the recommended time when you return home. You should keep all room doors open for the fumes to spread. It's very important that you treat the pets with flea medication ASAP because they are the hosts for the fleas to feed off of. Don't forget to wash your clothes afterwards or keep them all bagged.
I do have a question if I may ask. Before I ask the question this is what I'm doing. I'm putting my house up for sale and won't be living here while it's for sale. My house will be empty except for the washer, dryer, stove, and fridge. I do plan on using a bug bomb to fumigate and eliminate any spiders or other small bugs during the time my house is for sale. The question is, after fumigation will the entire house have to be cleaned and will there be any noticeable aftermath of a bug bomb was used such as a smell or residue?
I'm not an expert but I'll give you my honest opinion. The box does state it's a no mess fogger but keep in mind there will be dead bugs lying around so I highly doubt anybody taking a look at the house will want to see that. I think I simple vacuum will do and there is no lingering smell that I noticed. Good luck!
So it doesn't leave a residue in the bedroom?? Like wiping it down or turn things a yellow color or whatever. Does that happen??? Always have been afraid using a fogger. Scared actually. I know an idiotic question.......... Great video btw. Very informative
Great job. I tried so far, , Salt and baking soda, toimaticious Earth and some poisoned powder for my warehouse where I have four cats. My cats never goes out but recently they had alot of fleas, though I used drops for the cats but no chance..Probably got infested from the neigbour where she has a dog training office.. Probably there are thousands of fleas still inside my warehouse.. Yesterday I purchased 8 Hot Shot 6 for 3000sf warehouse. I will probably used them Tomorrow. Fleas are the most annoying creature in the world. Which is also good glue trap with electric lamp that I purchased from Home Depot which cought over 300 fleas in a night.. I just hpe that I resolve it.. So, Toimaticious Erth, salt, soda, etc. dont work. Also, water with dish soap will work but not extetminate all. Good luck.
Best of luck to you. Fleas need a food source so they will probably move around to find. Yes, fleas should go extinct as they serve no useful purpose like spiders etc

It really help me feel less great seeing a Broomall home with stuff in it. Everyone else I saw had a practically empty house. I have a teen boy and toddler boy. We all have stuff and I can't just take it all out. LoL Thank you for sharing.
That is a delicate situation because the toddler's health may be at risk with the chemicals. I think the best way is to bag the clothes and put it in the garage or car so you don't have to wash everything because that can take all day. I have a whole playlist on more natural remedies: th-cam.com/play/PL8zebRtnCcumsWPXeeYaTuyoHJifAZQrh.html
I know this might sound silly, but what did you wipe down? Should I wash my clothes that were in drawers/closet even though the closet door was closed and so were my drawers? I left my husbands caps out, and toilet paper. lol We have a baby and I'm just nervous what to wipe down! Also, we used it but couldn't open the windows. Do you think it's good enough since we had the AC, and all of the fans on? We don't smell anything.
It's probably a good idea to wash the clothes that are out but if it's inside the drawer than they should be fine. Just because our human noses can't detect the chemicals doesn't mean it's not there and since you have a baby it's best to air the house out after the intended lot of time that the directions suggest. Check out my full playlist on how to kill fleas as some are much safer methods such as salt or vinegar: th-cam.com/play/PL8zebRtnCcumsWPXeeYaTuyoHJifAZQrh.html
Even though this comment is a year old, next time you do this make sure you set up a weekend with the grandparents or family friends to watch the children for the weekend. My parents did that when I was little, spent the weekend at a family friend's house watching movies and going to the zoo and stuff while my parents cleared the house and cleaned everything up.
Thank you! The tip broke off of one of my foggers when I tried to set it off. In the future, is there any way to fix this if it happens again? Or do you have to just get rid of it?

I would like to believe it helped me to get rid of some fleas. I haven't seen any fleas since late 2017 so now I'm good. Akira has since passed away (October 2018).
Thanks for the video! Is this safe to use in a bedroom? Will it be safe to touch surfaces exposed to the gas like beds, table tops after the smoke has cleared?
I just bought this and I'm about to use it in my bedroom for bedbugs . You suggested covering the mattress but I have bedbugs on my bed so wouldn't covering t he mattress prevent the fogger from killing the bedbugs on the mattress ? Just curious if this kills the bedbugs on the mattress as well as everywhere in the bedroom and if so how is it effective on the bedbugs on the mattress ? Sorry if this sounds ignorant but just want the best advice so I can sleep on my bed again with this issue eliminated ....if possible .
I heard bedbugs are difficult to kill and the track record of this on bedbugs weren't that great. I suggest to get a one person tent and put it on the bed until you can kill off the bedbugs or just replace the mattress. Make sure to get tents that don't have tiny openings.
What is the difference between the purple box foggers that last 7 months and the no mess that lasts 6 weeks of they both have the same instructions? Other than you need to turn off the pilot lights
I live in Hawaii and drive my car about once a week. I noticed tonight that a bunch of baby roaches have just hatched. Do you think the fogger would be okay for a vehicle and do you feel it was effective for you? Thanks for the video it’s the best one I could find.
This summer for the first time in the 6 years I got a flea infestation, it was so bad I had to sleep in my car. I used Raid Deep Reach fogger but never ever again. My skin was so badly irritated i felt like I was in hell fire. My thighs had big fat bruises all over them....my back and the back of my arms were slightly burned and felt like sandpaper. As if that wasn't enough razer blade cuts appeared all over my legs. I have vacuumed so many times, used vinegar and have steam cleaned my carpets but the chemical and smell is proving difficult to remove. I don't want any more chemicals in my home so carpet cleaning companies are a no-no. I'm just going to keep steaming my carpets until it's all gone. I fogged my house September 25th and still the fogger smell remains....worse still it didn't even kill the fleas. I'm going to order charcoal pills because I do believe the fogger poisoned me. I wIill never use it again.
Sorry to hear that. I went through the same flea infestation issue which forced me to sleep downstairs on a cat in the bedroom with tiles. It sounds like you're allergic to the chemicals. I hope this never happens to you again but if it does, I have a whole playlist of products I've tried to kill fleas: th-cam.com/play/PL8zebRtnCcumsWPXeeYaTuyoHJifAZQrh.html
Try putting borax on your carpet. You can find the instructions online. I sprinkle it on carpet (keep your pet off of it because it can make them sick) rub it into the carpet using a broom to get it deep into the carpet. Leave it for 6 hours or more and vacuum really good.
Had to bug bomb our dog kennel because spiders and carpenter ants are bad. Used raid instead of hot shot. Waiting for 4 hours then need to ventilate. Did your dog sniff around at all? I was afraid it would be bad but says it’s fine after the times up. Do you know if it works for spiders
Thanks for the video, I'm going to get this tomorrow. I was a little concern about the pilot but now I see I don't need to worry. 1question smoke detectors?
So sadly the house I moved to is infested and I’m moving soon. Someone said I can put some of my gadgets in a trash bag and in a tub with a lid on it with a fogger bomb in the bag it should kill roaches in my consoles and such. Would that work? Just wondering.
You run the risk of damaging the console because the fumes are so concentrated in such a small area. You should do more research but I think it's too risky.
Yes, you should cover food in your fridge during bug bomb use, and store it in a sealed container. Ingesting contaminated food can cause serious health issues. You can also cover other food and perishable items in a safe, concealed location.
This one is the specially designed one that you don't have to worry about pilot lights or electronic devices but keep in mind it's also probably a weaker formula
I bought the hotshot fogger with odor neutralizer because my car is contaminated with bug but I'm worried to try it in there because something on the label said the product could explode which I don't know what that means. Please clarify
I wouldn't use it in a confined space such as a car which has electrical components and gas. Use per instructions. For a car, just use a regular spray or adhesive pads.

Thanks for your response. I understand that and have experience when there is a dog/cat present to help treat the issue as the fleas bite the treated animal they will die off much faster than just bug spray alone, but my issue is fleas after we removed the cats from the home. That being said, I'm looking to find out if you were flea free for a few days after this first treatment, then maybe noticed new small that hatched within the 2 week period, then re-treated the house with bug bombs again to kill all the new hatchlings? I guess I'm wondering how effective these bombers are with fleas?

You have no idea how much I hate gnats. Pesky little buggers make me 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Can someone answer her questio I need to know as well about the fridge and hot water heater
Garages are the perfect place for spiders but they help trap flying insects so I'm ok with them.
What is a pilot light?
Did u know that if u put the heat to high doses will be attracted to it so that's y u have house flees
Flies get attracted to this? I doubt it
Thank you,
Zaynah
You probably should turn off the AC because you will be opening the windows after the recommended time when you return home. You should keep all room doors open for the fumes to spread. It's very important that you treat the pets with flea medication ASAP because they are the hosts for the fleas to feed off of. Don't forget to wash your clothes afterwards or keep them all bagged.
@@Jay_Ruledo we need to wash clothes from in the closet that are clean, after bombing?
@@MrsK976 It's suggested
@@Jay_Rule is it because the remnant spray on them could make us feel sick? That’s a ton of additional work. Thanks for your response.

I got ear wigs in my apartment. I can’t wait to go to Walmart tomorrow. I got a surprise for them. 😎
Have fun!
funniest most helpful video thank u!!!!
Thanks for watching
Main place kutchen, before use do i have to cover or store away dishes, cereal box, cover furnitures. Will it be safe to sleep on bed after use? Thanks
They recommend covering up or putting away the dishes and utensils and washing the seats and covers afterwards.
Thank you for the video! Did you turn your refrigerator for this?
No. I didn't turn off or unplug anything
So the clothes should be ok to wear, or do I wash them?
You can bag them in trash bags or wash them.
Hi there, when you use these, do you have to empty out your cabinets? Or empty your refrigerator?
No
@@Jay_Rule did you turn refrigerator off?
@@alexandrabeasley9163 No need to turn anything off. That is why this is called No Mess because you don't have to mess with anything when using.
I know this might sound silly, but what did you wipe down? Should I wash my clothes that were in drawers/closet even though the closet door was closed and so were my drawers? I left my husbands caps out, and toilet paper. lol
We have a baby and I'm just nervous what to wipe down!
I guess you can try this: th-cam.com/video/6L_aBswBUSw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MATTHEWMELTON
Thanks for the walkthrough! Super helpful.
Did you use this method multiple times before you fully got rid of them? How often do you suggest? Thanks in advance!
I only used it once and then I went on trying the vinegar spray, diatomaceous earth and salt method. You can watch all those videos in my how to kill fleas playlist: th-cam.com/play/PL8zebRtnCcumsWPXeeYaTuyoHJifAZQrh.html

I was looking for how long it was going to last spraying and your video helped alot. I am going to use 20 sec of this in a vehicle.
Instructions say don't use in vehicles
Where you put your silverware?
Inside the kitchen drawers.
Is it safe to be exposed to chemical?
Was there a smell? I know it said "ODOR NEUTRALIZER "
Was anything sticky ,wet etc?
From my memory I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary or feel any stickiness or wetness.
Anita3kids it smells like hell when coming out of bottle so wear a mask please. After it is done spraying and the 2 hours were up I walked out of my bedroom into living room and didn't even know I had bombed. There was no residue, no wetness or stickiness either.
I live in a duplex. My neighbor is using this on Tuesday. I will be covering my vents. My concern is we share a chimney will I have to come back and clean all of my furniture? Why are yall saying it dont work you can see the fleas on the floors
It works pretty good
How come in the instructions on the can said pilot light and other source of electrical current be turned off? It was not on your video...can I use 1 can fogger in my bedroom and living room ( tiny apartment)...will it explode? I am scared...need your help..ty
You will need to review the instructions but I believe the purpose of the No Mess Fogger is that you don't have to deal with lighting pilot lights.
Cool and I hope you had the dog clear of fleas too before they come back on him/her..
I haven't seen one in over 3 months so I'm keeping my fingers crossed
@@Jay_Rule did they ever come back or was this really effective?
Did you clean dishes and utensils after then? I agent mixed answers on removing them before! Clothes too!
It's a good idea to put them in the dishwasher
Thank you for recording this.
No problem!
What devices do I have to unplug, like do I have to unplug my WiFi router and do I have to unplug an electric oven?
Nothing because it's No Mess. Read the instructions to confirm yourself.
Thank you 🙏
Great video really helped!!!
I wonder if you could put it under a deck that the sides are enclosed to kill beas and wasps. I got a nest under there. I'm going to try it to see.
It's designed for enclosed rooms. If you use it outside, the wind will just blow it away. I think you need those spot on spray insect killers
Effective operation. Bravo
Thanks for watching!
Great video man! Thanks
I bought that same stuff. Did it work pretty good for you? Any bugs leftover after you bombed the rooms?
I would like to believe it helped me to get rid of some fleas. I haven't seen any fleas since late 2017 so now I'm good. Akira has since passed away (October 2018).
Im my apartment I only have windows in my bedroom and cannot open them. Do you think it'll be ok to crank up the AC & open my patio door?
Whatever you can to aerate the home and let the fumes out when you are done should be fine. Maybe use a fan too.
Thanks for the video! Is this safe to use in a bedroom? Will it be safe to touch surfaces exposed to the gas like beds, table tops after the smoke has cleared?
You just have to wipe it down after using it. Follow the instructions on the container.
@@Jay_Rule Thanks!
@@Jay_Rule did you have to turn off the smoke detectors?
Use the purple can fogger for bedbugs

What is the difference between the purple box foggers that last 7 months and the no mess that lasts 6 weeks of they both have the same instructions? Other than you need to turn off the pilot lights
That is the only difference because the other one suggests that you turn off pilot lights and not everybody wants to deal with that hassle.
Did it work on the first try ?? Please reply im dealing with them and im about to put the bombs ..
I only used it once and it seemed to work to kill some of the fleas. I also used other home remedies such as salt and vinegar spray.
Thanks !
I live in Hawaii and drive my car about once a week. I noticed tonight that a bunch of baby roaches have just hatched. Do you think the fogger would be okay for a vehicle and do you feel it was effective for you? Thanks for the video it’s the best one I could find.
It's not safe to use in vehicles

I heard it works on termites as well. I will give this a try.
Good luck
Does it also kill flys or nats?
If it kills fleas, I'm sure it is powerful to kill those "weaker" insects. Did the label I showed not say that?
It said flies
Did you solve it?
You have a nice home.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
nice clean home but doggy brought them in. make sure you use a preventive on doggy
Yep Trifexis
Thank for your video but I still have fleas in carpets since it’s think idk what to do
Give it some time to die off and check out my salt and vinegar spray videos.
Try putting borax on your carpet. You can find the instructions online. I sprinkle it on carpet (keep your pet off of it because it can make them sick) rub it into the carpet using a broom to get it deep into the carpet. Leave it for 6 hours or more and vacuum really good.
I got the raid max foggers. Do I need to unplug my range and fridge?
IDK because I've never used that. Read the instructions.
I didn't know if i should leave my couch exposed but i guess its alright
Just wipe it down after bug bombing
Did you have to cover your food?
Would this effect neighbors if you live in a condo?
I would put food in the fridge and cabinets. Fleas wouldn't be able to get up that high.
If it can kill fleas then spiders would be no issue. No, I didn't recall my dog acting weird upon entering the house.
I have gas heating, so I don't have to worry about anything as long as the heater is off right?
That is why it's called NO MESS. Please read the instructions online to determine if it's the right one for you.
How long do you have to evacuate the area?
I think instructions said 2 hours
Thanks for the video, I'm going to get this tomorrow. I was a little concern about the pilot but now I see I don't need to worry. 1question smoke detectors?
No it doesn't
Very good video thank you
Thank you too
I must have termiator fleas then ! This did not work
It takes time for it to be effective as they succumb to the poison
Why would ur electronics not work??
Probly just a liability thing.it dont mess with electronics
It's possible the spray can get inside the electronic circuits and damage the circuitry. They just want to cover their bases.
I just bought the green ones and I'm planning for using it tomorrow. How does it work? Do you know if it really kills roaches? :/
roaches and fleas are the hardiest insects but I will give the edge to fleas because they are SO DAMN HARD TO CATCH & TINY
Has it worked?
So sadly the house I moved to is infested and I’m moving soon. Someone said I can put some of my gadgets in a trash bag and in a tub with a lid on it with a fogger bomb in the bag it should kill roaches in my consoles and such. Would that work? Just wondering.
You run the risk of damaging the console because the fumes are so concentrated in such a small area. You should do more research but I think it's too risky.
he didn't put in part about food covering will fridge protect food or should you remove it
Yes, you should cover food in your fridge during bug bomb use, and store it in a sealed container. Ingesting contaminated food can cause serious health issues. You can also cover other food and perishable items in a safe, concealed location.
I love how these work thanks

Good to know
I bought the hotshot fogger with odor neutralizer because my car is
contaminated with bug but I'm worried to try it in there because
something on the label said the product could explode which I don't know
what that means. Please clarify
I wouldn't use it in a confined space such as a car which has electrical components and gas. Use per instructions. For a car, just use a regular spray or adhesive pads.

It says it will and plus spiders aren't that hard to kill when compared to fleas and bed bugs.

It's a good idea
Hi there, so how'd it work out? did you do this again 2 weeks later and if so has it solved the problem 100%?
I think this along with using Trifexis for the dog should be the first step along with vacuuming everyday.
I see this vids, are from 3 years ago. I assume you won your battle against them, but did you got reinfested? And if not, how did you do to keep your house flea free?

It will but not as efficient. In some aerosols, the propellant is an endothermic reaction. By shaking the can, you are stimulating the chemical process of the propellant, causing the contents of the can to absorb heat from your body.
