Dylane Stephens Thanks for sharing that info because I wasn't sure what the numbers were. I agree with you about Dre 💯. Hopefully, Dre will feel compelled to make things right one day. 👊🏽
Man thats respect bro. D.O.C. is a legend off of one solo album and his pen for a-lot of classics for NWA, The Chronic and Doggystyle. He says all the time that he wanted the respect of the East coast M.C.'s so it drove him to be great. Notice how there is hardly a cuss word on his album. It's kind of a nod to his favorite M.C. Rakim.
The fact The DOC is still heavily respected over 20 years after putting on 1 album before his accident speaks volumes....You young bucs better do your research... Snoop would not have a career if this man kept his voice.
I think the timeline would have been very different. There’s a good chance that aftermath wouldn’t exist, death row wouldn’t exist in the same form, that also means pac probably wouldn’t have the drama that he had as an artist
jboog1974 I'm not sure if Snoop's career wouldn't have blown up, but I feel the respect you are giving D.O.C. For the folks replying to your post downplaying D.O.C. all I can say is this. Dude wrote alot of Eazy's parts. He's all in the movie, and D.O.C. was the FIRST solo artist on Ruthless. If that doesn't tell you how good he was, then i don't know what will. His pen is also all over the Chonic and Doggystyle albums. Look back at the video's and old N.W.A. interviews. D.O.C. is everywhere. There is a reason a cat that had no voice after his accident is everywhere they are. Snoop always big ups him. and Ice Cube said during N.W.A.'s rock n roll hall of fame induction that the D.O.C. was the 5th member of the group bcoz he penned alot of their music. West Dallas born n bred D.O.C. with Dr Rock and the Fila Fresh Crew.
@Ali Chaudhry D.O.C. to this day said NY hip hop is what he listened to and wanted the respect of bcoz he saw himself as a lyricist. I didn't mean to downplay Snoop, but if you watch, in a lot of interviews Snoop credits Doc as the person who groomed him as an artist.
