All of my friends and I who love the show were crying!! I love how they explore so many emotions with him. There is so much they can do with the show!! Would love to see an episode of before he was "fallen" and what led to his "falling out". The humor, the songs and singing are great!! Please keep that up!! Love every aspect of the show!! And here's to some more nudity and fun!! Lol!!
One of my favorite episodes is the episode where the guys in hell and his day keeps repeating without him knowing, cause he’s in a loop and doesn’t realize it what so ever, and we start and end the same way, which really intrigued me...

For me he's not much of a Lucifer from the comics but he is spot on for the Lucifer in this show. It was his performance in the pilot that convinced me to keep watching.
He was completely typecast already -> have you seen (1 season only) of Rush? (he portrays a doctor but all the same elements there: drugs women, fast cars, unresponsible behaviour, impossible relations). It was FUN!!

I would love to see more stuff from the comics put into the show! Unfortunately, I can see some people finding it to be a bit more bland because(and totally correct me if I’m wrong) but in the comics Lucifer has the ability to change anything into anything, which is uh frickin OP
Well, they could potentially just decide that as a failsafe the presence/his father sealed that ability along with how his immortality is gone as long as Chloe is present, except this one has a far greater range. For example "as long as she is present on earth he may not use his absolute power to it's fullest magnitude" or he was just ordered against messing with creation in a major way. I mean as much as he likes to talk smack, i feel like lucifer would be terrified of provoking another event that targets the detective's life again like the last time one of his other brothers came to visit. Obviously he has many more brothers and sisters to deal with if he pisses daddy off too much so, in the absolute sense of the words he would have to fend off "God's wrath".
Yes and in the show his father wants him to either mature as he stays among humans or go back to watching over hell. I can't imagine he'd want lucifer to mess with anything like that, also there are always ways to justify things going the way they did despite his (God given) powers. Stubbornness in not relying on his fathers gifts to him, the majority of his power having been sealed in his original wings, a second limitation placed into Chloe that he is still unaware off, he just assumed his power had dwarfed as a result of him cutting off his wings when he came to earth. Already there is a number of things that have been shown to us and could hold power he's unaware of over him. And who knows what else we'll be shown in the future. I mean ultimately in the comics the presence leaves behind some kid in his place (she looked like a kid, i'm not sure at the moment) as God, tells lucifer that all he wanted was to create an independent being that could function outside of his will. In the end the both just go their separate ways with lucifer flying out into the blank white void. And that's as far as i've seen of the lucifer comics. Lucifer is so much more than just Deckerstar, so bringing those 2 together after 3 very long seasons just feels natural and would bring new exiting aspects to the show. I dont watch the show just to see them becoming a couple, but if they're not at the end of S4 (they obviously have to deal with a lot after S3 finale) it would make absolutly no sense after 3 seasons dancing around each other and i really hope the writers now that, even if Tom is so vehemently against it :/

Exactly like they both know they like each other...it doesn't make sense for them to keep going back and forth for so long. Either get together or move on since it's been 3 years but don't spend 4 years just teasing something
Thank God Neflix is continuing with Lucifer!! When I heard it was cancelled on Fox I nearly had a breakdown. I went into a serious panic attack but was super relieved to find out Netflix saved it. Netflix if you see this... Thank you! I lo lo loooove you!!!!!
A priest walks into a bar I think that was my favorite episode as well particularly love the story and the music /singing I want Lucifer/tom to release an album with all the songs that he is done in the same manner he has done them in the show
So glad this show is comin back. I just spent the past few days binge watching all seasons and finally finished it. Soo excited for season 4. Can't wait!!👍🏼👍🏼🔥
6:17 -- *Oh my God,* that's my favorite episode in the series. I loved the dynamic of Lucifer's friendship with the Priest, and after he died, the scene of Lucifer playing the piano with Chloe Decker is my absolute favorite moment in the whole series!
My second favorite, my favorite is the Episode were Lucifer mourns Uriel, I really like the episodes with emotional impact and lucifer at his piano broken down playing Unforgiven simply cannot be topped for me.
I can't see them taking it on if they only planned on one season at time, so I can see at least two minimum. I mean, Iron Fist is getting a second season and that wasn't too well liked.
I really hope they will have more than 1 or 2 season's because I don't really want them to wrap up the series. I'd love to see them go another 3 years or more if possible. And like Tom Ellis said, once Lucifer and Chloe get together, that will be the end of the series. I guess we will have to wait and see what they come up with.
I hope so too, I'm just saying that 2 seasons will be the minimum. I've always said that 5-7 seasons is an ideal run for the majority of TV shows. It's long enough to get stuck in and tell a story but without dragging it out too long. You also have to bear in mind that Netflix doesn't need the kind of immediate viewing numbers that Fox does, so if it gets around season 3 numbers again it will be good to go.
I could live with 5 to 7 seasons of it. Look at what happened to Star Trek the original series. They went on with more series that lasted a few year longer and a round of movies.
They talk about how most people watch for the relationship between Chloe and Lucifer, and I get that, but I think that the real overarching story is how God had everything planned out for Lucifer that Lucifer would finally become the risen angel and I think this part needs more emphasis and growth in season 4.
I'm glad I haven't been burdened with the comic book version of Lucifer so I can enjoy it for what it is. Not spending my time comparing them. I think the Nielson ratings are no longer valid. It only focuses on network programs and U.S. population. TV is not hundreds of stations and a world wide audience.
Shawn Allen it’s because supernatural has a power aspect. Lucifer is too much drama. The show has potential to be absolutely amazing but you need lucifer to have that badass and powerful feel he had during the first season
I used to watch Supernatural, maybe 3 seasons. Then it became "Let's Kill a Major Character every Season" and I tuned it out. There are/were only 3 major characters... (I'm including Dad, Mom was already dead.) They are vastly different shows. Lucifer is more light-hearted and silly. The 3rd season kinda sucked, IMO. It needs to return to the more supernatural feel of season 1 - again, IMO. Sadly, Constantine is now in Legends. I would have loved to see him appear in Lucifer.
First 6 seasons of supernatural were the best! After that it kind of went downhill and at this point they are finding any reason to keep going but I do love Supernatural to death but I know what your saying. Lucifer definitely deserves a few more seasons
Season 1 was amazing, but had flaws, season 2 had a strong start but THE FUCKING FILLER EPISODES almost ruined it for me,also lucifer a nigh omniscient being, being outsmarted and so close minded breaks me.This is fucking dumb.Season 3 was utter garbage, except the reporter episode and the last 2 which were amazing and redeemed the awful season.
I just got on board with the show. And I literally binged watched every episode in a space of 4.5 days! LOVED the scene where Lucifer’s wings came out and protected the DETECTIVE! Love the entire cast! Great show and can’t WAIT to see more! Thank you Netflix!!!
well last season was "broken" so i think they shouldnt be afraid to change it, 10 episodes on Netflix give opportunity to cut the bullshit side character relationships and get heavy and fast paced story between just Lucifer and Chloe, ofc with a lot of supernatural stuff, because season 3 was just another soap opera
I felt like they dragged out the Chloe and Marcus thing too long. Only thing that made up for it was showing Lucifer's feelings come out about how he felt about Chloe. I hope they don't drag out any more love triangles in S4. More supernatural should be the direction they take. Tom Ellis does such a good job of playing Lucifer. I think he really enjoys the role and It seems like his facial expressions can almost make him look like a different man at times. Like after he killed Uriel and his mom asked what happened when he came into the penthouse. And another time when he was walking through Hell looking for the professors door, his face looked like it was different in a way. I also hope the writing gets better than it did in S3.
@@XanderFenikkusu If that is so, then I'll bet it's between Chloe and Eve. What little I did see of S4, Eve is seen with Lucifer at an event and she also walks in his penthouse to speak with him while he's standing at his piano with a drink in hand. And someone (don't remember who now) said there was going to be a baby involved as well. Looking like Eve will be a regular in the series with S4. I hope it will begin in March, but rumor is April. Someone started a rumor that it wouldn't come out until fall, but I don't believe that at all. Hope they will do season 5 starting this summer for fall showing. All conjecture so guess we'll have to wait for the "shoe" to fall. Hope it's a roaring success so we can have more season's and the show runners said they have lots of idea's. Fingers crossed here!
I really do hope they focus more on the supernatural stuff in the Luciverse. I mean, they could take so many things from the comics or the mythology itself since they're not bound by it. I wanna see the Sandman, Azreal, Gabriel, Michael (even though they basically replaced him with Amenadiel in the show..). I wanna see demons other than Maze, wreaking havoc. We already have enough Cop shows.
So they can whine about it on the internet after the episodes have aired because it's the only thing that gives their lives meaning? ;-) Seriously though, there are other things and characters in the show to like. Just because they don't like one part (even if it's a major part) doesn't mean they can't enjoy the rest of the show. I mean, I don't mind their relationship, it's just part of the show to me like in so many other shows. That's fine but it's nowhere close to being my favourite part of the show or the reason why I watch.
lwaves I love the relationship but I see what you mean I watch it because I love the comedy and lucifers personality. I also love the supernatural part to it !!!!
Exactly. When I heard this was going to be a procedural cop, case of the week show I rolled my eyes but gave the early release pilot a go anyways. Tom's performance, the humour, the banter between all the characters and the supernatural element pulled me in and persuaded me that it was a show worth watching. Not many shows get me after one episode. To be clear, I don't hate the Lucifer/Chloe relationship of will they/won't they, far from it. It's just that I've seen it too many times before over the years for it to be the major attracter. It's still a good relationship though.
Priv4teP4nc4kes yeah I really want to see more supernatural in it, but I am very excited to find out how Chloe deals with finding out lucifer is the devil.
I would like to take a moment and thank NFLX. This was a great move and as a investor in NFLX I am happy as I see Lucifer had a good fan base to bring in subscribers.
I absolutely love Lucifer! I've suggested the show to my friends and family and they like me are hooked and love the show! I'm watching from season one again! Most people are watching on Netflix! Thank you Netflix.
I watched Lucifer for Lucifer in itself. Tom Ellis is one of the best actors I have ever seen. He’s just amazing and that’s why I am watching and I’m more in love with how he can put some of his personality into Lucifer and live as him b/c like other actors they half ass it and go in pretending and he’s just okay let’s actually get into the characters mind and become him.
Dear Tom, Lucifer was our favorite show. So, so happy that the show will have a new home. You are so great as the character. Love the humor and supernatural stuff. Wish you all this best for the next adventure with this show.
Yay! It's a great show and deserves to unfold creatively in it's own right. Tom is perfect as Lucifer, such a rich character backed by an equally complex and interesting personality.
It's like they dropped the writers after season 1 and replaced them with teenage girls, only reason I continued to watch the show is because of how intriguing of an actor Tom Ellis is. I have a lot of faith in Netflix though
The writers were kind of strapped by Fox according to what I read. Fox wanted to keep it light. I think we'll get to see a darker side and more mythology, which everyone who watches the show likes. Of course, the dick jokes are clearly what brings people back, so hopefully plenty of that.
correction: after season 2. the first two seasons were good, procedural cop stuff was balanced well with supernatural themes. they completely ruined the show in S3.
Lucifer meets a Priest and Befriends him....Fucking Loved That Episode. The amount of Anger Lucifer portrayed against him and lifted him against the wall...OMFG...Brilliant, I literally rewatched that scene 3 times straight after.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK ON LUCIFER! I am a huge fan. XOXO. I can’t wait till Season 4. Ridiculous as it may sound, this series has been therapy for me. Wish I could have done extra work on the series as I used to do back in the day. I would have loved to meet the cast. I am already ready to fight for Season 5 if need be...
Just watched the show and this as my first interview of Tom Ellis and I must say Im impressed because there are a lot of things I dont like about the series but some that I really like and I got the feeling that he sees a lot of those things similar to me. Gives me hope that the Netflix revival will dive deeper into the great pool of potential that the stories and characters offer.
I love this guy's acting job. He's really good and perfect for the role. Of course the entire cast (including the special guests) is great, but I gotta say he just nails it. And the storyline is very amusing as well. I'm glad this show is not over!
When I saw the trailer years ago, I didn't expect it to be Drama and family ish... I expected a more dark horror and thriller mystery type, firstly I was glad it was cancelled, and I was also more happy it's renewed because we can start fresh. I hope they change that drama stuff and stay true to the comics by putting Constantine and Presence and the famous characters from comics.
His favorite episode is the one that totally sold me on the show. He was me, feeling the similar feelings I have with God right now in my life, and the struggles I have with my own faith. I mourned and raged with the devil. It hit me SO hard. In other news! Thank you Netflix! Ps: as a k-pop junky... you might be able to guess another favorite episode and scene! Love to shiNEE!
to be honest, I never would say such things. But this series is bringing us good knowledge.I use to not be a believer when i was young...now I am married have two girls. I am a provider, not a house-wife...these series and the writer with these actor/actress makes it realistic.
Most important line at 4:29 - ; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Incredible show. one point on the relationship - yes, the "will they..." is a great pull...but only if it is not put off constantly for what feels like contrived reasons. Having them in a relationship would be fine - as there obviously would be an incredibly number of complications there to explore....

FOX was more interested in the big bucks they were going to get by showing sports instead. They pretty much killed Lucifer TV program by moving it to an earlier time and cancelling it for garbage like Miss America pagent. Also, it had competition of Dancing with the Star's and other garbage like reality shows on at the same time.
I LOVE Lucifer. I didn't get to watch it coz it was on an American network but God answered my prayers. I am now watching all 3 seasons on Netflix. A Priest Walks Into A Bar~ is honestly one of the top 3 episodes. It was so freaking good.
A priest walks into a bar I think that was my favorite episode as well particularly love the story and the music /singing
I want Lucifer/tom to release an album with all the songs that he is done in the same manner he has done them in the show
So glad this show is comin back. I just spent the past few days binge watching all seasons and finally finished it. Soo excited for season 4. Can't wait!!👍🏼👍🏼🔥
Desiree Alicea me 2
For me in the Netherlands, the show has always been on Netflix from the start. Lucifer has a lot of Dutch fans for sure!
Davina Poot definitely!!!!! 🇳🇱🇳🇱
Davina Poot that happens too in CostaRica. Puravida !
6:17 -- *Oh my God,* that's my favorite episode in the series. I loved the dynamic of Lucifer's friendship with the Priest, and after he died, the scene of Lucifer playing the piano with Chloe Decker is my absolute favorite moment in the whole series!
Aaaaaand now I really wanna hear Tom as Lucifer singing Creep by Radiohead...
Along with a piano version of the song.
TardisCoreST yes, me too !
Yesss!! Love that song. You should hear Chase Eagleson's version of it too!
Search TH-cam for it. Tom and Aimee posted a 1 minute snippet of the song on instagram

That priest episode is my favorite too! (1x09) I've watched it at least 10 times
lama rose I've watched it about 5 times as well, definitely one of my favorite episodes.
My second favorite, my favorite is the Episode were Lucifer mourns Uriel, I really like the episodes with emotional impact and lucifer at his piano broken down playing Unforgiven simply cannot be topped for me.
Me too! Especially the scene in which Lucifer and the priest were talking outside the penthouse.
The music is one of the best parts of the show. The piano duel was one of my favorite moments! So many great moments in that episode. I love it.
Less detective nonsense more supernatural stuff please.
factz
agreed
Totally agree!
But we get to keep the comedy still, right?
right.. like just show that detective stuff one time in 3 episodes... but more history of lucifer would be nice :)
I’m really hoping they use Ella Lopez more. She’s my favorite character and I love her relationship with Lucifer. Also, I want more RayRay!
Priest walks into a bar ....i loved that episode one of my favv
0:14 Lol Tom singing Take a Chance on Me 😂
Marcello Christo same thought 😂
Outside of post Uriel death "Unforgiven", the priests death was so sad with Lucifer playing "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
Hopefully coming back for more than one season
Netflix will keep with whatever gets views. I believe streaming will work in Lucifers interests to stay on air rather than TV (Fox).
They talk about how most people watch for the relationship between Chloe and Lucifer, and I get that, but I think that the real overarching story is how God had everything planned out for Lucifer that Lucifer would finally become the risen angel and I think this part needs more emphasis and growth in season 4.
I still want almost 30 episodes for each season...can't get enough!
I think my favourite song was from season 1 when he sung sinnerman, perhaps because I felt it related well. they need to make it more like that
at first i was a bit sceptical about 10 eps but then i thought it's better to have fewer episodes than non at all. Love the show
I'm glad I haven't been burdened with the comic book version of Lucifer so I can enjoy it for what it is. Not spending my time comparing them. I think the Nielson ratings are no longer valid. It only focuses on network programs and U.S. population. TV is not hundreds of stations and a world wide audience.
Gatekeeper OMG. - SO TRUE. Neilson ratings SUCK as a “standard”. 😑
Nielsen ratings are incredibly outdated, they are a twentieth century relic.
@@flashofearth01 Neilson ratings are only a small sampling of the people watching and seems to me they can be manipulated so should be done away with.
It really hacks me off that crap like Supernatural gets 14 seasons and Lucifer has to beg for a 4th season.
Shawn Allen it’s because supernatural has a power aspect. Lucifer is too much drama. The show has potential to be absolutely amazing but you need lucifer to have that badass and powerful feel he had during the first season
Supernatural has a loyal following and a different audience. I bet if supernatutal were to be pitched today it wouldnt do as good.
I used to watch Supernatural, maybe 3 seasons. Then it became "Let's Kill a Major Character every Season" and I tuned it out. There are/were only 3 major characters... (I'm including Dad, Mom was already dead.)
They are vastly different shows.

Whoops, error comment
@@CatHouseMouse251 There is a love triangle in S4 - I'm pretty sure. If that source is correct the love triangle will, this time, be with 2 women.
And now that version of CREEP is my favourite 😍
You can feel the pain, sadness , madness and depression in Lucifer without his beloved Chloe 😭😭😭😭
The priest episode was definitely one of my favorites, and I would love more than anything to hear Tom sing Creep as Lucifer that would amazing!
I think Lucy is the best show and best char on TV right now
But its not on tv lol
I really do hope they focus more on the supernatural stuff in the Luciverse. I mean, they could take so many things from the comics or the mythology itself since they're not bound by it. I wanna see the Sandman, Azreal, Gabriel, Michael (even though they basically replaced him with Amenadiel in the show..). I wanna see demons other than Maze, wreaking havoc. We already have enough Cop shows.
Why do people who don’t like lucifer and Chloe’s relationship even watch the show ?
So they can whine about it on the internet after the episodes have aired because it's the only thing that gives their lives meaning? ;-)
Seriously though, there are other things and characters in the show to like.
MiniStream7 I like the relationship but I wish they would focus more on the supernatural aspect of it rather than the relationship part like season 1
Netflix has been pumping out some pretty good stuff. I'm excited to see where Netflix takes it.
I absolutely love Lucifer! I've suggested the show to my friends and family and they like me are hooked and love the show! I'm watching from season one again! Most people are watching on Netflix! Thank you Netflix.
🙋🏼♀️ I’m all for Lucy’s ‘bum’ being on the show 😈 hoping he’ll sing more
I watched Lucifer for Lucifer in itself.
Priest walks in to the bar is still my fav episode
Same writers and director's but maybe a freer hand than network TV allowed. And I agree that Tom Ellis does such a good job of portraying Lucifer!
Big fan of lucifer hope the show continues for many more seasons to come.
Love the show love the actors hoping for many more seasons to come!!!
Quite interesting how Lucifer made me really think how love makes him vulnerable.
So glad Lucifer got renewed! I’m loving it! ❤️
I love this guy's acting job. He's really good and perfect for the role. Of course the entire cast (including the special guests) is great, but I gotta say he just nails it. And the storyline is very amusing as well. I'm glad this show is not over!
That little tidbit of the song Creep and then it actually making it into the season!
#LuciferSaved
Am I the only one who really loved season 3....😁😂
Lemelle Destinie nope
the last few episodes were the only ones i really liked in season 3. But my favorite was Season 2 eps 13 i believe where Chloe was in the hospital.
Nope. Season 1 was better. Season 3 made me angry
I think season 3 is the best season
Nope. I've loved all seasons
He's so down to earth! Love his accent. I hope it gets darker more supernatural but I love Chloe and Lucifer together.
You wont see Constantine due to licensing
constantine has only met lucifer once in the comics,tf u on
His favorite episode is the one that totally sold me on the show.
I love this show man , i like the diffrent approach they took and this dude is a great actor.
i can't tell you how much i love the show i'm on season 2 for the 3 time .. i really want to see this be a HUGE success ! i believe.
Lucifer is awesome. End of discussion.
So happy lucifer comes back its awesome and he is so right i was waiting for so long for chloe to see his face
to be honest, I never would say such things. But this series is bringing us good knowledge.I use to not be a believer when i was young...now I am married have two girls. I am a provider, not a house-wife...these series and the writer with these actor/actress makes it realistic.
Am I the only one who loved all the seasons?
I just finished watching the last episode of season 3 and I'm happy to see that there will be MORE!!!!
I absolutely loved lucifer and can’t wait to watch it on Netflix
Love this dude and the show in general. Thank you Netflix. Can't wait for the new season.
OMG I would love to hear him do a version of “Creep”.
I'm so in love with Tom. Everything about him❤️❤️❤️
Character development. Character growth. Lucifer gets learnt, Lucifer starts next episode the same as S1E1. Grow, god damn it, grow.
I loved every season! Rewatching over and over with new friends until Season 4!
Lucifer needs an episode titled The Devil Went Down to Georgia, and have Lucifer sing that song somewhere in the episode.
LOL! I have been saying this! I need to hear Lucifer's opinion of that song! Would he be offended? Amused? I really want to know.
@@BoarderMiah Same here. Though I think he'd be both. Amused about going to Georgia, probably based on one of his trips to Earth in the past, but offended to think he'd lose to some human. 🤣
hes such a bean i love him oml
Just started to watch Lucifer , really happy it got taken by Netflix !
Great news. Obviously the handsome and hilarious Mr Ellis is the reason the show is so popular.
Tom Ellis is an amazingly talented person he version of all along the watchtower is unbelievable. Its on YT check it out.
Excited to see what direction Netflix takes though, tbh I believe this would work better as a feature film.
The acting and writing in this show topnotch.
Lucifer is very popular in Croatia. Tom Ellis when will you come to Croatia? You're a great actor ... and a singer.
Can't wait to see how they continue it after that season finale.
i would love for someone to just do a cameo, a small cameo, of lucifer meeting morpheus (dream of the endless). i mean, he did leave the key to hell to him in the comics
Yea ryt I actually watched it because the characters/actors are so interesting. They fit in every character they're assigned. This is my favorite Series ❤
I would just about DIE if they feature a creep cover. That's my favorite song EVER!!
I'm So happy Netflix picked up "Lucifer"!! It's such a good show.. Can't wait till next season!!!
Tom is so adorable
Awesome interview!!!! Thank you 😊I love Lucifer.
Am I the only person who really enjoys the relationship between Lucifer and dan? I find them so funny together.
Omg I am soooooo excited!!!! Thank god for Netflix!!!!!
ratings tank because most of us dont watch TV ... the show is AMAZING and i wanna see 30 seasons !!!!
im relieved that the show will go to netflix and we get another season hope even more cause the show is just awesome and i hate that sometimes they start a serie and then at a point where you see the last episode of the season and then no new season cause the episode where cloe sees lucifer for what he realy is that was what everyone was waiting for and then they say cancel it cause of some stupid ratings or whatever the reason and for the record tom ellis you are an amazing actor i realy love how you play lucifer your the best i'll be patiently waiting for the next season
Omg his voice!! ❤❤
Have to say 1 Season and the 3rd Season were the best. Have to see response of the detective in seeing his face finally.
I LOVE Lucifer. I didn't get to watch it coz it was on an American network but God answered my prayers. I am now watching all 3 seasons on Netflix. This show is much better, more real, than Supernatural but it needs to add more of the Samael and creation backstory. The world is beginning to wake up to Samael being the good guy most loyal, most favorite who has to do the dirty job.
