It's by far the most extensive in both and took the series on to a darker more serious road. But honestly, every games in the series is great for their time and they all represent a different era for each of their own, it's not fair to compare them when they're all good in their own way

And he actually retained all of his skills. His body, without the actual Liu Kang behind the wheel. Lbvs. But if you win the entire game by playing as him, he actually gets his life back and become Liu Kang in both the body and his spirit.

As a kid I didn’t appreciate the detail in this game as much as I do now. Things like Liu Kang’s wrist chains realistically dangling and swinging as he moves, and Hotaru’s flags waving in the wind.
