I'm only a third of the way through, but I'd expect a Mary Kate and Ashley game to be on the list, my little sister had tons of them and they all were trash.
They used to have a WCW themed electronic toy where they make your thumb-wrestles or thumb-wars look like a professional wrestling match. You can push a thumb into the mini arena to taunt, and once one thumb pins the other, they start the pinfall count.
Just because a game is absolute shit doesn't mean it's worthless. It may be a pile of crap as a game but it can still mean the world to folks. I feel the same way about movies. The OG Super Mario Bros film is a total flop by all accounts. However, as a kid, I was simply excited to see Mario and Luigi "for real". I still love that movie and I still watch it to this day. If you take it as a stand alone film and recognize it's non-canon to the Mario Universe, it's actually not all that horrible.
Bro, pepsiman is legendary here in Mexico, everybody had that game and loved it. Last time I played it was on an arcade machine with a friend around 2014. I have good memories with pepsiman.
I am not sure what they mean by the technology wasn't ready yet for light gun games when talking about Resident Evil: Survivor. By the time Survivor was released the Playstation had gotten ports of Time Crisis (1997) and Point Blank (1998) and both were fantatsic recreations. Hell, Time Crisis had a bonus misson made just for the Playstation. Namco also made Project Titan, a spin-off to the original Time Crisis.
Yeah, Namco knew how to make a great light gun shooter on the PlayStation since they were arcade ports. Capcom seemed to have rushed development on Resident Evil: Gun Survivor. I heard that the sequel for PlayStation 2 is pretty decent though since they got development help from Namco.
I kno!!! I had Lethal Enforcers 1&2 and a light gun. It was great!!! That's a "mannn.... it's this controller" argument when a friend get WIPED OUT in Tekken or Street Fighter!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Its not the tech!!! With that it's the game! So much so I started to try and play it but bailed!!🏃♂️💨🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
You're right. I think, however, he mistook it because WWE bought WCW. I'm guessing he hasn't done his homework and doesn't realize what happened as a result and just thinks WCW still goes on under WWE. That's my guess, and it's probably wrong but who knows.
Spawn: The Eternal, Resident Evil: Survivor, Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi, Pepsiman and Bubsy 3D. Those worst games have been covered by the AVGN and now he has got fifteen to go.

1:55 I remember even back when I was a kid that the Arthur games didn`t deliver when it came to quality. I would picture the best experience as a game that was bigger in size, offered more depth and stepped outside of the shows comfort zone (such as the characters trying to get from point A to B on a snowmobile at a haunted forest setting, scale an obstacle packed tower to free a trapped character and take down an antagonist who would pose a more serious threat to the town, all with a doorstopper length plot connecting it all together).
@@darth_smooth81I said some games my dude, and no i did not base my opinion on "nostalgia glasses" . I enjoyed Pepsiman a lot, and it's by no means a bad game, quite challenging in fact. Army men 3D single player was ass to be sure, but the multiplayer was pretty fun.
I can fight to death over that, too. It's better than every other Digimon game on the PSX (sorry Rumble Arena). Loved the buggy exploration, the fights and evolution system, the clans, etc. Original World felt incomplete and rushed and 3 missed the charisma and novelty of 2 (just the typical style of jrpg on PSX)
Gotham city racer, South Park, Burning road, Trash it, Batman Forever, Cheesy, the Weakest Link, Who wants to be a millionaire, Ski Air Mix, X-Files are a few more to mention.
I remember playing WCW Nitro since it had a "Greatest Hits" label and felt disappointed. I thought that game was the worst wrestling game on the PlayStation 1. Then I played WCW Backstage Assault and I was impressed that Nitro felt like WCW/nWo Revenge compared to Backstage Assault. 😢
Damn I can't remember which one Nitro was. Was that the one that featured a FMV of each wrestler delivering a short promo about why you should or shouldn't pick them? Or was that Thunder? That was Thunder, wasn't it? I'm not sure I ever played Nitro.
I can’t believe Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi made the cover of Electronic Gaming Monthly. The Simpsons Wrestling also made the cover of Tips & Tricks magazine surprisingly. One of the worst PlayStation games I remember playing was The Crow: City of Angels. That was painful to play at a friend’s house, but at least we had a good laugh at it when one of the enemies says “hey clownface!” 😂.
@acr04cr wrong, tons of people liked Pepsiman, Army Men and some other classics from this list - nobody likes those fcks you said. Maybe you do, but as always - you're just wrong.
am i the only 1 who enjoyed the simpsons wrestling game ?😅. used to love playing the game with my mates when i was a kid . i remember ned flanders being an absolute cheat code with his pray to god then lightning striking the opponent !😅
I Wish They Did Make Another Star Wars Fighting Game! Lightsiders vs Darksiders! Imagine the Possiblities? Like Star Wars Soul Caliber! Lightsaber to Lightsaber Combat! Awesome Stuff! 👍❤️
Beyond the Beyond is one of the worst RPGs for PS1. The encounter rate is crazy and you can’t hardly figure out where to go, plus one of your characters is cursed in your party. 😅
I remember playing that Hellboy game when I was kid. It was just plain unplayable. Terrible controls, camera angles, and gameplay. Pepsi Man is super enjoyable as a kid though. I didn't even know at the time that is it blatant marketing from Pepsi.
6:54 I can answer that: Teras Kasi is a battle technique, and Arden Lyn is chosen by the Emperor to fight against rebels who destroyed Death Star. (The game actually tells you right in the beginning of the Star Wars screen). Despite being awful or bad, I did enjoyed it pretty much. It has John Williams's original score, all the sounds of the game were took from the movies and listening Boba Fett speaking another quotes was mind blowing back in the day.
*Jupiter Strike* is my worst PS1 game. A Star Fox clone with no power ups, saves or checkpoints. The first boss is near impossible to beat, and when you die, you have to redo the entire stage!
Marvel Rivals proves that the Fantastic 4 can work in non-comic media. No-one before had really tried...save the first commercially released movie. That one _tried,_ but I blame the director for it being kinda meh. A Fantastic 4 game done in the X-Men: Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance style would kick all sorts of ass (emphasis on Sue's ass). Especially with 20+ other Marvel characters that have joined the team off-and-on over the decades. Anyone listening?
Teras Kasi was a good game. If you learned Luke Skywalker's move set & knew how to use the ring to your advantage, you were practically unbeatable. Plus, you could play with his Return of the Jedi outfit if you pressed the right buttons at the character select screen. What other game at that time let you fight Darth Vader & Boba Fett? It may not be a classic, but it was definitely fun to play...
This shows how back then, they would push games out because of how crazy the gaming market was. They didn't care if it failed, it was probably going to sell enough copies regardless. Now we can't get high end companies to make a proper game most of the time, or they ruin it with updates. I wish we could go back to the days of these games.
Well, there were the two Dragon Ball games that made their way over here. Also, amazed that Phix The Adventure wasn't here. I personally haven't played it, but based on a certain YT channel's video, I think that game deserves to be on this list.
I remember GamePro Magazine hyping up Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi with a review score of nearly perfect 5.0's across the board. I got it as the very first video game with my Playsation in 1997. I loved the hell out of that game and didn't think it was actually a *bad* game, but I wouldn''t call it a masterpiece either. As the time went on and I see more and more people make videos detailing how clunky the whole thing actually is, I guess I can't disagree with them. I still wouldn't call it one of the worst games on the whole console, though.
Everyone Knows The Smurfs (1998) Was Dukey Trash Water I saw a Longplay and It was a Super Mario Bros. Knockoff and y'all better not go "The Smurfs debuted In 1958" route either they ripped off Mario's Gameplay and Super Mario 64 (1996) graphics style just as Bad as that Awful Smurfs The Lost Village (2017) movie I watched that not very proud of It
I've had the dishonour of playing the top 2 worst games on this list... one of them is too girly and clunky, the other is just falling in water after a horrible jump or 10 with bad camera angles and controls... Having said that, I must confess that I still own a copy of the number 1 worst game and occasionally play it to try and complete it... it takes too much time out of my day to do it often... The game looks like a test version of Crash Bandicoot with simple walls, pits, platforms, enemies, etc...
The technology for Resident Evil: Survivor WAS there. But the light gun functionality was removed from all North American copies of the game because of the Columbine Massacre.
Surprised X6 didn't make the list because it sure as heck deserved it. There are people who often regard it as not just the worst MegaMan X game, but also the worst Mega Man game, period. And before anyone starts talking about it, one, it was on the PS2, two, it was made from scratch, and three, it honestly felt more like a MegaMan X game than the next main entry after it. Not a proper one, but still one nonetheless.
I don't know who wrote the script here, but they clearly aren't over the age of 30, and don't know the PS1. Nevermind that WCW and WWE are two totally different companies. Army Men 3D does suck because it was the first game in the series! Definitely could have replaced at least 3 games mentioned with alot worse games.
You want to know how I know this is a bad list? Because Tiny Toon Adventures: Plucky's Big Adventure is the worst game ever made and it somehow didn't get on this list, instead WatchMojo put a game like Pepsiman on here instead.
I've long felt that Resident Evil Survivor gets an unfairly bad rap. I go through it thrice whenever I binge on the franchise. Fun Fact: It predates Code: Veronica by a week in Japan. Also, the first Hellboy movie came out the year after Asylum seeker was ported.

As a kid I liked Fantastic 4 Game even tho I didn't watch the movie. There were plenty of worse games like Skeleton Warriors where you basicly had 1 Attack for the entire game.
