My favorite line from him is when he says "ok" after Sean Connery says he just joined the Treasury Department. Lol. Just the way he says it is so funny to me.
Followed Connery around a pro am tournament in Newcastle Upon Tyne,England in 1980, and he was so funny, and a big guy in real life as well...and not a bad golfer to boot
We do not see enough of Andy Garcia in the movies, and, of course, I am also a huge fan of Sean Connery - while not afraid to be controversial, Sean absolutely did Scotland proud.
Little bit of Sean trivia While Sean held out for big money to continue Bond, he donated a million dollars to build the Boys and Girls Of Edinburgh . He being a swimmer first, made sure that he was able to give back to his home town. Now that is a man of honor.
Andy Garcia is a very cool person. I know him pretty well. He lives in Toluca Lake Burbank. His friends know me also-Arturo Sandoval and Tony Plana. Also nice guys. Andy lives the simple life. Yes he has money but he is one of few celebs that can live well and live peaceful, never gets involved with the media unless he's making sonething, he loves going to Laker games you will see him at the VIP line, he loves to live like other regular people. Very private person though because his celebrity status forces him to do that
@@7rays- I believe you are right. I am a Native New Yorker still living in New York. I have never been to Chicago except for a Layover several years ago where I never left the Airport. Union Station is not a Subway. I assume Union Station is like Grand CEntral Station in New York. It is a REgional Transit Hub. Is that correct?
@@HoldenNY22 It is. It’s the main station for Amtrak. That stairway goes down to the platforms, but the trains themselves only travel a very short distance underground before they emerge at grade. I am so glad that Andy Garcia played George Stone! He played the character so well! What a good looking man and a great Actor! Andy does a perfect Sean Connery.
You know, I never thought about The Untouchables being modelled after The Seven Samurai but on reflection the scene where Connery's character disses Garcia's character in order to gauge his reaction (during the recruiting sequence) is very much Seven Samurai. Very nice.
I knew I liked Andy Garcia! Played baseball. Translated his experiences into doing a hook slide to save the bouncing baby carriage - and toss a pistol to Ness. Good man!
I loved the untouchables when it came out. Thought it was the best action movie I've ever seen up until that point. I must have been 16-17 or something. Saw it at the local cinema. Saw it again and again on VHS a lot of times (I copied it from renting a moviebox and used our home VCR as recorder).
Aside from Al Pacino. I think Andy Garcia has the second-best when he's mad acting skills. And personally my favorite. Check out a movie called 8 million ways to die with Andy Garcia and Jeff Bridges in it.
Not a fan of De Palma, but Untouchables is great, and the subway scene is the best shootout ever photographed. "You got 'em?" "Yeah, I got 'em." "Take 'em." Rest in peace Ennio Morricone.
Anthony Chorlton You are, of course, correct. Sometimes when I compose a clever bon mot I don’t pause to reflect upon the geopolitical ramifications of my witty repartee.
Very good actor and did some really great movies. He was also great in Godfather III. Many do not like that one but I never understood the amount blowback that it got. People really disliked Sophia's performance but I thought it fit the character very well.
Best part of the movie is the train shootout! Full of suspense and action driven, the baby carriage going down. Shooting, finally Kevin commands handy to take down the mobster.😮
I still remember the scene where he did the running handoff to Costner and he stopped the baby stroller from going all the way down the stairs and drilled that guy in the mouth with a pistol
who does not love Mr. Andy Garcia....
I loved the scenes in "The Untouchables" between Andy Garcia and Sean Connery. The dialogue between the two is priceless.
"Oh I like him..."
I love Andy Garcia. Hugely underrated.
Google Google Damn right. Under the radar I guess.
Absolutely agree...
And HUGELY is still an underrated word here
He's not..He's just humble and a family guy..
Jimmy 'the saint'. 😎👍
Terrific actor and a terrific movie!
Love love Andy Garcia! What a great actor and great man too!
Andy Garcia what a brilliant actor 🎥
Lovely man , he was perfect in The Untouchables, the gun scene is an absolute classic
@Jim McCracken the train station scene is what she's referring to.

All of these interviews have such incredible historic value.

He's in a couple of films a year actually. He gets loads of work still.
RIP Sir Sean Connery.
I could listen to Andy Garcia all day !!! love him !!! and I agree with any other guy who claims that he's so underrated
Andy Garcia, great actor in a perfectly made movie (The Untouchables). Please, somebody get him a drink of water!
He's doing the al Pacino throat thing,
@@jorgegaytan3012 now i think about it he's always doing the pacino thing of needing water.

Untouchables is a Legend Movie. I love your work Andy Garcia.
Great story telling from the also great Andy Garcia.
Thank God he was George Stone. He was perfect especially in the subway scene.
The Movie was set in Chicago. I think you are thinking of the Chicago Train Station, but it was not a Subway.
No. He played Giusepe Petri. 😉
Union Station in Chicago.

So wonderful to get to act with someone you always looked up to.
Love his tribute to Sean at the AFI Lifetime Award
Andy seems to be an awesome guy very handsome his connery impression is spot on
one of my all time favorite actors....God, he was so goddamn good in "Internal Affairs".
Mr Garcia thank you for such a tribute for mr connery
love me some Andy Garcia
His performance in this film was incredibly good.
I am so glad that Andy Garcia played George Stone! He played the character so well! What a good looking man and a great Actor! Andy does a perfect Sean Connery.
One of the greatest all time classics...👌
I hope Eisen realizes what an awesome gig he has interviewing all of the greats!
I love Andy Garcia.......he's such a neat man!
Things to do in Denver When You're Dead, one of his best movies.
Jimmy Le Saint 🙏
when a man loves a woman, and the man from elysian fields with mick jagger
That's a very good impression of Connery!
Huh? It’s the worst I’ve heard😂
What an intense actor and s decent hombre 😊
Outstanding...I really enjoy the way Rich conducts his interviews...respectful and appreciative, but not fawning. Great job

Always loved Andy’s acting. Great story too
The Seven Samurai.

He was fantastic in Oceans
Love everything Mamut does.
He was great as Meg Ryan's husband where she played an alco.
Yes- The Moviewas "When a Man Loves a Woman."
Good to see ya again, bud.🙂
Andy Garcia was truly the only redeeming part of GF Part III. Great actor.
Andy Garcia is such a handsome man, Also if I didn't know that he is Hispanic. He does looks Italian

Brilliant!
He was the best actor in Godfather 3
Could not agree more , he was so beautiful too
Great 🎥.enjoyed Frame by Frame ...untouchables....some scenes you will like to see again and again ....specially last train station gun fight......
As I’m a Scot I LOVE that all these brilliant actors want to work with Big Tam (Sean’s real name is Thomas we call him Tam here)
Billy Drago was terrific at Nitti. He was the ultimate bad guys.
Few mention the score. Watch this film without the Ennio Morricone score and it goes down a couple notches...
I believe the late Ennio Morricone made an already excellent movie perfect with his soundtrack.
He does realise Sir Sean Connery is still with us?
Yeah but Connery can't play Golf anymore.
@Wise and Free not anymore
Great movie!
Great story 👍🏻

He is Cuban. Escaped Castro...grew up in Miami.
George Stone was my favorite character in that movie
I ain't gay but Andy is the best looking man to ever wear a suit back in the day.
why does Eisen feel the need to tower over his guest on top of his raised platform?
He ordered a douche desk.
Andy Garcia gets my nod for a fine actor, mostly because I still kinda hate his guts after Internal Affairs.
Got him?
Yeah...I got him.
Take him.
The Irishman with a Scottish accent
Anthony Chorlton “God Shave the Queen!”
Connery gets a pass, he also played a Lithuanian sub captain with a Scottish accent.

Andy was great in Ocean's 11.

It would have been great if the interviewer said "George Stone ? What's your real name ? What was it before you changed it ?"
Connery and Deniro were that movie
“I think he wanted you to have that Mr. Ness”
“ Nah…..he would’ve wanted a cop to have it. I’m going home.”

It's a great movie. Not a word of it is true. Completely inaccurate.
That’s why it’s a movie, not a history lesson
Kurosawa... Master...
Andy Garcia would truly have been miscast as Frank Nitti. Billy Drago was perfect for it.
Hoping for Godfather IV
What the hell is wrong with Garcias voice ? Sounds like he has a permanent frog in his throat everytime now.
Smoker.

Andy Garcia was set to be big time after the Untouchables, but he partied too much and blew his chance. A real shame.
