Kusatsu Onsen, one of the three best hot springs in Japan, is a hot spring resort rich in nature, located in a slightly secluded area of Gunma Prefecture. It has the largest natural gush of hot spring water in Japan! More than 32,000 liters of hot spring water gushes out every minute, or about 230,000 drums a day. All inns in Kusatsu, which have an abundance of hot spring water, allow you to enjoy the hot spring water free-flowing.
Kusatsu was ranked first in the 26th "100 Best Hot Springs in Japan" by Kanko Keizai Shimbun, and has achieved the feat of being ranked first for 10 consecutive years since the 17th award in 2003.
Kusatsu-Shiranesan, 2,160 meters above sea level, is the birthplace of this abundant hot spring water. Kusatsu, which has an abundance of hot spring water, is home to a variety of hot spring facilities, including "Nishi-no-Kawahara Open-air Bath" with its spectacular view and sense of openness, "Otaki-no-yu" where you can enjoy a combination bath with different temperatures, and "Gozano-yu" with the atmosphere of the old therapeutic hot spring culture.
