They definitely feel like the target audience here. I was a lot more impressed by the pixel 8 launch and execution of that, which made me CONSIDER actually upgrading from the pixel 2 XL (yes, insane I know.) Sure, I could still see myself upgrading to the pixel 9/XL (glad you brought the XL name back btw), but it almost has me just wanting to wait until the pixel 10 (or might I say, "X"? 😏 XL) Anyway, this whole presentation felt very "blah" and even rushed to the point where it didn't feel intimate enough with the audience, even the audience in person. A lot of information was just vomited out at once without any time for the audience to think about, reflect, process, or just respond at all. I'll say, that really made all of the "high points" that Google probably thought were a big deal, seem lackluster and boring by the way they were expressed and communicated to the audience. Of course all of this doesn't help when leaks are constant leading up to a Google event. Get this under control and things might be a lot more exciting the day of. These are some pretty passionate thoughts coming from me and I usually don't comment much, so I hope it's seen and actually taken for constructive criticism that could help in the next launch. I mean it's Pixel X for goodness sake... Please let it be done the best it's ever been.
Good job team Google for being the first phone manufacturer to have the big and small Pro models with the same hardware and software apart from screen size. This is what consumers have been asking for, for years. The phones are expensive though. But it is not just pixels pushing the price boundary though.

I switched from Gemini back to Assistant because my alarm clock can't perform Assistant Actions with Gemini when my alarm clock goes off. Also your home automation works just fine with Assistant. I really have no use cases for incorporating Gemini. If I want an AI, Google home's Knowledge Graph has become garbage, Gemini is really inferior, so I choose ChatGPT.

It is sort of liberating to not have a presentation about how fast a cpu is or how special the hardware is all the time. I like the Google way of focusing on "What can we do for you?". Software and services Looks great, I do worry however that some stuf will be removed in a near future. Google have an unfortunate history of creating great services and the just quit them. I really like their vison though.

So after 1.5 year, my pixel 7 went all black/dead. I tried all possible ways to start it. I tried contacting google customer care for help, they said you have to courier it and it will take approx 2-3 weeks even more. So I went to some local shop, he found problem in chip ya tensor G2 chip. Finally after a week I got my pixel 7 back. Thank you for creating such a wonderful processor, phone and after sales service. One of a kind. Google❤
Can we say "Hey Germini" to use the Gemini AI now.? (I prefer saying "Hey Google" to start the Germini AI instead)... Of all the features they have been talking about since, I feel that is the main reason why many people are yet to switch to Germini and it wasn't addressed. The voice command feature allows me use the AI when I can't touch my phone or my phone is out of my reach but I can speak to it through my Bluetooth headphone.
The "Add Me" feature is pretty cool. Interesting stuff overall but I won't use Gemini because of their AI art generator DEI filters. Get woke go broke.
If you're going to be having a live demo, why didn't you use the pixel phone? Secondly maybe things go badly in these live demos because there is hundreds of reporters using Wi-Fi and maybe you should have a dedicated Network? Thirdly if the live demo fails there needs to be a backup plan of showing when it did work how it looked.. yes not ideal but you can blame it on a bad internet connection and show them what it looked like when it worked well with a good internet connection
@google my Pixel 4 XL was the best phone I ever owned and the speakers/sound was incredible. I now own the Pixel 7 Pro and while I still love the Pixel line I have to say the sound quality of the speakers on this phone is garbage and painful to listen to. I'd recommend learning to root a phone if you care about privacy. It's dangerous doing it on a new phone since you might brick something new and expensive, but if you have a current old phone, rooting it would allow you to have something like a pixel phone that runs samsung ui, and other things you could tinker similar to how you would with windows os.

Trapped? No one will be trapped. The majority of consumers upgrade every 3 years to the newest device. A lot of 6/Pro/A users will upgrade this year because it's time. Personally, these phones look wayy better than the 8 series, and the satellite service is a must for hunters in the woods.

Apart from the design, the Pixel 9 series is not significantly better than the Pixel 8 series, which is why the new purchase and the associated price increase are not justified. You have to somehow hallucinate the alleged significant changes. With the Pixel 10, there is a chance that there will perhaps be a significant improvement because the manufacturer will be changed and the Tensor SoC will really receive a significant new development. The Pixel 9 series is once again just a very minor upgrade, that is completely overpriced.

Plus im preey sure that ina couple of months we will get the same AI that the 9 series has. Google always do that with their Features Drops. So relax and enjoy your day
Trapped? No one will be trapped. The majority of consumers upgrade every 3 years to the newest device. A lot of 6/Pro/A users will upgrade this year because it's time. Personally, these phones look wayy better than the 8 series, and the satellite service is a must for hunters in the woods.
@@OhImKiCkiN The majority of consumers which are teenagers and Young people, change their phones every year. That's why big brands like Apple, Samsung and Google, release a new phone every year, because people buy it. And personally I love my Pixel 8 Pro, plus all those "services" like the SOS signal , I'm pretty sure that it will come to other Pixels in a future "Feature Drop"
@@keyboard5494 I'm sure the 11 will be better than the 10. I'm also sure the 14 will be better than the 12. Of course each year is better than the last. If you think that way then youll always wait and never buy a phone. From the Pixel 7 to the 8 there was barely any change made. At least this year there were more significant changes.

Apart from the design, the Pixel 9 series is not significantly better than the Pixel 8 series, which is why the new purchase and the associated price increase are not justified. You have to somehow hallucinate the alleged significant changes. With the Pixel 10, there is a chance that there will perhaps be a significant improvement because the manufacturer will be changed and the Tensor SoC will really receive a significant new development. The Pixel 9 series is once again just a very minor upgrade, that is completely overpriced.
