Daniel Wu was amazing in "Into the Badlands". So inspiring for me. It was the first series where I saw an Asian American actor with a 3-dimensional character. Not just a martial artist with no lines or ended up getting killed the first few minutes by Jason Statham, Tom Cruise, or whoever was the main character that wasn't Asian😆

What a great speech by Will Yun Lee. When he dropped all these pioneer names (Scott Lee, Russell Wong, Rhee) people don't generally know, you know he was speaking from his heart. Early generation of Asian American male actors who didn't get derogatory roles were so few you can count with one hands. Dude is a pioneer himself and extremely underrated. Technically he was the first Asian Superhero in Marvel Universe----he played the major character in Elektra. For some reasons the older generation of asian male actors are much more charismatic, appealing and have stronger screen presence than the new generation. They just lacked the opportunities back then...
