Considering Simple Plan's Janick's #1 influence, that's not surprising.
"History" and "if I had one dollar" are co-written by Chuck (drumer of sp) and Pierre (lead singer of SP) and Janick said Simple Plan and Green Day are his biggest musical inspirations so I think that they indeed have taken a lot fr them and their music is so similar I looove that

I love this band, but they definitely need to develop their sound further. Basically every song on this EP is either a straight ripoff from either All time Low or Simple Plan.
to be honest most bands of this genre sound pretty close with just a few differences
I really only heard one song that sounds like Simple Plan. Since Simple Plan's turned into one of the worst bands on the planet right now, though, I'm taking it. Simple Plan have an interesting sound, yet they keep squandering their talents by writing such mediocre material.
The influences are definitely there though, with Simple Plan, Green Day, & All Time Low definitely being the biggest ones. Trust me though, they don't hold a candle to 5 Seconds of Summer when it comes to ripping off their inspirations. Those guys are so transparent, it's not even funny, it's so pathetic.
Scsigs Gaming I think it's fine the way they sound so what if they sound like all time low. The songs are sound really good and I can't wait for their new album.
me1648 The fact that 5 Seconds of Summer sounds like All Time Low is one of their worst aspects. Whenever I try to give their songs a listen, I ultimately end up thinking, "why am I listening to these guys? I could just listen to All Time Low. They've made these songs before, only better & first. That's why people hate sound-alike bands & 5 Seconds of Summer are one the most egregious examples in recent years because of their undeserved level of popularity.
It's just so annoying when you have bands in the same genre, but one tries to copy the others so heavily that they come off as posers because they're not doing anything new, or notable with it. They've made 2 albums & a shit ton of EPs in less than 4 years, yet I can only point to a small portion of songs they're recorded that I can actually call legitimately good, or different from their influences. That's not good. It's why I say they don't have their own unique sound outside of just ripping off other bands. They, honestly, need to try harder to separate themselves from that in the future.
