Trekking Poles definitely saved the knees a lot of bashing. They are a great asset. I won't hike without them. I hope the knees have healed on both of you. Thanks for sharing.
What wonderful memories you 4 created for each other, memories that will last a lifetime, well done all of you, and thank you very much for sharing the experiences of your fantastic trip 😀
I don't know why this didn't appear on my notifications. Better late than never. That campsite you had the night of the ladders was absolutely beautiful. I've really loved this series. Thanks for sharing.
This journey was so beautiful, thanks for sharing it with us. There were some hairy looking bits there especially with those ladders, wow! Congrats to you all, another trail smashed.
Hi Michelle, thanks so much for watching 😄 yes I have to admit, by the last day.. both of my knees had swollen up, from the combination of the heat and the elevation / descents.. it would be easier on the knees if you didn’t have to carry a full pack
@DrunkOnWanderlust ah, one of those your soul would love it, your bank balance not so much! Story of my life 🤣🤣 have you read the bill bryson book into the woods about him trekking the trail? Very good
😁👍 definatley saved the best till last kerry.. breathtaking, the infamous ladder section 😮 but waking up to mont blanc, the glaciers, ibex yep that's with an X not a K 🤣 and absolultey stunning views !!!. Well done All of you and this has been awesome to follow and watch... CWT 🏴 bring it on 😁👍
Ahh what an awesome adventure you lot have been on. Well done to each of you and it looked amazing. Its on my bucket list,, but so is every other trail 😆 🤣 Stay safe out there and keep up the good work x
Embarking on the Tour du Mont Blanc was a dream come true! 🏔 The journey might have been tough, but those mesmerizing views of the Alps and Mont Blanc made it all worth it. 😍💪 The Tour Du Mont Blanc camping locations were like scenes from a fairytale, truly unforgettable. ⛺🌄 And the mix of wild camping, campsites, and even a hotel stay added so much excitement to the adventure! 🏕🛌 Your trekking tales are an inspiration, and I'm already looking forward to more of your incredible hiking videos. 🎥🚶♂ Keep exploring and sharing those breathtaking experiences! Cheers to smashing challenges and discovering the beauty of the world! 🌍🥾🍻
Thanks. It brought back good memories. I last did the full Tour back in 1998, with a demi-tour Chamonix to Cormayeur (limited time) to whet my appetite in 1993.
Brilliant .loved it .smashed it .scenery was incredible. You must have had loads of these moments when you just stand still and take it all in. I love the looking back on where Ive been and plenty of them to be had. Epic .well done and always love the fun aspect of the vids.
Pretty heart stopping those ladders and was wondering whether anyone uses carabiners for safety especially with heavy packs. Well done for completing the trail !
My thoughts exactly…. I thought it seemed like carabiners would be a good shout, but hadn’t heard of anyone using them so didn’t think we needed to pack any
What an incredible and amazing trail! Those mountains... beautiful! Also, a very well video, and it was lovely to see you all make it over the finish line. It did look really tough going at times; well done, all of you. I'm sure this hiking adventure will stay with you all for a very long time, and good memories made. Great stuff Kerry and crew! Smashed it!
A friend of mine was an ultra marathon runner, training in the Swiss mountains arouns Geneva. She fell off a trail and fell 70m to her death, aged 30. It's not a joke, those mountains and part of me is horrified how the Swiss can just put some rickety old stairs up and disregard safery... and another part knows it's people's own risk. But life in CH is hyper-regulated so why not regulate hiking safety? It's almost inviting catastrophe. Thank God you made it out alive!
I agree, they could do with putting a line up where you can clip yourself on as you climb on that section, and pre warning people to take a harness and clips x I’m so sorry to hear about your friend I’m glad I have shown that section on the video so people know what to expect, I have also now seen there is a way you can bypass that bit which is helpful x
Hi .. what a feat to complete the trail. The scenery is awesome in that area, I dont think you will beat its location in Europe . All 4 of you did fantastically well.
Well done folks, now you can give your knees a rest and as you said coming down hurts the most. I was shouting at Danni at 20.25 get your bloody hands around the the rungs/rounds. If your feet had slid your hands would have slid too! And so to cape Wrath. Thanks for the great footage, stunning mountains.
That bit was horizontal ladders you can’t really tell on the filming, I was crawling before I stood up 😂 but tbh I just go into this stuff head first with no clue purely bc Dizzy wants to do it 🙈
Congratulations, have done it 3 times and always wonderful, although a bit harder I would recommend Chamonix to Zermatt the walkers haute route and The tour of the Vanoise, stunning scenery on both. Happy hiking.
Loved reliving...the hike through your video's....and meeting you on the trail..such fun❤ It was not for the faith hearted..and we all should be very proud of ourselves..for doing it🥳🥳
Looks like you had a good trip, and nobody poisoned themselves this time round😂 Cape Wrath will be much tougher with no opt outs for long periods. Good luck!
Another brilliant video Kerry. Thanks so much for capturing the beauty of this trail. I felt emotional watching this; those last 24 hours really were the cherry on the top of an epic journey. Don't know if you've heard of this one, but I highly recommend a route called the GR58 Tour of Queyras in the French Alps. It's a brilliant 10 day trek (of course you could do it quicker, or slower), that can also be extended by a couple of days into higher passes in Italy. It's not as well known, but in my opinion is a stunning route. Good luck on the Cape Wrath Trail; can't wait to follow your adventures there.
I don’t usually comment but I love your videos on TMB. So earnest and silly! The last pronunciation of Chamonix! 🌚 I was wondering if you could recommend how many litres of water to bring on those dry days you encountered? Whereabouts of UK are you all from? Scotland? I might be wrong but I hear some Irish too? Recommendation on next hike: Kumano Kodo in Japan. There are a few trails but do the Kohechi trail since Nakahechi will be too easy for you. No camping but you have to book ryokans / minshukus and enjoy the great hospitality of Japan.
Hello!! 👋 thanks so much for the lovely comment 😁🫶 so glad you enjoyed the videos x Yes we are from the UK, Devon is from Scotland, Charlotte is from the Lake District and myself and Danni are from Cambridgeshire Oooh now that sounds interesting 🙌 I’ve never been to Japan but have always wanted to go x thanks for the recommendation
I wondered where the sun had been hiding most of out summer and I love cheese, unfortunately it now sets off my gallstones so I have had to cut it out😪. I hate any fizzy drink to be honest but a bum tasting one if right off my list😝. I will never be able to look at a bath with a view in the same way again, nothing is going to beat that view but I prefer soap bubbles (yes I admit it) rather than cow saliva😵💫. Don't know how you managed to climb in that heat with that weight and the additional rock weight as well, amazing effort. Cow alert🤣, to be fair I would be bricking it too, so well deserved beers before bed! Loved the cage walk, amazing views. Brownie alert, what a beast (and view) that was but fair play, you need to replace those calories and jaw dropping views at 16:15, how on earth do you top that! That decent was brutal mind and the ladders the next day looked a challenge but also fun too, although Dani did not seem to be enjoying it. Amazing place to pitch you are not going to beat that for a pitch with a view, a trail with continual views and weather too. Looked a rocky trail on the last morning but I bet that food and drink at the end tasted soooo good! Great job, amazing adventure, and hard to beat as well, cheers Alan
Hi Alan! Sorry only just getting round to these it’s been quite manic my end recently! 🤯 omg you can’t have cheese?! That’s my worst nightmare lol I have it on everything … even curry x the cows were terrifying but weren’t bothered by us at all which was a relief… danni did have a mild panic attack x hope you and the Mrs are keeping ok, saw you did rose berry topping again … I’ll have a watch when I get time
Well i was looking at the GR20 as my first hike, but left it to long as the winter is just around the corner. So, how about you lot give that one a try :P it is the hardest hike in Europe, but has the best views from what i have read. I am sure Charlotte would love that one :)
Trekking Poles definitely saved the knees a lot of bashing. They are a great asset. I won't hike without them. I hope the knees have healed on both of you. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Michelle, thanks so much for watching 😄 yes I have to admit, by the last day.. both of my knees had swollen up, from the combination of the heat and the elevation / descents.. it would be easier on the knees if you didn’t have to carry a full pack

Wow, stunning scenery! That last camp was epic! Must have been brutal in that heat but you were all full of smiles! X
Thanks so much Steph 🤗🤗🤗
Well done all of you. I hadn't considered doing a trail abroad but I would love to do this one. Many thanks.
Go for it! It was absolutely amazing x thanks for watching!!
Thanks. It brought back good memories. I last did the full Tour back in 1998, with a demi-tour Chamonix to Cormayeur (limited time) to whet my appetite in 1993.
