I had never heard this "version" I love to hear the "Trio" sing it..... (Ivan Parker, Anthony Burger and ???) Maybe someone can finish these names because I can see his face but I'm drawing a blank on his name and I'm too tired right now to look it up. Anyways, love that high tenor here!!!!
Might oughtta look up The Kingsmen doing this song over the year. Johnny here is the original tenor for their recording, which established this song in 1974.
@@yepyepuhhuhuhhuh3999 I love the Kingsmen but only started listening to them in the late 90's. I was a "Gold City" fan prior to that.....wouldn't listen to anything else.
Oh boy, I enjoyed watching this, the old man Johnny Parrack still got it, love seeing father and son performing together.
Jay Parrack was the music director at hill crest baptist church in Anniston(?) Alabama. He sang at our wedding.
He and his family are absolutely precious! What an honor to have him sing at your wedding!
Johnny still got it
Can’t wait to have them at a Lake Gibson Church later this month.
