    I remember staying at the Geneva Motel in the early 60s with my parents and spending the day in the swimming pool.

    I saw a video that they found a piece of the Rainbow Bridge in Lake Lure. It was part of the red and orange section, and the red section had some of the little white painted paw prints on it. Someone else found a plaque. It's so sad the this happened to that beautiful Flowering Bridge and esp. since it took away all those sweet collars of loved one's dogs. Let's just pretend all those collars went on up to Heaven to go back on the precious dogs, at least we can hope that's what happened.
    Great video and the updates. We've seen so much of the destruction, it's nice to see that people are trying their best to get life back to normal the best they can!

    That storm may have wiped out almost everything. But it won’t wipe out the memories my family and I have of that beautiful area. My wife and I, our children and then with our grandchildren.

    I just looked their website up, Geneva Hotel, it was so, so nice there. That creek was narrow and way down and in the far back there and doesn't look big at all. It breaks my heart so much to see all of the devastation on these videos. I don't think I could handle it in person. I am praying for everyone affected by the evil hurricane Helene who took so much from all of these communities and families. They will be beautiful again. Don't give up. Thanks for the video tour. It is much appreciated. Those cars were crushed so badly, I pray there wasn't anyone in them. Have a beautiful, blessed day. 🙏

    Excellent video. My husband and I frequently grabbed our 2 dogs and headed to Morse Park to stroll around or hung out on the vast green lawn, from Spartanburg, about 50 miles south. Plus, would often hike up to the Rock. I have a year's pass. Soooo sad.

    Great update my friend. Wow the amount of sand. Really looks like a lot of progress compared to what it looked like. And the water is still pretty murky. It really is like. Disaster area but they will rebuild! The boats wow. Praying for speedy recovery. ❤️‍🩹

    If they are going to drain the lake what are they going to do with the debris that is on the bottom of it and how would it help the environment or would it help the environment

    Very sad, however the damage is actually minor. Back when super storm Sandy hit our entire East Coast from Northern Virginia all the way up to our border with Canada over 890 THOUSAND homes were lost and over 2 million people were suddenly homeless. But that was not the worst part of Sandy. The worst part was that the republicans in Congress made those 2 million homeless people wait for over 6 months before that would approve any FEMA help. This is merely the outcome when we take Risks. Building along coastline and along riverbanks and in river basins we are gambling and rolling the dice. which can roll snake eyes.

    • @greatestever8976

      It was absolutely by design, manmade. People were lured to the area, clouds were seeded, damns were released. (Geoengineering, watherwar101, manufactured events, Dane Wigington, HAARP, NexRad)

    • @rongreen8962
      @rongreen8962 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@greatestever8976 please understand that a warming ocean, caused by a couple hundred years of human activity, dropped so much rain on Appalachia that the rivers and streams couldn’t carry it. So yeah, in a way this was man-made, but not like you think.

    • @MrsRCope
      @MrsRCope 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@rongreen8962 Everything about your comment is untrue. It’s a proven fact that temperatures increasing 1-2 degrees over hundreds of years did not cause this. If anything, the mountains act as a giant funnel and with almost 2 foot of rain prior to the storm, then the wind & tornadoes that spun off of the hurricane, caused trees and roots to topple, loosening all the dirt and rocks with it , and it all dumped downstream in one horrible catastrophe. Were the clouds seeded with dry ice and silver iodide, potassium iodide, and injected from the ground lasers to redirect the storm (remember the sharp left it took and the straight lines that showed up on radar in a circular storm!) If you can have the fake science of climate change, I can certainly have mine, and we have governmental proof they do it. And more and more states are banning the process (see FL & TN). This storm was created and guided. Why do you think the government is ignoring those people? Denying rebuilding permits. Denying F.E.M.A. Claims. Their homeowners insurance refusing to pay out? Why? That was their plan all along.

      For sure! 10' per hr. There is a yt 'short' video I caught last nite. Filmed as it was rising & 4 hrs later. By a homeowner near river. Estimated 30' away. It was up to the house! Terrifying watching it!🥺
