    The MAX also has a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) built into the unit which helps with increasing efficiency

    Good point on vibration, Minn Kota needs test them better and QC, they used to be the best, hope they dont loose that sentiment from old loyal fans? I had an old 32 lb, beat it for years, never failed, I gave it to poor guy, was paddling, he loved it, he prob atill has it lol

    I have an Intex 40 pound trolling motor with a 36 inch shaft and there’s no vibration at any speed

    So i just bought a Profishiency Micro Bumblebee 5.6ft medium light combo and so far after two trips I love this spinning combo. Because its an IM7, 5.6ft rod it feels like a light, not medium rod. I can still feel pan fish fights really well but I can land much larger fish like gar, catfish and bass. The reel isn’t amazing but it not bad at all. For $40 its a lot better than the Abu Garcia equivalents.

      I’ve never tried those rods before but I have heard some good things. Yea $40 isn’t bad for that and being able to use it for many different types of fish is always a good thing. I’ve never had a medium light, or light rod but maybe in the future.

      @@bluecollaroutdoors5556 I like fishing for larger fresh water fish but sometimes they don’t want to cooperate. So having a light to ultra light setup is key in not being skunked and still having a blast.

    How long does a single battery charge last?

  • @goldseekersadventures9380

    I made an extension for my Minnkota for less than 10 bucks, Easy pop on, and pop off. TH-cam would allow somebody to post a picture of their build.

    Would you say this rolling motor would be simple enough to install and uninstall often? I want to use one on the job boats I can rent instead of hauling the boat sometimes

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes super easy to install each trip, moving a battery around with it is the hardest part if you are going to be using a full size battery.

    How long does that 12v battery last on a single charge? I'm curious how power-hungry the motor is.

    • @Ibian666
      @Ibian666 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can calculate that. The motor has whatever max wattage, your battery has whatever capacity, divvy it up.

    • @backcountryengineer6516
      @backcountryengineer6516 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ibian666 I know how to divvy it up, but unfortunately I don't know the wattage or current draw on this motor, just that it runs on a 12v battery. From what I've heard it seems that trolling motors have about a 2 hour run time with a 100 amp-hour battery, meaning a current draw of 50 amps. But I was just curious about this motor specifically.

      I have a 55lb bow mount. With a good size24 battery, I'm good for a full day of fishing. I think if you did multi day trips you'd need to charge it. It all depends on how fast you run it.

    Do these motors brand new, from factory have a sheer pin?

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Dale, they do come with a shear pin. I did a conversion on mine changing the lock nut that holds on the prop with a kit that has a wing nut for easy shear pin changes out on the water. Switched mine after finding out the hard way.

      It is a transom to bow mount conversion. You can flip the head of the unit around based on where you want to run the motor.
