FIRST DAY | Abellio Transport UK London Bus Operating 306: Observations & Journey

- Hello Everyone, today's video shows the change of the 306 from Metroline to Abellio. The 306 was operated by ML from Holloway [HT] Garage; as well previously from Brentford [AH] Garage. Now, it's at Abellio using Wright Electroliners from Battersea [QB] Garage with a nice, suitable allocation. I managed to film a route visual which will be coming in a few days.
The day was nice because I met quite a lot of bus enthusiasts; (I didn't want to tag anyone because I'm not sure if they are comfortable being mentioned). Many of them were either at Hammersmith Bus Station or filming FRV's lol. The day consisted of nice drivers who waved at me. I really wanted to get a 24 plate EV, but then I couldn't because I missed it by 2 minutes from Acton Vale - which was very annoying ofc. The exterior parts of the 24 plates, compared to the 73 plates looked different but Abellio decided to rinse their 24 plates onto C3. I also decided to fit in a mini-journey which I wish I did at Sands End because there were was road work traffic as well as people talking loudly :(

Nice Video! I kinda like the change, but I don't like how the allocated garage is in Battersea, they should have kept it in a closer garage or something.
Thank You Very Much! Same, I think this is a good change, but the garage isn't that far from its Fulham terminus, it's just a drive down the River Thames - I believe.

Great Observations JTB👍I hope TUK operate the route well.What do you think of the new front because I think it looks terrible on the DD Electroliner but the SD kites look much better

Thank You Very Much! I agree, I do hope that TUK operate this route very well. I have nothing against the "73" plate front, I just think that both the front of the 24 plates and back of both the "73" & "24" plates need improving!
I do think that the DD Kites are better imo, maybe because I haven't been on a SD Kite myself yet. I might just wait for them to turn up on the E6 next month.

I mean they look alright, I think that they need to pattern up the back, because that looks werid...

I do like the LV73 exterior's, but not the 24 plate ones...
any bus apart from rts or old routemasters are inferior. Boris Bus is best in current generation
