I had the pleasure of seeing Damian play Rehearsals for departure in its entirety years ago and assumed I wouldnt ever again. This is a great surprise and I like the small changes he made to Ohio.

Like very few other tunes, this one always takes me out of what I’m in and puts me standing on a sidewalk, waving at taxis. Damien Jurado has been my favorite musician for 20 years because he tells a story perfectly. Ohio is the apex of this genre of lyrical storytelling.
