    Some of these plays are literally so beautiful they make me cry....between all the routine fly and ground balls that can make even professional baseball tedious sometimes, its plays like these that remind us that most of these guys are incredibly talented and not your average baseball players...

    • @cedjazz

      Either way, left or right, that may be the greatest play ever in baseball! If it were in the World Series it would be legendary!!... so let me get this straight,,, a right handed pitcher takes a 100 mph comeback to his throwing arm, but he picks up the ball and throws the runner out with his left hand, after which he must leave the game. That’s a total package of athleticism, high cognitive function, and improvisation,,, all in about 4 seconds.
      That is LEGENDARY!!

    This is just a personal observation. I know what the rules are. I think they should change the rule that you have to stay in the field of play when you catch the ball. if you catch the ball bu then fall out of the field of play, the batter should be safe. By staying in the field of play, I mean that your feet have to stay in the field of play. Just a suggestion. I know they won't do it.

  • @PInk77W1

    2:09 shouldn’t that be a home run since he left the yard while making the catch? I have seen an old highlight where the same thing happened and they called it a dinger. I don’t know if a rule was changed or what, can someone enlighten me

    • @陳力瑋-h8x
      @陳力瑋-h8x 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the American Professional Rules stated that a wilder must catch at least one foot or feet within or above the boundary, including the edge of the fence. Unless it falls into the rest area or the dead ball area after the catch, this is the catch.
      Indian outfielder Jackson (Austin Jackson) confiscated a possible home run by Red Sox Hanley Ramirez and overturned the wall The challenge was raised immediately, and the replay screen confirmed that Jackson first received the ball before falling out of the wall, so it was a successful catch.

    Why is Bour always thrown out with a good defensive play

    • @arinerm1331
      @arinerm1331 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because he's slow, so an infield hit for any other player looks like an amazing defensive play when Bour is thrown out at first. In all truth, a high-school infielder could get Bour at first if the ball doesn't get out of the infield.

    I've seen the play at 2:03 a few times and I'm surprised that the Red Sox bullpen didn't start celebrating or signaling to the umps that he dropped the ball and to call it a homerun. I know he actually made the catch, but why not give it a shot to try to steal a run?

    • @maodedel7038
      @maodedel7038 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @stonecoldku4161
      @stonecoldku4161 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or they just didn't think of it. As much as I would like to think that they wouldn't try to take away the catch there have been a lot of times where an ump makes a bad call or someone is tagged out but isn't called or close calls at the plate that the ump calls wrong that the player that benefited doesn't say anything. These are competitive people and they will take any advantage that they can get.

    • @makyahkreis965
      @makyahkreis965 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you wanted bruised and broken hands/fingers from how hard the ball is hit and thrown than yeah, cricket is so different

    • @wombatwal20
      @wombatwal20 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. Ball harder. More skill in the catch. in cricket. Only person on field with gloves is keeper/catcher. Ball comes through to him at up to 90/95mph. Others ??? whatever speed the ball comes off the bat. And some of those bare hand catches are sometimes only about 6 ft from the bat. Has a baseball game ever been played ( in competitions ) without mitts ?
