Aruba - Walking from Tamarijn hotel to Eagle Beach

- A long midday walk from Divi's Tamarijn Hotel (Druif Beach) to Eagle Beach. This video was made during the Corona Virus / Covid19 lockdown and also shows the empty hotels and relatively quiet beaches. It also covers the beautiful Divi Beach and Manchebo Beach during this long walk. At the last part of the video you can also see world popular Fofoti Trees which are depicted on many travel websites and social media. This video has no talking so you may enjoy the natural environment sounds. Aruba is a very windy island, so my excuses for some of the high wind noises caused during this walk.

I used to make this very walk when we used to go to Aruba. Nice to know I can take it virtually anytime I want until I can get there again. While watching, I can practically feel the water lap against my feet. This video is my new favorite mini-vacation.

What a beautiful island!! How nice is to hear the sound from that amazing sea and how lucky the local people are sunbathing there. We had the tickets to go there next month but, because of the virus we had to postpone our journey. If God wills, we are going to the happy island next year in July. We´ll cross our fingers!!

You'll love it. If you're a coffee drinker there are some great Dutch coffees you can get at Superfood, but there's also Smit & Dorlas as well as Taste of Belgium near the hotels. I think Aruba is ranked highest in the Caribbean for best beach sand quality if I'm not mistaken.

Yes & No - It's nice, but way too many here are out of job right now :-( The animals are though, we have seen more turtle sightings, stingrays, all sorts of fish etc just to name a few.

Thank you for filming this stroll. I normally stay on Eagle Beach every July but my flights got cancelled this year due to Covid. So watching a video like this is the next best thing until I can get down there again.

I walked all of this as well, stayed at the divi golf place. This side compared to Palm beach is much more calm. Really enjoyed it. I plan on going back, this time I want to go to baby beach.
Yes the Eagle Beach is calmer than Palm Beach and I personally love it! Baby Beach is certainly a nice visit but be prepared for the crowds - alternatively check out the next door Rodgers Beach. I also have a couple of walk videos of them in case you are interested.

We used to go here just over10 years ago for less than 800 each all in tax in Canadian with flights. Now it’s over $10k.
I understand but it's gotten expensive just about everywhere.

También hay hora recomendada para el snorkeling?
Bienvenidos Juio, si asi es, el canal esta creciendo poco a poco gracias a Dios. No hay mucha diferencia con el viento aunque a veces muy temprano suele ser menos fuerte. Para mi la playa se difruta mas en las mañanas. Es mejor para las fotos, para snorkeling etc. Sinembargo el atardecer y bajada del sol queda como un momento espectacular del dia.
Interesting comment about the wind. I was there last May and loved the place, but the wind was surprisingly harsh. Is it like that year round?
Hello Anthony, yes it's windy most of the year. Exceptions are when we have rain or a storm passing nearby but usually we have a 15 to 20 knots wind.

What setting did you use on your gopro? i have a 9 and I cant get my videos this good.
Most of the time just the regular setting. I use a GoPro7 Black.

Hello Tammy, this was in late April. The weather here is about 28-31 Celsius year round and with little rain.
How many kilometers is the walk from Divi Aruba to Eagle Beach? An where can you see the sunset the best?
Hello Anuschka, this particular walk was 3.5km. But Divi to Eagle Beach should be more like 2.5km or less depending on where you start etc. I prefer to see the Sunset at the Eagle Beach near the MVC hotel or at the Tamarijn bar overlooking the Divi Beach. Some would also say the Manchebo beach with it's beach side restaurants.

Yes, but chances for rain is also possible in October. It might be less warm than right now.

I’m not familiar with the villa names or numbers. You would have to check with the resorts.
Wasn't able to go this year due to Pandemic, not sure when it will be safe to go back for our yearly vacation :(

Chuck U Farley It seems more & more possible for August. Things are getting better here compared to late March/early April. Officialy (for now) no commercial flights till 31 May.
Aruba is planning to open soon. On or after June 15th.
This is old. The beach is now washed away from a rare storm.
It's not all gone. Actually most of it is doing very good the last I saw.

what happened to the beach??? last time I was in Aruba was 2008 and I do not remember all those rocks
Hello Bill, I'm not sure which one exactly (the video is very long) but at certain areas of the hotels they have put rocks to avoid the ocean reclaiming land (not sure if that's the way to say it). It's also a protection whenever there is a a storm nearby and higher waves are hitting the shores/beaches.
