I remember there were no gates and you could just walk in to look around me and my mates used to get shit scared going in the basement lol. there were tunnels next to the hall with go underground and you come out through a floor somewhere. now the whole building is in a terrible state with massive holes in the floor, they have also boarded it up and put fencing around it...memories lol
Looks awesome, but I hear a lot of scary stories about it. Did you get the feeling it was haunted? What is the state of it now? Are the rottweilers and guards still there, along with the fencing? Such a shame if English Heritage don't take it on. Terrific video with super photos. Thanks for uploading.
great video BUT I WISH THAT YOU WOULD HAVE GIVEN MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE ACTUAL NAMES AND SOME IDEA OF THE LOCATIONS OF THE ABANDONED BUILDINGS / PLACES YOU EXPLORE, so when these wonderful abandoned buildings get bulldozered down, old cars buses trains etc get scrapped and disappear at some point in the future your videos and pictures on here will act as a reference and HISTORY record to what the building, old trains cars etc used to look like, its location, what the building, vehicle was for use etc is all recorded for our future generations to remember !! THESE ABANDONED PLACES VEHICLES ETC ARE OUR HISTORY THEY ARE DISAPEARING QUICKY YOUR PICTURES AND VIDEOS ON HERE ARE ALL THAT OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS HAVE TO REMEMBER THESE ONCE GREAT BUILDINGS AND VEHICLES ETC. ......... My husband had worked at this hospital back in 1999 when the hospital used to have a stable yard in part of its grounds,, where he worked as a horse riding instructor giving donkey and horse riding lessons to some of the hospital patients as part of their course of therapy treatment... sadly all the hospital buildings in this video are now gone -- pulled down to make way for a new housing estate..... thank you for this video of what used to be st margerts hospital great barr Birmingham, I can tell you and of how it used to look before everything got pulled down. My husband tells me that Scott hall ( Great barr hall ) was a 17th century gothic style house that stood in part of the grounds of what used to be st margerts hospital . The scott hall house was supposed to have been haunted by the ghost of a white lady --- the ghost was meant to have been actually caught on film some time back in 2002 ?..... I wonder if the scott hall is still there or if that has been pulled down too to make way for the new houses that was built on the old hospital grounds ? its been over 20 years since my husband used to live in Birmingham.
Great pictures/films. Thanks for uploading.
I live near it, and visit it a lot. But it has never seemed spooky to me.
