I just thought Dazai calling his abvse to Akutagawa "training" might be giving us something from his life before Mafia. Mori isn't the physical abuse kind of person and I don't thing he would have the courage to abvse Dazai that way in the span of 1 year they spent together after meeting, and after Dazai joined the Mafia he had more power as he became the Demon Prodigy so Mori obviously wouldn't bc of fear in that situation. So maybe his training ways came from his family environment, given Dazai wasn't really weirded out or scared being in an environment like Mafia when he failed that attempt but had a lot of knowledge and was already used to killing, using guns and even t0rturing before joining the Mafia for he is really professional in all topics. Did his family!(?) teach him these? And the fact he doesn't even think about his parents in YEARS even tho they're alive. I want to know his backstory so bad.
