  • #Kanazawa is a unique city in #Japan. It was spared from bombing campaigns during WWII, and as a result, much of the historic buildings and tea houses still remain intact as they did centuries ago. In this #vlog, we'll explore #Kanazawa's historic area and #Kanazawa castle. Such an amazing city that surprised me!
Thanks for watching! Cheers, Nick :)

OMG my family and I are staying at the Guesthouse Stella in March - glad to hear you liked it. Thank you for the vlog - I particularly appreciate hearing you interact with the locals with a few basic phrases, it helps hearing the language in context, in a way I can follow along.

Watching this now as I will be going to Kanazawa next month. I’m already excited. Kenroku-en is supposed to be one of the three best gardens in Japan, the other two are not open to the public, as I understand (but I may be mistaken). Thanks for showing us around.

How'd I wish I could bear to travel during cold weather so that I could see Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden covered with snow, but I hate cold weather. 😊 The reason I am not traveling during the winter season in Japan. You are tough to get beautiful footage like this video on a snow day . Big thumbs up !

Extremely beautiful tour of Kanazawa‘s historical places. Big thank you for the great effort you put in all the videos that you shared with us here. Really enjoyed watching.
I like watching several times without skipping the ads, of course . I know traveling around Japan is so expensive.
I sure will follow your travels to other countries . Have a fantastic adventure !
    Are you in Thailand now?

Wow, I started watching this and thought this must have been during the peak pandemic/when Japan was closed off! I’m glad to see it’s quieter and empty in the mornings on weekdays. Will be staying right near the Chaya district and will be easily able to explore in the mornings before crowds :’) Thanks for this video! Great content

Interestingly, you were walking past a coffee vending machine as you were saying that you were looking for a coffee to drink. But ok, maybe you were looking for a cafe? I live in Kanazawa so it was fun to watch this and spot where you were walking. I was saying turn left etc. ha ha since you would maybe miss the best parts of Higashi chaya. I will have to check out your part 1.

@@travelfareatlocal Thanks for the update. I must say that I sometimes find it frustrating not knowing when video's are shot, as some people can take a long time to edit and that's not always easy or convenient when you're on the move travelling.

Thanks, great video! Perfect, as I'm planning a trip to Kanazawa in May. Main reasons are that it's off the beaten track and I have an interest in 3:13 Kutani-yaki porcelain.
