    You need a buffer tank between the pump and the manifold. To keep a more stable vacuum and to not wreck the pump when you accidentally let milk or washing water get past the jar. Also to keep a stable vacuum, and for proper function, use both sides of the pulsator, you can use one for each cup :)

      PTI93, yes it has be totally revamped since this video was put out. I use a 1 gallon container for collection and another 1 gallon for an over flow. I guess it's time to put out another video with new setup. So you must have had luck with 2 pulsating lines? Anyway thanks for comment and stay safe.

    This is really neat seeing the milking process put together. That goat was cute looking through the window. Scarlet is so sweet. Happy Thanksgiving. FW

    I need to have my husband watch this video for ideas for my milking setup. We have 2 of my does bred I believe which has us expecting in March/April. Which means in January/February we need to get everything ready. So exciting to be expecting again 💖

    This is so clever! I’ll be pitching this project to my girlfriend and seeing if she wants me to replicate it. She’s got 4 Nigerian dwarfs expecting.

    Would it be possible to post the parts list for the manifold, threaded fitting and tubing of the manifold? It would be ever so helpful, great video!

      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, let me get a list together and I will post it in the description in the next couple of days. Thanks for watching and commenting and have a great week!

      Parts List for Manifold:
      1 - 1' section of 3/4" PVC cut in half
      3 - 3/4" PVC tees
      5 - 3/4" male glue to 1/2" threaded female adaptors
      3 - 1/2" male threaded x 1/4" Female threaded reducers
      1 - 1/4" x 3" brass nipple ( to thread in to reducer and slip in bottom of pulsator )
      1 - 3" section of 1/2" tubing to slide over bottom of regulator and a barbed fitting
      2 - 1/2" hose adaptors to connect to inlet and outlet of manifold ( this size may vary depending on the type of setup you use to vacuum pump and milking lines)
      1 of each - pressure regulator, pressure gauge, and pulsator set for goats

    Seem like a reasonable small setup. I would have gone with the same size line you have from your cup to you manifold. Between the pump and the manifold even if you have to step it up at the pump . Just to avoid pipe line restrictions and friction loses. Admittedly not a big issue on a setup your sizes. Also adding and interceptor between the manifold and pump would extend the life of your pump.

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good advise. I had thought about the interceptor and will use one if I decide to go with a double setup. Our herd is so small including the size of goats, it's pretty easy to handle right now.. At some point though I may take you up on your advise and reduce line size. When building I just used the size the equipment that it come with. Thanks again for some sound advise!

    Do you have a parts list ? What did you use to connect the regulator to the manifold?

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a piece of clear tubing that slips over regulator and a threaded fitting that fits the clear tubing on the manifold.

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I''ll get a parts list together for you. Getting ready to disbud then have a new goat coming today. Have to get stalls ready.

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Been crazy busy. Also something I thought of is some of parts will depend on what type of inflations, regulator and such you buy. I can give you a list of things I used but it may change if you buy different items. Let me know

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a Viot Vacuum pump: Twin piston oilless pump, 5.5CFM 3/4 HP 110VAC. I could have went with a smaller one but at some point I may hook up a couple milk lines to it and wanted to be ready. Thanks for watching.
