Great vlog. I love Ms. Tree. Thank you so much for pointing her out to me. I found 3 of the 6 books, but the owner of my comic shop was quite positive about the reprinting of the 3 other books. I couldn’t wait until I got all 6 books, so I already started reading. I'm also a huge Jonathan Kellerman fan and I can recommend the 3 graphic novels that were made of 3 of his Alex Delaware books. They were created by Ande Parks and Michael Gaydos. Have fun reading. Greetings, Belgian Ellen.
Thanks for this, Jess! I finally have all the volumes and will get started on them soon. I read a bit of One Mean Mother back when it was first released by Titan, but I never finished. However, I love what I did read, and am glad I now have the opportunity to read them in chronological order.
Love Ms Tree so much and Fallen Tree is on its way to complete the set. Would strongly recommend reading these. Collected a lot of these in singles in the 80s. Have to say I thought they were a bit all over the place when I was reading the collections recently!! Glad it’s not just my age. Thanks for the video.
I read the DC issues when they first came out and enjoyed them then (I was reading all the DC quarterlies at the time) and recent I read the Max Allan Collins ‘Nolan’ crime novels series (this one follows an actual criminal rather than a PI) and really enjoyed them, so I think I should pick these up.
@OmnidogsVault Your enthusiasm and joy for comics really is infectious and endearing. You were the one who recommended Absolute Green Arrow/Green Lantern to me on a livestream and it’s become one of my favorite comic runs! Always excited to hear your recommendations.
My experience with Ms. Tree goes back to 1984 with the Aarvark-Vanaheim reprint of I for an Eye & Death Do Us Part as a single volume which I always assumed were the first stories. Seems I'll have to get The Cold Dish now. Is the story Bogie's Ghost reprinted in of these? Also, did you like John Tiffany?
I was not able to find the story Bogie's Ghost in any reference. The comic looks like it was part of a line of books Bogie's Mystery in the early days but you have me stumped! I have John Tiffany but haven't read it yet! Will try to put it on top of the TBR pile!
I have this series digitally. I really need to read it! You have nudged me in the right direction.

Hi Belgian Ellen! Thanks for the book suggestions! One Mean Mother seems to be going lightly OOP but I'll check with Titan Comics on that!
I read this back in the day, too. Can't believe it's been 40 years! 😬 You've inspired me to start buying these collections, though. Great video.
Thanks Dana! I'm glad you dig these too!

Really happy you want to read them all and that my reading order has helped!
Thanks for this, Jess. A few months back I got One Mean Mother and didn’t realize it’s not the starting point.
glad to be of help!

Thanks, Jess! Another recommendation right up my street. I'm definitely adding this to the reading list. Peace and love from the UK.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Peace and Love!!
@OmnidogsVault will let you know in 5 years or so, judging by the size of my current backlog. Ha.
