Dude you're right about the durability of the curved drive shafts - I love them for ease of use on your back, but they do give trouble over time, it's a pity. If you have any tips on keeping the curved shafts in good order, that'd make an interesting video. Nice one Fill :)
Yes. Put a lot of grease shafts and gear head a good multi propose grease is good it doesn't have to be special. Or you can buy the high price from stihl for theirs.
Hello, Very helpful thank you, a question I have not found an answer for, I have a 135 string weed wacker ? a straight one piece connection between the sting head and battery powered motor, I wanted to find out what type of connection joins the two parts, and info would be appreciated thanks
just got a $155 bill for this at mower repair shop. I needed whole new shaft and knowing stihl this would of cost fair bit but I want to do more myself as a contractor as I feel getting ripped off.
Hi thanks for the video. I gave seen a few vids on this and it appears that the premature failure can occur from a lack of grease around the shaft at the plastic lock cap from heat from friction. Even the newly bought Stihl complete shafts seem to lack enough grease from factory. Check it out, you may want to grease all. Thanks, good work. 🙏
Hi I have kombi the rotary blade attachment the shaft is not locked in place,it moves back and forth when I tip up and down how can I fix it, thanks peter
I like the step by step procedures. Well understood! Thanks!
You made that look so easy. Love these kinds of videos, too. No match for edging but, ok. Lol
This is the video I’ve been looking for. Thanks for making this video.

I wonder if it is a good idea to grease the drive shaft in the tube?

We can only get a bent shaft edger in Germany. A pity. Well, maybe I could change it into a straight one....
