Oh excellent! Glad you're here! I do have a question... What's up with the locked door I couldn't open, even with a bomb? The one with the two crossed swords on top?
@@MiniMercyMicroChip it's called the "boss challenge room" and only appears on the second part of each floor chapter (example: basement 1 and basement 2, mines 1 and mines 2, and appears if you have full health upon entering the floor, to enter you need to have only one heart or less of health total, counting all kinds of hearts, there is an item for you to grab instead of chests, but instead of normal enemies you will have to face two bosses one after another right after grabbing the item, the kind of item it gives is the same family of items you get after defeating a boss, which usually give stats or health upgrades.
Damn first time playing and you get dunce hat as a first item 💀 So nice to see more people starting to play Isaac. I played the flash version more than 10 years ago when my then boyfriend (now husband) introduced me to the game. Never looked back, it's one of my favorites
I wonder if the Dunce hat combines well with other items, I still don't want to believe it's useless... right? :P Oh, I'm glad you're here! It's not a bad game at all, I can see why the people who made it, and the people who play it, still love it very much!
@@MiniMercyMicroChip It is good with an item called eye of the occult which pulls the tears to the center essentially giving you double-straight firing tears
@@calebmills6051 That sounds very useful, actually! Maybe if I hadn't died, the game would've let me have it later in the run. Unless... Do you think I have to unlock it first?
To answer your question abt using bombs in combat, I personally would not do it except maybe against a boss if my DMG is very low. But generally you use them for utility.
@@calebmills6051 All advice is good, don't worry. I'm focused on finishing Stardew right now, but Binding of Isaac is in the waiting list for a legit full playthrough (If that's possible for an arcade-like game). Plus! In my free time, I've been playing this with my brothers :D Once I play it again on my channel, I hope I had gained a bit more skill.
@@MiniMercyMicroChip Yeah it's definitely possible. Maybe not in the same way that playthroughs work for other games but unlocking new things and doing runs is its own progression. Part of what makes this game so good is that it has infinite replayability since every run is different.
I always love watching people play isaac for the first time
me too lmao
I also love to see that you are a minmaxer at heart, you raging over not getting full value out of the blood bank was so funny and relatable lol
XD really? I'm just glad I'm not the only one!
Your innocence and wholesomeness while playing this game has put a smile on my face, and you should keep up with what you're doing.
Isaac expert here, This is one of my favorite games, I am excited to see this journey play out! ask anything you need.

Ahh that makes sense. Thank you!
@@MiniMercyMicroChip No problem, also didn't realize this was 4 months old so the advice might not be needed at this point.

Pay no attention to people screaming at you because you didn't pick up that one thing you didn't
Okay, noted!
I also got the binding of isaac repentance on ps4 and the tile still says afterbirth or the one before afterbirth but in game it says repentance
That's true! It's a little confusing, isn't it?
@MiniMercyMicroChip if you really start enjoying this game you could also try enter the gungen
@@teddyjames2317 Is it similar?
@MiniMercyMicroChip as for it being a top down shooter and random yes
