Both of these bands are my all time favorite. When I was younger I definitely leaned a little more to TBS, and it got me through adolesence, but now that I'm older I lean towards BN... I think BN has a more mature sound if you will, and TBS is more filled with teenage angst imo. I love them both, Deja Entendu and Tell All Your Friends are the my shit. I'm glad I saw this, thanks.
2002 was the year the best music changed from the radio to bamboozle/warped caliber alternative/punk rock and these were the two bands that started it all
i don't understand how jesse could play this live, guess he got over it. for those who don't know what i'm talking about. this is song is a response to Brand New's song "Seventy Times Seven". put two and two together.
Taking back Sunday's self titled 5 song ep from i think like 99 has both of them in it, jesses lacey was the original bassist of taking back sunday, before adam, will noon and shaun cooper joined the band. you could probably find it online somewhere to download
I love both bands. But brand new is without a doubt my favorite. Even though the album your favorite weapon was the best thing ive ever heard in my life. i still like the new stuff. who can complain
@sk8ergrlsky Seventy Times Seven is a song by Brand New off of the album "Your Favorite Weapon" which is the song that this song corresponds to. This song was written AFTER Seventy Times Seven as a direct response to it. If you read/listen to the lyrics and read up on it, you'll understand a bit more. I'll never know which one I like more. Also, the bridges in each of the two songs contain the exact same lyrics.
the bands had nothing against eachother, the songs were just written by john nolan from tbs and jesse lacey from brand new. It was about some fight they had a while ago.
no the song this is a response to seventy time seven in that song jesse talks about how his best freind slept with his girl the song no i in team is his friend talking about how it was an accident
you're right, if this is 2002 then it must be nolan on stage. but, regardless, the song was written about them falling out, so there is no way this was before they fell out. that would be impossible. hence, friends!
no, it wasn't before. "seventy times 7" was written about them falling out, and "there's no 'i' in team" was written as a reply to "seventy times 7"... they are performing "there's no 'i' team" here, evidently they're getting along... besides, it was john nolan jesse fell out with, not adam lazzara. john nolan isn't even on stage here, he no longer performs with TBS. so there =P
@sk8ergrlsky well not only was "i in team" written in response to seventy times 7, but the bridges contain the same lyrics (is that what you call tact, your as subtle...etc)
sad to see so many offend comments to TBS, they changed my life, they understand my life like no one else, I think Brand New changed hard core history too but Geez is hard to say who is better, but I think I would say TBS even they changed they had some of best lyrics of all rock n roll history
i'm talking about the boy who blocked is own shot from brand new its a song were he clearly is apoligizing himself and trying to make it better again a lyric is 'If it makes you less sad, will start talking again' Its a completly different song than this one
Absolutely, if you only been on their live here in Manila Philippines, you'll see how fucking amazing his vocal. I mean, the recorded MP3 voice and his live are smooth, during his live performance it was like you're listening to your I pod
What does he mean by this is "Seventy Times 7" or "There's no I in team" depending on what record you bought first? I understand the feud between them but what does he mean..?
oh my god! i love when jesse starts pointing back and forth between him and john when he sings "If we go down we go down together best friends means, well best friends means." my god. that shud not make me smile so much. :D
okay, out of evveryone here, your probably my favorite lol. even though it was john not adam, your the closest haha where has everyone heard it ws jesses sister?
"This song is called Seventy Times Seven, and/or No I In Team depending on which record you bought first." So this was supposed to be called 70x7 but Jesse stole the name??
Pretty sure it's not him but, its very distorted and messy that breakdown so it sounds like it is, that's probably the reason they made it like that, after all this song is aimed at him.
BN is way better, the old TBS was really good also, but tbs turned into pussies while BN stayed awesome. It's just amazing to see these two playing together, especially Jesse and John
i like them both as well, but fed owns on Jesse, hands down. he was just as good as john, but I do miss the the john days. well crap, i miss the Fred days now to.
John Nolan (from TBS) slept with his best friend Jesse Lacey's (from brand new) girlfriend. Jesse writes a song called 70x7 which calls out John and says what a hypocrite and ahole he is since he was his best friend at the time. TBS wrote There's No I In Team as a response to that song. 70x7 and No I In Team are two different songs but share a few of the same lyrics (Is this what you call tact? I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back.) They have since made up. End of story.
One of the members I think Shawn had a different account of what happened. He said John and Jesse liked the same girl, and John got with her first, and jesse was upset about it. She wasn’t Jesse’s girlfriend
your way off. jesse of brand new's girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend, john nolan formerly of taking back sunday, THUS making 70X7 and theres no i in team.
nooooo...... jesse and john = best friends. jesse girl cheats on him with john. = 70 times 7 Adam and john write in response. = no i in team. adam fools with johns sister michelle. john and shaun leave tbs. start straylight run with michelle and will the drummer from freds(who replaced john in tbs)old band breaking pangea. no one hates anyone. when they tour near each other they hang. real talk.
I love the irony of Jesse playing THIS song with them when it was written about him. It's amazing. I love it.

Two of my favorite bands ever playing together....my life is complete.
i don't understand how jesse could play this live, guess he got over it. for those who don't know what i'm talking about. this is song is a response to Brand New's song "Seventy Times Seven". put two and two together.
this is pretty much AMAZING.
Jesse Lacey is the man
Taking back Sunday's self titled 5 song ep from i think like 99 has both of them in it, jesses lacey was the original bassist of taking back sunday, before adam, will noon and shaun cooper joined the band. you could probably find it online somewhere to download
this is absolutely amazing. i wouldve died if i was there
wow... this is so cool for so many reasons...
i never realized it but jesse is actually looking at john through half this song and like actually still looks pissed off.
I would have killed to be there... lucky lucky kids
The sound quality is surprisingly good
I love both bands. But brand new is without a doubt my favorite. Even though the album your favorite weapon was the best thing ive ever heard in my life. i still like the new stuff. who can complain
both bands are awesome and very different its pretty hard to compare
words cant express how much I wish I was at that show. looks fucking awesome.
Jesse at 2:50. Very awesome.

he talking to the audience telling them if there friends left the show early tell them that they missed this performance
lovin what jesse does 2:50
the bands had nothing against eachother, the songs were just written by john nolan from tbs and jesse lacey from brand new. It was about some fight they had a while ago.
Amazing. Wish I could been there
at 2:49 -- the Bromance between Jesse and John= =D
The same reason John was singing Seventy Times 7 with Brand New
no the song this is a response to seventy time seven in that song jesse talks about how his best freind slept with his girl the song no i in team is his friend talking about how it was an accident
I’ve heard that a common misconception is that the girl was Jesse’s girlfriend. Other accounts say it was just a girl Jesse liked
I interpreted originally as if your best friend leaves you what the "fuck they missed" was you, but I guess your way works too.
Does anyone else notice how Jesse points to John during the line "if we go down, we go down together"? Heh heh...
lacey is a beast!
good to see that there's no bad blood
totally agreed
you're right, if this is 2002 then it must be nolan on stage.
but, regardless, the song was written about them falling out, so there is no way this was before they fell out. that would be impossible. hence, friends!
brand new is better than ever now =O
no, it wasn't before.
"seventy times 7" was written about them falling out, and "there's no 'i' in team" was written as a reply to "seventy times 7"...
they are performing "there's no 'i' team" here, evidently they're getting along...
besides, it was john nolan jesse fell out with, not adam lazzara. john nolan isn't even on stage here, he no longer performs with TBS.
so there =P
Jesse and John look like they could be brothers
ohh my god.... I LOVE YOU!!!!
@sk8ergrlsky well not only was "i in team" written in response to seventy times 7, but the bridges contain the same lyrics (is that what you call tact, your as subtle...etc)
Adam's voice was fucking incredible live.
No, Jesse wrote the 70x7 originally, then John wrote No I in Team in response.
Fuck, I love the solo at the end. It gave me goosebumps
Amen. And now that Fred has left... they've got nothing :|
jesse and john look like twins
sad to see so many offend comments to TBS, they changed my life, they understand my life like no one else, I think Brand New changed hard core history too but Geez is hard to say who is better, but I think I would say TBS even they changed they had some of best lyrics of all rock n roll history
Any one else notice how Jesse pointed to John during the line "if we go down, we go down together?" Heh heh...
yep
OLD TBS = 10
OLD BRAND NEW = 9
NEW BRAND NEW = 9
NEW TBS = 8
i'd say they are pretty equal bands... both wonderful.
wonder if your opinion has changed much
300th like!
ironic how they both wrote songs talking shit to eachother and then played them together.
what were they smoking when they did this?
but its freaking amazing!!
Freaking insane.
I woulda killed to be there..
I was like.. 10 when this was made.
I was born too late =[
i'm talking about the boy who blocked is own shot from brand new its a song were he clearly is apoligizing himself and trying to make it better again a lyric is 'If it makes you less sad, will start talking again' Its a completly different song than this one
i want to be there so bad.
@OmniaVincit414 Yes. I noticed that. Fucking love it.
its crazy how much jesse and john look alike haha
Absolutely, if you only been on their live here in Manila Philippines, you'll see how fucking amazing his vocal. I mean, the recorded MP3 voice and his live are smooth, during his live performance it was like you're listening to your I pod
What does he mean by this is "Seventy Times 7" or "There's no I in team" depending on what record you bought first? I understand the feud between them but what does he mean..?
@gorhamics i agree 10000000000 percent
oh my god! i love when jesse starts pointing back and forth between him and john when he sings "If we go down we go down together best friends means, well best friends means."
my god. that shud not make me smile so much. :D
At 2:18 , it looks like Jesse is having a seizure!
@bberger898 you should see john and tbs back together now. they are amazing! but i cant compare tbs to bn ha both are to too badass
pretty much.
2:48 omg
no way, dude. Jesse OWNS Adam. Fact.
because jesse and john are over what happened, obviously.
John Nolan is what made taking back sunday awesome just like straylight run is awesome now. and btw why is Jesse singing this song?
2:47
does anyone else find this highly ironic?
is it just me or does jesse totally take somebody out at 4:20-4:21? hahah
How about brand new and straylight run? TBS is a bit lackluster nowadays without John, IMO.
is Adam here?
@sk8ergrlsky which is supposedly the last thing jesse said to john nolan on the phone after he slept with jesses girlfriend
okay, out of evveryone here, your probably my favorite lol. even though it was john not adam, your the closest haha where has everyone heard it ws jesses sister?
@bberger898 tbs is back man.!
wow! you are soooooooo funny! and totally original aswell coz ive never heard that one. no, really, you are just so funny, really. ass.
wtf is he saying in the beginning and middle of the song
@LeaveLushes Dude, this happened way after they hated each other
"This song is called Seventy Times Seven, and/or No I In Team depending on which record you bought first."
So this was supposed to be called 70x7 but Jesse stole the name??
I know that man, but why did Adam say that?
but thered is a me
mmhmm
Why would Jesse perform this song with them, I really don't get it
Pretty sure it's not him but, its very distorted and messy that breakdown so it sounds like it is, that's probably the reason they made it like that, after all this song is aimed at him.
BN is way better, the old TBS was really good also, but tbs turned into pussies while BN stayed awesome. It's just amazing to see these two playing together, especially Jesse and John
i like them both as well, but fed owns on Jesse, hands down. he was just as good as john, but I do miss the the john days. well crap, i miss the Fred days now to.
casually watching this with my hand in my pants
John Nolan (from TBS) slept with his best friend Jesse Lacey's (from brand new) girlfriend. Jesse writes a song called 70x7 which calls out John and says what a hypocrite and ahole he is since he was his best friend at the time. The Boy who blocked his own shot is a response to there's no I in team where he excuses himself, or so I think :p
adam > jesse. fact.
maybe so, but i still think adam has a better voice.. haha.
Ay fucking guey boys
your way off.
jesse of brand new's girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend, john nolan formerly of taking back sunday, THUS making 70X7 and theres no i in team.
dont talk shit about adam.
Tbs has nothing on Jesse lacy or brand new!
I wish all of my favorite bands didn't suck live.
scandalous
nooooo......
jesse and john = best friends.
jesse girl cheats on him with john. = 70 times 7
Adam and john write in response. = no i in team.
adam fools with johns sister michelle.
john and shaun leave tbs. start straylight run with michelle and will the drummer from freds(who replaced john in tbs)old band breaking pangea.
no one hates anyone. when they tour near each other they hang.
real talk.
@ilovechairmanmeow Start liking better bands.
