Joey, unless you get some pull back risers, and set your back straight, you will be spending your golden years in traction. Just like the corp. They brake you more than one way. Mentally and physically. Got my first Sportster in 78 felt great. Got a forty eight now, love the way it looks, but I gotta get a set of mini apes.so I don't hunch over. Pay now or you sure will later. Don't mean to rain on any one's parade, but The harder you play now the less mobil you will be 10-30 yrs. later.Take care of your self. Mike
cool ass video Slosser OneFourFive the song makes it way cooler. gonna be getting me a 48 sometime this year will be my first bike guy I work with has one and they are cool as looking bikes.
Ulrich, I'm not exactly sure of the "pitch" of my tank or handlebars, but I can tell you that its a 2.5" tank lift, and the handlebars have a 9" rise with 1" risers, for a total of 10" of rise. Hope that helps. And thanks!
Hahaha....I have 1inch bars, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I really dig the silhouette of you bike. Mine is just a little different....
Now this is why i bought my 48, with just a "little" extra work it looks really bad-ass. Cant wait to get it (comin' tommorow) and get my hands dirty. My woman thinks i'm crazy to change it as soon as i have it hahaha. But i know she's leaving heres to dust in the garage as soon as i'm finished with it and take mine (NO..!)
I own a 48 as well; I love it for the classic brawler look. I'm having z-bars installed within the next couple of days. I was wondering, though, who made the bag you have at your left. Harley?
Dude, this is no bullshit, u have the best harley ever made. U need to let us know how to get ours like yours. Specifics like what u do to tank to make it look so cool. Did u take seat off and ride with just a towel as a seat? Details. If i ever get a harley 48 im be back here to get u to help me build mine. Im serious
Really nice bike - and cool driver. Superb choice of music as well! I noticed that you can see through the bike beneath the saddlebag, which means you have quite short exhausts mounted - or none! :-o Seriously: Which one do you have on your bike? V&H Shortshots..? Ride safe PS: Keep the ZZ-bars! Outstanding looks!
@crisisisback, I don't know who makes the bars. But I can tell you that they are a 9 inch rise, along with a 1 inch riser. Im sure you can find some z-bars with similar if not the same dimensions. Hope that helps.
Cool man, thanks anyway. I have similar bars (Biltwell Keystones) but they aren't as high as yours. I'll find out what yours are and let you know. Ride safe!
Nice bike. Did you wire the control cables inside the bars? Was that hard to do? Do you disconnect the cables at the top, near the grips, or at the bottom? Thanks in advanced
I did wire the bars internally. The most difficult part was getting the wires to go through the sharp corners of the Z-bars. Other than that it wasn't difficult. Though I did need to extend the wires a few inches.
hey man! Im really impressed by your bike. I'm just up to order Zed bars as well. My only concern is if I have to get new wires or can I just use the original ones? Please let me know :)
Do you find that the bike gets less miles out of a tank since the tank lift was done? I am conflicted on a tank lift with a 7.9litre tank. I can't really afford to lose anymore useable fuel lol
hey! thanks for you answer :) could you please tell me what are the bars you're having there? is that lick's aped 8"? How high can you go with the bars before replacing any cables or wires?
Hi I'm from Italy and i'm gonna customize my Sporty. One question... how many inches did you raise the tank? Did you cut the metal or bought a kit for it? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Ciao David
Hello,I'm french and i am looking for the same handlebar like yours, but i found 5 inch no more. Can you tell me the reference of yours and where can i found one or where did you found yours. Thanks for your answer.Like we said in France,I "KIFF" your bike style!!!
Not quite professional. Pardon me for not riding my bike while looking like there is a stick up my ass. This bike isn't for distance trips anyway, just a fun, cool, tough lookin little sportster. Take it for what it is. Thanks for your input tho. I'm going to go kill myself now.
Slosser OneFourFive Aahahahahaha don't take my comment too serious, I just thought it was funny based on my observations. I love sportsters but I cannot get over the riding position of the 48. It haunts me and I just wish they'd bring back the nightster or make a new 1200 sporty.
Have a 09 nightster and I think the tank sits too high at stock (SPORTSTERS KNOWN FOR BEING TOP HEAVY) I'm gonna get a flattracker tank for mine to help distribute the wieght lower n a bigger ,lower tank .I don't get it at why would you do a tank lift????? hmmm let me make it even more top heavy than it already is !!
Love the old school Sportster!
Man... This was better than most promo videos. You captured the feeling and freedom of that bike perfect!
A new Choppertown! Great video and SUPER BIKE!!!
Strzał w dziesiątkę. uwielbiam patrzeć jak ten gość sobie jedzie .. i jeszcze ta muzyka...podoba mi się bardzo.Paluch w górę.
Bike and rider bopping to the tune. Awesome clip.
Im in Love with the way this bike just sits...!! Tastefully done Sir Great job 👌🏾💯
Joey Ortega me 2
I wonder how tall those biltwell keystone bars are...? Love them 🤘🏾

Man, I am so inspired by your bike. I have a stock 48. Everything I see on yours is absolutely what I adore in a bike. Perfect, man.
Goathead....you had me at baphomet and Leviathan crosses
Сила !
@HD Shovelhead actually they are a 9 inch rise with a 1 inch riser.

Would make a great opening to a film!

Mann that's cool
Really nice bike - and cool driver.
Superb choice of music as well!

Really nice ride! Just one question: how tall are you? It looks like you really have to stretch yourself to reach the bar..
man i love you bike.
Damn that's sick! tank lift? u have instigram?
@mat Szu no, you shouldn't have to swap out any cables or wires. FYI, mine were not zed bars. But they should look good on there anyway.
What kind of seat do you have? Looks like your sitting far back which really makes your stance look bad ass
@crisisisback, I don't know who makes the bars. But I can tell you that they are a 9 inch rise, along with a 1 inch riser. Im sure you can find some z-bars with similar if not the same dimensions. Hope that helps.
Nice bike ! Do you have to change any of the wires for that handlebar ? Thanks
For sure man, search Matt Slosser. There's only two of us in the country.... I think.
Cool man, thanks anyway. I have similar bars (Biltwell Keystones) but they aren't as high as yours. I'll find out what yours are and let you know. Ride safe!
Awesome! video
What is background music?
now that's a ride, please name of the song PLEASE.
aawesome
Hey man, looks awesome, any other mods apart from the bars? How do you find the dyna compared to 48?
Rock star
I really dig your bars, what are they? I got a 3 inch tank lift as well and have the same bike. I got to say your bars look way comfy.
muito Foda !! estilo e Liberdade :D
That feeling
Are there any more videos or images of her? I also have a 48 and this project interests me
hey bud, gorgeous bike! very tasteful mods.
Are they 8" Z Bars and is that a 2" tank lift? the angles work perfectly.
nice video
Badass!!
Nice!!
Slosser OneFourFive Did you buy a wiring kit for the extension? If so do you have a link? I will need to do it. Thanks
No I did not buy a kit, I soldered a section midway thru the wiring...
Nice.
sorry for google translation , je suis désolé :) Merci beaucoup for your answer , BONNE ROUTE !
The sound of the bike would have been way more enjoyable than that music. Sweet bike!
Hi I'm from Italy and i'm gonna customize my Sporty.
One question... how many inches did you raise the tank?
Did you cut the metal or bought a kit for it?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Ciao

Professional hunchback.
Not quite professional. Pardon me for not riding my bike while looking like there is a stick up my ass. This bike isn't for distance trips anyway, just a fun, cool, tough lookin little sportster. Take it for what it is. Thanks for your input tho. I'm going to go kill myself now.

No worries, man. You are correct tho, it wasn't the most comfortable thing I've ridden, that's for sure...
Can't deny the look factor though :) Peace... enjoy the bike
Bikes gone... Sold it couple years ago. Dyna now...

Where can I see a picture of your bike, bro?
Good video would of been better to hear the bike more than the music
Nice bike! But somehow shaky video!
Looks mean :)
your handle bar how tall is it? i take it you had to replace the cabling too?
9 inches, and no I didn't have to replace my cables.
Slosser OneFourFive Would you mind who made the handle bars?
Of course I don't mind, but unfortunately I don't know what brand they were, though I do know I got them from Licks Cycles. Hope that helps.
Slosser OneFourFive
it does help man!! a lot!!!...thx so much....
You an MMA dude?
Looks like a painful ride if your over 40.
I don't have a recent video but if you are on Facebook let me know. You cannot search for me but I can hopefully find you
Z bar nime?
To make air under the gas tank.

Anderson Zhu same question,
Did you lower the suspension?
+ harley sound no music
who makes those bars
+Jose Resendez Biltwell Z Bars
+LaMadrid81 or keystone bars
Actually the bars on this bike are neither Biltwell Z bars nor Biltwell Keystones. They were some no name after market brand.
@CrudeDude
you goin to put that same lame text under every forty eight vid? happy you found out how to copy and paste, is it?
*yaaawn*
I actually think 1" bars look better on this bike.
