    I’m a window cleaner. Used to go through like 5 of those $5 buckets a year on average. Wire handle gave out or bucket split. Got a yeti bucket a few years ago. Has some scratches here and there. To be expected. Bucket still strong and handle still as good as day one. Not only last longer, it’s just such better quality. My suggestion to anyone checking all this out is..Just get the yeti lol

    It’s a bucket to hold ice/ fish/ drinks, it’s a seat, it has a optional gear tray and rod/cup holders. This replaces everything for a day at the lake fishing!!! Plus go home bleach it and it’s ready to go again! One epic bucket!

    For a while I didn't like the lid because it didn't get a tight seal, but I found out if you pinch the valve to the side and press the lid it will create a vacuum seal and the lid stays on much better.

    I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE!!!!!!!!! If you are an avid outdoorsman whose weekend endeavors require a 5 gallon bucket, these are a dream come true. I got 4 I will be buying a 5th ,I bought one to gift and that person loved it so much they bought another 1! I can strap to atv ect. These are truly the unsung hero's of the yeti line up! Excellent for ice fishing too!

      @ScoopsTV funny, this comes up again as I used one all day today fishing! These rock! I use them for EVERYTHING! I actually own and use 6 of them! Cleaning fish, I have 1 bucket with fish to be cleaned, one with fresh water for rinsing fillets, (that way, scales don't clog sink) and one for guts. 5 gallon buckets are part of my recreation life. Food grade, non slip bottom, can be strapped to an atv etc, insanely durable and strong, and super comfortable carry! Be well, be safe, stay amped and have a revd up weekend! Take care!

  • @fluentinsilence

    I agree with you on the aspect of buying things once; I spend more on quality products because of the durability; I will spend a few hundred on a rain jacket that could withstand a force 2 hurricane versus something I got a deal on that will leak if the wind is faster than a breeze.

    I get the argument about paying to buy quality thjngs that will last, however there is an argument the other way. We live in a world where things are evolving fast and what is the best today might not be the best next week, which would make sense if youre buying something thats constantly evolving, it might be smarter to hold back on going fullbore. I think this is a safe bet though. The bucket has been a good tool for a long time and cant change much more. Ive been through everytype of backpack available and if you strap this thjng to a bullpack frame you have the ultimate backpack setup.

    I can't find the stupid link but there is a article out there that shows how much it cost yeti to make one of those buckets. you are getting ripped off lol you literally paying for a name, I am not denying the quality of the bucket just the ridiculously stupid price. They literally had a link for similar buckets that were a ⅓ the price.
    I'll edit this comment if I find the link or just Google similar yeti buckets and it'll pop right up.

    • @ScoopsTV
      @ScoopsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sherborg makes a similar bucket for half the price , I prefer the yeti though .sometimes a name is worth paying for , I pay 250$ for rayban sunglasses , i pay 400$ for benchmade knives , i like the best and the brand names

    • @dennywheeler6414
      @dennywheeler6414 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pricing should never be done on a cost plus margin basis, it should be based on utility. At first I thought $40 for a bucket was a little extreme until I realized I spent over $20 in one summer because my lowe's buckets kept cracking, once just when leaning on it to stand up and once when removing a lid. If my Yeti lasts me two summers I'm ahead of the game.
