I transcribed this music for military bands. The Airforce is playing my transcription. This is purely Kenyan music of Luhya origin. Yesu Wainyanza. I am happy to see it performed by a great band led by Major Aamon Mwashumbe! Kazi Tosha!
Yesu Wainyanza A luhya gospel song Yesu Waiyanza[ Jesus loved me] Yarunga likofi [He paid my debt] Yachira embole [He's made me say] Yarunga likofi khumsalaba [He paid my debt on the cross]
Whoever knows the name of the quick march played while the parade was entering the field to let me know! Is it a traditional British March or it is Kenyan? I love it.
@Faiza Hassan I went on a date with a girl I’d talked to briefly on Facebook. After a while she said to me - “What’s up? You seem disappointed.” “Oh nothing, it’s just you don’t look anything like your profile picture” “That’s my 12 year old daughter” 😉😁😉😁
That music they entered in the arena is the one used when they collect the color-as in grenadiers quick march, "escort for the color! By the left quick march!! "ordered by the salbartan.
@@evanskich 7th KR got its color in that park in 1977 . 9 th KR got its color on December 12 1980 at this ground . So was 5th KR ,3 KR and other infantry units of Kenya Army. Why do you say it's small ?
@@hassanalhussein3982 I ment in terms of public invited into the stands but also when you see in terms of soldiers back then the unit trooping were the only ones on parade, Nowdays they are escorted by sister services hence a chain of 140 soldiers will stretch up until the gate
@@evanskich I do agree with you on that However, the trooping on those days were similar to that of Britain, we use to do L shape because the ground was too big compared to Nyayo stadium . If you look at present day trooping they have made a lot of changes because of Nyayo stadium isn't for military parade .
Cheers Kenya Air Force. Memories are made of this. That was a very well conducted parade.
Heeee the first song, yesu wainyanza yarunga likobi
overall good choice of music for this occasion. 4 years ago and is still very good today. Heko Major Ammon Mwashumbe

@@elnashiks3258 it is not in any hymnal, I figured out. It is a Luyha Christian song called "Yesu wainyanza''

I think British military system and uniform is the best in the globe. Kenya is lucky to have followed the suit.

This is the best place for trooping the color. I don't know why they shifted it to Nyayo stadium.

Why
Sijai ona mistake ya military inakuwanga straight tu
You should watch kenya police
@Mama Lael you are joking, drills is not a Kenya police thing. It belongs to the military. Afadhali hata ungesema AP
Hahahaha...just laughing, watch for yourself and comment
@Cliff Media Productions yeah, Mr Wycliffe. In the military drill is like prayer or act of worship and must be perfect.

As a German I highly doubt that is was the best parade ever

The best ones you know probably are those done by the NAZI soldiers in 1940!
