Like are they going to say/post something about it on September 5 instead? Part of me thinks they're staying silent because they're trying to gaslight us into believing September 5 is the correct release date even though we know it isn't lol.
It actually was published in the US on the 2nd, in EU and AUS on the 4th and in the UK on the 5th according to wikipedia sooo maybe we still have hope?

Glad you confirmed that the Laundry List is all that's been posted so far because I kept thinking I was missing something. What a bummer to not do anything for a big milestone anniversary.
It would make sense for a death pack because when sisms die there is a tonbstone and then your sims are sad for 3 days. It would be cool to see them add stuff for a cemetary as well.
I remember when you were doing a Lovestruck stream and one of the sims gurus said something among the lines of "dying together" when the chat was asking/talking about future packs lol
I understand it’s a major US holiday but as simsie said they could have even scheduled an insta post. It just feels like the biggest slap in the face as I highly doubt they didn’t see how excited the community was for the 10th birthday. But not even that it would have been nice to give back to a community that has supposed them for so long with a birthday post, a sale, or even some free express items 😕
I wonder, they do have teams in another countries, right? Wouldn’t it have been okay to prepare a post and then maybe let team members in another country oversee it? Ugh, idk. It could've been so simple: create a small anniversary kit that's free for everyone who logs in within a week and additionally do an anniversary sale for a cheap cash grab. You can't tell me a set of a couple of items would be THAT much work for the Sims team considering how much some modders put out there (alone and for free). I mean...it's the 10th anniversary of a game that's living off of it's way too overpriced DLCs. They could give the players SOMETHING
The skeptic in me thinks maybe they didn't want to draw attention to the fact that the Sims 4 has been around twice as long as any Sims game but falls WAY WAY short of twice the amount of content.
I want free kits, personally. Or the early access items for older packs being gifted. Especially since we can’t buy the new packs until the bugs are fixed, because they are game breaking.
I'm bummed too, but you dressing up for our benefit is a nice little anniversary gift. Thank you for making this game even more fun and keeping it positive.😸
Honestly, finding out they're fixing a bunch of really annoying bugs sounds great. Like, I'd rather they spend their time making the game more playable rather than other things. But I can understand why other people were excited for something more. And a new base game update would have been awesome. But I'm just so happy I won't have to buy 10 copies of homework anymore.
Jesus I feel old now, I can remember being 14 and PLEADING my parents to get me Sims 4 (given that it cost about £49.99 at the time, and that was just base game, no pools, as buggy as it still is to this day, and I could only play it on our home computer as we didn't have our own laptops at that time... (also it was windows 8 and my dad had the AWFUL parental controls set up so it would literally kick me out of the game without warning and I had to ask my dad to unlock it just so I could save 😭))
7:30 wait theres graduation? i know that sounds sarcastic but im ligitamitly surprised by that ive never seen that in my gameplay or in any video ive seen lol
It's literally never worked in my game lol. But basically none of the features of HSY work for me 🤷 (can't sneak out, prom doesn't work, never had a career day, judge doesn't announce winners for cheerleading or football competitions, no graduation). The university graduations work though!
@@skunkjo3195yeah I think I’ve only gotten HS graduation twice in the same save file I’ve had for a year. I get prom regularly thankfully but I literally only ever get college graduation now it’s kind of crazy
I just want 2 things for their birthday. 1) BEDS to actually give sims energy (all the dream home decorator beds are beautiful, but either energy 4 or none at all, and it's so annoying to use the get famous bed over and over :D in order to give my sims enough sleep) and maybe an option to update your beds to give more energy. 2) basegame hair swatch update. I need peach, ligter blue and purple/violet shades. THANK YOU EA in advance.
I was watching some other simmers talk about the anniversary, and someone said something about they wanting to do something special on the global release anniversary, which is September 5th. I know the sims 4 is an American game, but they are trying to include different cultures and different parts of the world into the game for some time now. I, as a non-american sims player will be actually really happy if they waited a couple of days, even if it's because of the Holliday like you said. Anyway, I hope they do at least something.
Some of those bug fixes are probably easy to resolve because there are other more significantly-affecting-gameplay bugs that have been ignored. ALL the real money we've sunk into The Sims 4 over the past decade. Thank you for this video, Kayla!
the link is set to the laundry list from july and not the September one!!! just an FYI for those trying to find the September one just scroll all the way down and it should be there!!!!
An announcement for an anniversary gift??? That’s no gift. EA is so ungrateful for all the people that continue to play their broken game. And I think it’s fair to be upset. Like a million dollar company (I’m assuming) can’t even post a little celebratory post for their anniversary??? Seems insane to me.
I stopped playing the sims because of all of the bugs, but the ones that are bothering me the most aren't even on the list. I guess it's not time to reopen it yet.
I think, every time they add something, or even just their social media tries to post something, people are spamming them with fix your game, fix the bugs, etc messages. So they must have thought that this is the perfect gift, fixing a ton of bugs ( that laundry list is massive). But they never could have known, that nothing is good for the sims community.
Kayla you are not a clown nor unreasonable ! We are all extremely disappointed, it's just anotherday where ea shows how much they dont care about this game and its community except for making money
That could be me giving them too much credit, but back in the day, The Sims 4 was a staggered release worldwide, meaning it was released on September 5th in my country. Just a thought, but they could be waiting for the date the base game was out everywhere before posting the "official" birthday thing, whatever it might be if there is one at all.
If it is a life and death pack, I hope for a new (or a few new) active careers: grim reaper, sadness hotline worker, book of life archiver, ghost guardian (think Beetlejuice department of the recently departed). I also would like to see more active memorials that don’t always call ghosts. Like “tell infant/child/teen story of ancestors” or “share memory of…(dead sim)”. And of course some new deaths. Maybe the new world could have portals to an all ghost world labeled “afterlife”.
I would happily buy this and proudly let it break my game. I wish EA could see your idea - it ties into paranormal, generations, archelogy- really cool concept!
If there is a "Death" pack coming all I can think that would be in it is funerals, cemeteries and wakes. If they do include "Life" events then maybe they'll add baby showers if they weren't already in growing together but other than that idk what else they could include.
I didn't expect anything, but it is 10 years of their game THEY SHOULD do sth GRAND for this, just so community will feel better after their fiasco of patches latly. Big base game update are for the anniversaries in other different games ;-;
I am disappointed, but that is in no way your fault Kayla. The Sims is a huge franchise, making millions of dollars every year. The fact that The Sims Team can’t even acknowledge the dedicated fans that put so much money and countless hours into this game, is unheard of! The 10 year anniversary is a huge deal! The fact that they couldn’t even schedule a tweet to go out yesterday, is insane. I don’t need an announcement or an update (even though I was definitely hoping for one), I just wanted them to acknowledge the anniversary and thank the fans… After all, it is the fan base that keep this game funded. It is the fan base that does the advertising. It is the fan base that does the bug testing. I am not disappointed in EA, I have no expectations towards a money hungry corporation. I AM disappointed in The Sims Team though. I keep on holding out hope that they care about the game they are making and that they care about the fans, but I find no evidence of it anymore…
I honestly feel the list of bugs is a great gift… i rather have a fixed and functioning game than them adding more stuff that’ll also ultimately end up broken due time the previous bugs 🤷🏽♀️
I fully believe simmers celebrate The Sims better than the devs. I made a few mods to celebrate this milestone because I wanted to share with the community. I half expected there to be a sale of sorts, or a happy birthday? Idk, you're not alone in thinking it's a little weird.
Even if they didn't post anything exciting like announcements, merch, sale, etc I think it would have been nice to see at least an acknowledgement of the game turning 10. Nowadays with how the game has been especially this year 10 years is a HUGE deal because some projects end up getting cancelled before its even out or like today a game might be out for two weeks and then we get an announcement it's going offline i.e. Concord (different genre) That's just my thoughts
I mean, I hope they do acknowledge the anniversary and maybe do an update for it, but I'm actually very happy with a lot of the stuff on the laundry list!
The most exciting part is where it said when a sim dies itll actually show an urn like its suppose to. I was trying to start a graveyard but it hasnt been working bc no urn spawns sometimes. For other households not mine
How about a "Couple's Decoration" challenge? You and your fiance take turns decorating a space. You each get to put down 5-10 items and after your turn is over the items cannot be moved or recolored. See how well you can make 2 possibly clashing styles work together. (Not just decorations, everything from appliances, floors/walls, windows, landscaping, etc.)
Just like they did for their 5th anniversary, they are most likely going to use the Worldwide release date, and not just the North American release date, to celebrate, which is September 5th. I'm really not sure why everyone is freaking out about this. I mean, their own app has the official release date as September 5, 2014.
I WAS WAITING SO PATIENTLY FOR THEM TO POST ANYTHING LITERALLY ANYTHING AND WE GOT NOTHING. It’s so disappointing it honestly feels like a slap in the face simply because us simmers have been supporting the game for 10 years or more, and they can’t even acknowledge it. Not to mention they can’t even acknowledge the hard work that their workers have put in for these past 10 years.
As a developer student myself, I know that each and every single to do list item would require blood sweat and tears for the team to debug. I feel that the developer team doesn't get much love, they do a really very good job in my opinion
Agreed. It feels like the TS4 team has finally started allocating time and resources towards fixing bugs and implementing the basic functionality features that people have been asking about for years. This is a much better use of time than some social media birthday tweet or a free hot tub.
I was really hoping they would do something. I haven’t got back into the game since the update about 2 months ago completely wiped my saves and not even my back up survived. Hundreds of hours just gone. But I was hoping for something fun to give me a kick to jump back on. Super disappointed with the sims team on this one. I love your outfit! Super cute! You make amazing content and I love watching it. I’m sorry that the sims let us all down again. 🖤
Oooh I might actually put grills in my backyards again when they arent fenced in! In one of my saves I had dozens of destressing decoctions lying around, and a couple of fires from random NPCs using my grill. Also, dont feel bad Simsie. I'm sad and disappointed too. I bet a lot of us are.
This is hands down the most annoying thing in my game rn, people keep making destressing decorations!! They are everywhere and they are driving me insane

I mean, at this point, it basically is ...
I'm trying not to get my hopes up... but with the Sims social media team not even ACKNOWLEDGING the 10th anniversary yesterday or today that makes me wonder about how the EA app says the release date is September 5, 2014. Like are they going to say/post something about it on September 5 instead? Part of me thinks they're staying silent because they're trying to gaslight us into believing September 5 is the correct release date even though we know it isn't lol.
It actually was published in the US on the 2nd, in EU and AUS on the 4th and in the UK on the 5th according to wikipedia sooo maybe we still have hope?
noooo the fit was so good!!😭😭
i thought i was going crazy this morning because i couldnt find any posts about what was added... honestly not surprised but definitely adding it to the list of reasons why my patience with EA and the sims is running so mf thin.
also to not even acknowledge the anniversary is so odd to me lol
To say not a word on the occasion absolutely blows my mind! They could've put a "hey, thanks for all the support over the last TEN YEARS" note at the top of the gd laundry list, but no. Nothing.
@@runawayfaeIX literally, not even making a damn instagram post is insane !!! 0 acknowledgment is weird as hell
Tons of players can’t even save their games because of an error code. Gardening has been completely broken forever. No, we get a list of bug fixes that are honestly not that important. There were 2 out of that entire list that made me think, “wow that’s really important, I’m glad they are fixing it.” Oooh a pair of pants is clipping… seriously?! We have WAY more pressing issues that need to be addressed.🙄 AHHHHHHHHHH
Yessss it keeps saying error code 0 for me and its so annoying!!! do you know more about that or prehaps how to fix it? I keep losing the progress i make when i go onto sims because it doesnt save
@@hols7183 only workaround to fix It Is to Always save the game Using the "save as" option. For It also works to save before going to manager scenario. Its insane they dont even care enough to fix a bug preventing TO SAVE THE GAME
@@hols7183 simsie had that happen in her legacy save and she saved as, if that helps ❤
@hols7183 using "save as" is working for it. Annoying but better than loosing everything
I feel this way about all the laundry lists. They focus on fixing these obscure bugs and ignore the huge ones!
i mean at least last time, even though it was laughable, we got SOMETHING- 10 years of this game and not a single thing is so incredibly stupid business wise
Glad you confirmed that the Laundry List is all that's been posted so far because I kept thinking I was missing something. What a bummer to not do anything for a big milestone anniversary.
I expected just a birthday tweet even. Nothing happened…I am sad…
Opening this with “I am feeling like a massive clown today” in all of that Sims merch is so funny lol
kayak is dripped out
the earrings are ADORABLE!!
Omgggg
yeah I remember that too !
Love that as a tie-in to Growing Together.
Fr, I was NOT expecting much but not even an acknowledgment?? Truly I am absolutely stunned.
0:02 already killed it with the outfit! Love the full fan look ! 😂😂
Really all they would’ve had to do (especially if they are planning something) is say Happy 10th birthday to the sims4, look out for more to come 👀
saying you feel like a clown with that fit is exactly how i felt... not even a hottub SDX drop
At least you look fabulous 💚💅
Hi Deli! Hope you're doing okay!
I'm bummed too, but you dressing up for our benefit is a nice little anniversary gift. Thank you for making this game even more fun and keeping it positive.😸
The Sims is my most toxic relationship.
This is ridiculous, they didn't even adress the error code 0 in that laundry list.
I know right! The game is literally unplayable at the moment and they have informed very little about the fix or progress on it
that’s actually crazy …
The Sims is in it's endless flop era
Honestly, finding out they're fixing a bunch of really annoying bugs sounds great. Like, I'd rather they spend their time making the game more playable rather than other things. But I can understand why other people were excited for something more. And a new base game update would have been awesome. But I'm just so happy I won't have to buy 10 copies of homework anymore.
also I'm dying at Simsie taking her mother's advice and wearing a hat
@@arrow_awsome only with highschool years, every weekend
It's literally never worked in my game lol. But basically none of the features of HSY work for me 🤷 (can't sneak out, prom doesn't work, never had a career day, judge doesn't announce winners for cheerleading or football competitions, no graduation). The university graduations work though!
@@skunkjo3195yeah I think I’ve only gotten HS graduation twice in the same save file I’ve had for a year. I get prom regularly thankfully but I literally only ever get college graduation now it’s kind of crazy
The earings are everything for me
Adorable Kayla. You look like a sims tourist 😂
The Sims 4 and I share a birthday, and I got pretty much the same level of celebration. Not even a phone call from my Dad.
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday 🎉
Happy birthday!
Awh happy birthday and virtual hugs from here!
Well happy birthday!
'Life and Death' sounds very fitting for October, with Halloween and all that!
I feel like this is the perfect encapsulation of Sims 4 at this point.
I just want 2 things for their birthday.
1) BEDS to actually give sims energy (all the dream home decorator beds are beautiful, but either energy 4 or none at all, and it's so annoying to use the get famous bed over and over :D in order to give my sims enough sleep)
and maybe an option to update your beds to give more energy.
2) basegame hair swatch update. I need peach, ligter blue and purple/violet shades.
THANK YOU EA in advance.
so glad games like inzoi is here to show sims4 how to listen to community
yeah why am i not surprised
10 anniversary and we get bug fixes, wild 😭
not even bug fixes, just a to do list of bug fixes smh 💀
14:06 i hope it’s inspired by day of the dead and we get a like sub-world for the dead kinda like how they have glimmerbrook for spellcaarers
Where's the "Sad because of forgotten birthday" moodlet
Perfect comment. 😂
Loving the merch. Also... agree whole heartedly
16:15 I agree...
Same. What an absolute letdown 😔
I didn't expect anything, but it is 10 years of their game THEY SHOULD do sth GRAND for this, just so community will feel better after their fiasco of patches latly. Big base game update are for the anniversaries in other different games ;-;
I love your earrings Kayla! 💖
@@VS-kf5qw agree
If wedding stories actually gets fixed i might buy it. I want the build buy and cas stuff, but I don't want to buy it of its broken.
You should've gone out of town, they would've announced the release date for Project Rene or something 😂
When I opened my game there was a 10 years anaversary pop up with limited edition merch
