I love that you do this puzzle often :) I devolve to marking fairly early but try to limit which ones I write in. Often it bites me in the behind and you beat me, but today was just under 11. Have a great day and holiday season ;)

Congrats on the solve. 9x9s can be tricksy but you finished it. Thanks for sharing. A few notes below, mainly on flanking pairs.
One Up 277 is another disjointed 9x9 solve. No escalated logic though, just lots of steps. A few sweeping 3s. Some tandem segments. Pigeonholing with pairs. Oh, and that idea of using flanking pairs on the edges to influence the interior is back.
My first was just over 4 minutes. I posted my Mad Dash, a better, more efficient path. 2’39.
    -- Notes on your solve
    - 0:55 tandem segments (c1,c9)
Tandem segments are parallel, see each other, have a common range, & tend to solve together, jumping in between.
Knowing them helps narrow down scanning. In this case, c9 and c1 solve together along r3.
    - 1:15 flanking pair (1,2 on r6)
Nice catch of this. It’ll help your solve later.
    - [addendum] flanking pairs
on larger puzzles, it might help you to … I can’t believe this is being said … mark them. Nothing else. Just the flanking pairs in large puzzles, not whole chains. I do this in my Puzzle 200 video so folks can keep track along with me.
    - 5:30 post process glitch
You see what the 8 does to c5, but you don’t pigeonhole c2:
    1,2 → r5,r7
    3 → r4
    4 → r1
    5 → r8
    8 → r9
    - 7:25 pigeonhole r9
you get the 8 on c2r9 here. Nice use of the 2,3 flanking pair.
    - 8:00 post process blind spots
c2 skipped again. If you pigeonhole it as above, most of the NW quarter resolves.
    c6 started but not finished. 3 → r6.
    - 9:00 pigeonhole c2 baseline
    Yay!
    NW falls. Sweet.
    - 12:55 r6 flanking pair work
That 1,2 flanking pair on c1/c9 still working hard.
    After 3 → c6r6, 4 → c4r6.
    - 14:30 ditto. Same square, same issue.
    - 15:15 Different square, same issue.
That 1,2 flanking pair on c1/c9 still working hard.
    After 5 → c8r3
    7 → c8r6 (limit 7, sees 1-6)
    6 → c8r9
    r9 resolves
    - 16:45 r6 flanking pair
    Nice.
    - 18:57 don’t call me Shirley
    Thanks again.

Got half way through clean. Spent the next 10 minutes looking...looking...looking. And finally pencil marked my way home.
