Shwekey is most known for the energy he brings to every performance. It doesn't matter when or where, he's able to get a crowd going. He has that stage presence that's so infectious.
A funny anecdote: I was once at a concert where he headlined a show alongside Miami Boys Choir. It was a sold out show (not even standing room left) and the security guards had a tough time controlling some of the crowd who just jumped up on stage (uninvited) to dance with him! Of course, he just took it in stride and waved the guards off!

You gotta listen to his slow songs. ‘Search We are a miracle, your time’. He is great at concerts and is usually in headlines in advertisements for these concerts. And he is great at connecting to the crowd and getting them to sing and feel it.

His family is middle eastern and his voice is muddle eastern. I've heard him sing Sephardic songs to Israeli and French Sephardic audiences, and it's a totally different experience than listening to his usual Ashkenazi stuff. Either style, he has an incredible stage presence and really gets the audience revved up. Incidentally, he is also one of the nicest people you could hope to meet.
Shwekey is very versatile. He's done a bunch of different styles over the years. His CDs and tapes and concerts are a lot of different styles.

5:20 He's sort of a combination of the Miami Boys Choir style and Israeli style. His earlier albums were more the MBC style and he later adopted an Israeli style as well. Btw he is American

The song title means "Israel Endures", which could explain the Star Of David. But it also could just be decorative as a common Jewish symbol.
Shwekey is a huge star. I’ll recommend you watch his slow songs tough
I think that much of the vibe is also about the lyrics in this song and will often bring up intense emotions for Jewish people.

I would like to see him review shwekey's ben bag bag because that song encapsulates all of shwekey's styles yet is still from his older days and retains his more yeshiva-Bochur song style plus is more religious-focused in nature and Portuguese pai seems to relate well to those, also it's both slow and melodic at the same time as having a pace and tempo. I think it would be a good song for him to review

Yes, this is all him. He puts on these big overblown shows. Very powerful production.
The meaning of the song is (paraphrasing) that despite the persecution and torture that the Jewish nation has been though, "netzach yisrael" Jewish resilience is for real!
In short.
Another meaning to the song would actually be "Netzach Yisrael" is referring to Hashem. About how Hashem never lies, so He's keeping his promise to Avraham about having a גוי גדול. And ככוכבי השמיים, etc.

He's American. He spent every summer of his youth in another summer camp so when he finally put out his first album it was number 1 bc every one felt like we knew him well

Yaakov shwekey is from the top 3 Jewish Hasidic singers. He is an American living in Deal, New Jersey. This particular concert was his own show featuring himself and I think he had some guest stars as well. This concert took place in Israel, the songs talks about the Jewish nation that we will always win and prevail against all the hate hence the Star of David!!!!!!

actually the star of david represents our nation that in the song is referred to yisroel. the song is trying to bring out the message of how throughout the years we have been tortured. all the nations have tried to wipe us out but the jewish nation will live on forever, as god has promised us.... shwekey does all different kind of styles of music including slow songs and pop style. thank you for the reaction. really enjoyed seeing your appreciation for our jewish singers.

9:09 - The term "Netzach Yisrael" is a reference to the continuation of the Jewish people. Therefor, the Star of David would be relevant in performing this song.

While Shwekey definitely has his audience (this was his own show), I don't think he compares remotely to Avraham Fried, Benny, Eli Marcus, Shulem or some of the others you've seen.
Which style is he? He blends both styles, because he has mixed parents.

I would agree Shwekey isn't the top voice in Jewish music. I believe his popularity is due to his many solid albums, the diversity of styles in the songs he sings and most importantly his fantastic stage presence.
This was his concert. Most of the time he performs he's the headliner.
The song is referring to the endurance of the Jewish people, I assume thats what the Star of David is about.

I know I keep asking for it, but I think if you react to Shwekey again, you should react to his Rajem performance with a young Mordechai Shapiro. It's his most iconic song and much less poppy. Another iconic, more soulful performance of his is והיא שעמדה (Vehi Sheamda). I'm also not the biggest fan of this song you reacted to (I never heard of it before actually).
To throw another recommendation into the mix, I recommend Lo Beruach as performed by Shira Choir and Avrum Chaim Green. The composition from Yerachmiel Begun is incredible and the singing gives me chills.

I really like what he is doing with the stars of David. One reprenting the Jewish nation and one the star the nazis made Jews wear so they could be more easily destroyed. But as the song says " the eternity of israel is not a lie for G-d is with us". If we are not destroyed- it is not for a lack of trying

I think you should get some sort of advisor on which songs are a good representation of the specific artist you are reviewing. Because on a few of your reviews in which you weren't so impressed people commented on the song choice. I think this could make your video's even greater than they already are.

Shwekey has great stage energy but compared to the voice and emotion of an Avraham Fried. Shwekey is more of a pop music sensation. Both are great performers and super talented.

I much prefer Yaakov Shwekey live than on his records. Or maybe he has just gotten better over the years? I have one of his earlier CDs and on some of those songs he had a very nasal quality. He seems better here.
