    "Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy. They do not attack people because they want to, but because of their size and strength, mankind has no other choice but to defend himself. After several stories such as this, people end up having a kind of affection for the monsters. They end up caring about them." -Ishiro Honda

    The most solemn thing about this scene is for the entirety of the Heisei series, humanity was actively trying to find any way possible to finally defeat and kill Godzilla. Yet, when he finally dies: Nobody cheers. Nobody celebrates. Nobody starts clapping. Nobody says a word. They simply stand there in silence feeling pity and sorrow for this creature that, for all intents and purposes, was nothing more than a victim of Mankind’s hubris.

    Saddest moment in godzilla history, the first time I watched this I was in shock. It’s hard to believe the one Godzilla we love and made this franchise come to life, suddenly dies because of his own ability’s. Thats when I saw Godzilla junior evolve, I knew this franchise wouldn’t come to an end. when I saw this in g fest, the audience also cried as if it was their first time watching the film. This will remain an unforgettable moment in godzilla history.

  • @bayonetonazero2535
    @bayonetonazero2535 ปีที่แล้ว +72

    It’s quite painful and emotional seeing Gojira in mental and physical pain. The loss of his adopted son that he spent the entire movie to search for only to have him ripped in half and die to the hands of Destoroyah, and the pain of literally melting because of something he could not have controlled. To die to the hands of something that you never thought would’ve happened to yourself.
    He cried in pain, in pain of his uncontrollable amount of energy and the pain of his lost son. He let out one last cry, a cry of failure that he could not save his son, but also a cry of relief as he knew that when he died he would see his son. However, to Gojira’s delight, his son was resurrected with his death, and his spirit lives on.

    When a film-maker makes you care about a monster dying, especially one that cannot speak our language, and is equally a threat as they can be a 'saviour'; you earned your right to call yourself one of the best. The production and film crew of the Heisei Era Godzilla films not only brought Godzilla back after a long hiatus, but in my opinion, brought us the best of the Big G since his original outing. I'm sure if Ishiro Honda had lived long enough to see this film, he would have approved of the way Godzilla was portrayed and went out.

    As a child I grew up watching Godzilla & loving him no matter the destruction he caused . My child mind thought he was just misunderstood. He was to me, what superman was to many kids my age. So when I saw my favorite being/monster in the whole world, die in the most brutal way , it was like watching a loved one die. I never got over his death

    Damn i remember watching this movie when I was 8 years old damn that scene me watching it with my big cousin who’s 5 years older then me I started crying the part when poor Godzilla was melting and couldn’t do anything but accept his fate and when I saw junior turn into Godzilla adult I felt happy again and wonder if they will make a other movie but his son fighting against other powerful monsters😭😭😭

    Here's how I imagine the scene played out:
    After Godzilla's death, all the radiation that got released was directly absorbed into Junior's corpse. The radiation and the energy given by his late father have revived Junior and made him grow into an adult. Revived and fully awakened, Junior realized the situation as he roars in mourning for his father's passing while also signifying his new role as the new king of the monsters in his father's place.

    Godzillas very cells were melting, the guy was breaking down on a molecular level, and yet he held out long enough to kill Destoroyah, to avenge his son
    People misunderstand Godzilla, he is not a being of vengeance, he is a being of will, natures ability to persist through the most horrible conditions

      Heisei Godzilla is the strongest Godzilla, he is superior even to Earth, Earth charged his atomic breath for 5 years just to destroy an asteroid with the kinetic energy of a Dwarf star, in Godzilla VS Megaguirus, Godzilla vaporized a black hole with radius Schwarzschild of 48.2 meters, this equals the same feat of vaporizing a 32 septillion metric ton planet, if he did it with a 24 second setup, then imagine what he could do with a 5 year setup, Godzilla Earth or even Final Wars, would never surpass Heisei, Showa and wouldn't even bother the other Godzillas!

    • @IMObyMark
      @IMObyMark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As you are newbies in this gigantic world about Godzilla, I will tell you the strongest Godzillas using feats, calculations and quotes, first I will explain basic things here, AP means attack power, for example: Godzilla Showa has Universal level AP, but that doesn't mean he can destroy a Universe, it means he can resist attacks and release attacks capable of hurting someone of this level, or even killing him, now I'm going to explain what DC is, DC is the destructive capacity of an attack aimed at an object, example: Godzilla Millenium vaporized a 32 Septillion metric ton black hole, but now I'm going to stop rambling and get straight to the point! Strongest Godzilla in Physical Strength: Godzilla Millennium. Strongest Godzilla in AP: Showa Godzilla and Heisei Godzilla Strongest Godzilla in DC: Showa Godzilla
