Got this phone last month for €290 and couldn't be happier 🙂 the speakers aren't bad by any means, sure when you compare to an s20 note it's not great but when comparing it to the phone you're upgrading from it's gonna be a little better.

In my opinion, A51 5G is not much of a valuable phone. One would say that its got 5G but in most of the countries, that won't matter as of now. Chinese companies still offer much more in price range of A51 5G. Take Oppo X2 Lite (Snapdragon 765G), for example, or Realme X3 Superzoom (Snaodragon 855+) or even better - a Xiaomi Pocophone F2 Pro (Snapdragon 865). PS: You guys (GSM Arena) make remarkable reviews for upcoming smartphones. Thank you!

I started out as an iPhone nazi from the very first model until the iPhoneX then I decided to take a leap of faith and finally try Android out with the Galaxy A20 about 9 months ago. I really liked the versatility and freedom of the open source software vs the prison style OS on the iPhone but the camera and build quality over all left something to be desired. When the A51 5G came out I was extremely impressed with the demo model I played around with so I bought the phone outright from my provider. I've been wondering if I made a mistake choosing this over the iPhone 12 but this video reassured me "a little" lol! Obviously the iPhone 12 would have been a much better choice but I wanted to stick with the freedom of the Android OS and so far I'm loving the phone! Crisp clean display, amazing camera, decent build quality, jam packed with cool features, and fast asf! Overall the A20 left a bad taste in my mouth for the aforementioned reasons but the A51 has restored my faith that sticking with Android was a good decision!

As of 021221 this phone can be found for $149 at Cricket if you are a new customer ($249 at Cricket if you are already a customer and want to upgrade your phone). That's a SCREAMING deal for a 5G phone with this much to offer!!!
Sammy is killing with midrange game this year. They hiked the prices for nerds like us but they are giving the average consumer some excellent hardware ranging from the a51 to s10 lite Just give us a break sammy and lower them prices a bit no need to cross the 1000$ mark at all

I have the regular version performance, charging speed, mono speaker and the vibration motor is the only thing I'd love an upgrade out of but for 500 dollars id definitely go for the Poco phone 2 whit the 865 and everything else it comes with

Im using poco f1. The miui is fine for normal use and its good in saving battery life. I have seen samsung one ui, its better with more customisation but usually samsung phones have less battery life. Problem with Miui is it always got updates. Update this update that. Im beginning to suspect its collecting data through updates
Does it offer any water proofing ipx etc. I'll wait and the price should drop to something reasonable. I've a SamsungA5 and hard to find a waterproof mid ranger anymore. Only thing I would swap in A5 is a better camera. Used to think radio was nice addition but only work with wired earphones so less useful and you can't just run in as a table radio either for same reason.

Great upgrade over A51! Much better CPU, great cameras, good looks. AMOLED screen. Only minus for me was the terrible muffled speaker sound.

The a51 unlocked US version is $400 so that's about $109 extra for 5g, better processor and better cameras. That seems pretty much worth it.
