This intro is so majestic & Symbolic (if you dig deeper): It begins with the switching time from afternoon to night where Kaito Kid usually acts; then we see a flashback back when his mom was still Phantom Lady, showing her gymnastic skills, which technically passed down to Kaito, before tie up with her husband under a full moon; the next shot become Akako and Kaito's faceshots with Akako dancing under the kaito kid's cape, telling us that both having a secret identity (referring episode 5 "A Temptation in Scarlet"); as the 2 figures disappear into thin air, we see the couple Kaito & Aoko on a stairway, but when Aoko (and us from her camera view) turn her head, Kaito is no where to be seen, signaling the double life Kaito had to live with as her boyfriend and kaito kid (Aoko almost ruined Kaito's plan once in order to prove to her dad that Kaito =/= Kaito Kid, she is at least aware about this but with no concrete evidence, even the heist was in [barely] success in Kaito Kid's book); next is the teleportation act on the Purple Nail Heist, in which both Conan and Kaito outsmarted each other once (the first time it was a victory on Kaito Kid's, the 2nd time Conan purposefully feed him false info since he is aware that Kid placed a listener on the back of his neck & with the help of the previous news recording from Sonoko's phone, Conan won the 2nd time, with a great smile on his face); the next few frames are all about Kaito Kid and Kaitou Corbeau, being a flip side of one and another, one in white and one in black; in the last shot, a dove (symbolized Peace) and a crow (symbolized good fortune and protection in Japanese culture) flies by the screen, which both are fitting to their characters -- the dove is obvious of Kaito's character, he want to find peace and discover the truth about his dad's disappearance, his character also doesn't engage in violence either, that's why he used magic cards and tricks instead, even with the time he held a gun, he doesn't kill. He also help others to find their own peace, in one of the episode, he realized the culprit is a father and wanted to sell the gem to save his son, when he confronted him, the dad misstep, kaito kid tried his best to save him but to no avail. When the voice of the son was near, Kaito used his card gun to shoot away the mask on the dad's face, giving out a false ending and relieve to the boy that the dad was trying to stop Kaito Kid but unfortunately fell to his death and still protecting the gem. As for the crow, that's represent Kaitou Corbeau (which when search this name online, the first name pops into frame is Kaito's dad Toichi, meaning the two are most definitely related to each others). Although the character only has a brief appearance in the last episode, it does seems he isn't antagonist to Kaito Kid at all, he actually helped and saved him in the climax. If this character is really Toichi, it would make sense that he will want to protect his son, even it had to be done from the shadows The intro ends with the feather of dove and crow, making a picture similar to the the Yin & Yang Sign, which once again symbolized the two characters' relationship, that is "how obviously opposite or contrary forces may create each other by their comparison and are to be seen as actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another". Another possible interpretation of this shot can be viewed as Conan & Kaito Kid, Conan shows the secrets out to the light, while Kaito Kid use his tricks from the shadows. Both can't really satisficed without the other's presence, both improved themselves to the point of trying one-up each others, they act as frenemies
