With regard to the 6GB vs.8GB RAM devices -- I believe with over 1 or 1.5 years of usage, and post updating the device with new 'Android Updates', the device becomes a bit slow and the overall performance gets hampered. I have have been regular user of the 'Samsung Note' series, and have been facing this high RAM consumption (Plus phone hanging issue) for long now. This is why I was planning to buy the 8GB One Plus 5T variant. Do you think, the 8GB variant could solve this recurring issue of mine? Or should i still opt for the 6GB RAM device? (Not to mention, Spending INR 6,000 extra for the 8GB RAM device is a Big Deal)

Sami Farroukh Bro no need to change. Except for the display not much change. op5 is power pack phone. And you have telephoto lens which one plus 5t lacks. Regarding face unlock it's available on Oreo beta in op5 . So no need to change

Udaiveer Singh Bindra i m using my op3 almost 2 yrs now. With time to time s/w nd security updates my phone is as snappy as new. I use hell lot of apps so yeah there is battery backup issue. I have to charge my phone in afternoon with heavy or moderate usage. Trust me without battery backup issue nd some minor lag with few apps like messenger I don't get any problem as such. Thanks to the updates nd huge ram. Even I don't miss latest trend the portrait modes in back nd front cam as well thanks to Xda-devolopers 😉 I feel if everything goes right I can easily live with phone at least more 1 to 1.5 year.

I'm an iPhone X user and I needed an secondary phone so I got the oneplus 5t and I just love it. I thought android sucked but android is improved a lot, it's really good since the Android version of "Nougat". I would recommend Android phones with Android Version "Oreo" anything below that is no good. i started using oneplus 5t more than my iPhone X because of the Customisation and I downloaded the live wallpapers of pixel 2 phones and wow it looks very beautiful on this 6inch oneplus 5t screen. You're mainly paying for the Snapdragon 835 processor In one plus 5/5t phones and the large beautiful AMOLED display. For this price range this Oneplus 5t is worth it.
