Great video Chet and Dougo, dont knock those seed drills , we had a 18 row drill we used to plant alfalfa with , we would seed 30-40 acre fields with ours but the only thing I hated about the drill was we didnt have seed tenders to load the drill , it was all loaded with guns , guns you say yes my guns cause at the end of planting you had guns from lifting all those 50lb bags of, no seed tender here just guns , nothing to see here ! You are truly blessed to have a Dougo for a Dad ! Hope y'all can get your crop in the ground soon otherwise you should turn those fields into paylakes , paylakes yes paylakes , you stock it with catfish and charge $15 for a 24hr fishing ticket . Godbless yall Chet , prayers for some dry weather so yall can get in the fields and turn a few !
Great video! Reminds me of when I was 12 and my Grandpa would have me ride on the planter with some partial bags of seed corn, and when a row would run out he would signal me to fill that hopper! He didn't want to open too many bags if corn, or waste any! He just told me before we started, "Just don't fall off, and don't tell your Mom!" Thanks! Keep the great content coming!
Having flashbacks of spreading crp with a floater. Having to put seed in 1 tender and the fertilizer in another tender. Then mix the 2 together while filling the floater. Real precision, lol

Lol many years ago you had room to sit shotgun 😂 you GREW UP too fast !! Just 2 years ago I unbolted the car seat out of the JD4430.. youngest is 20 now but it made an outstanding lunch box for many years 😉
With the blue semi the flaking use 1200 grit sand paper and wet sand. Which is getting the sand paper wet then sanding. Only by hand. Then clear coat over it.
Is the CRP program attempting to make some lands environmentally safe habitats or back to native grasses? Pretty good premise lets hope the govt knows what it's doing :). What is Timothy? It's a grass grown for hay or silage. I don't know if it's as popular as it used to be but it's grown all over the midwest.
