- I LOVE Drones but I'm also amazed with the world of RC Cars & Trucks. You've seen me driving RC Cars at high speed through snow chased by drones for great footage. I had to check out Gas powered RC vehicles, so I have a few now. This is the first one and it is a ton of fun because of the size, sound & weight! You'll see it in future videos with drones.

Make sure your center diff set screw is tight, the reason I say this I have the xt and the center diff set screw came flying out and almost hit me the face,and LOCTITE EVERY SCREW

More Fun! It appeared that the battery driven car is faster than the gas driven, is this so? Also, 40 minutes driving time on the gasser is awesome! But, also another $900 w/taxes. Too much except for the officionato with deep pockets. So glad you are having so much fun and sharing with us vicariously.
The Gas is actually much cheaper than the comparable size electric. As for speed, electric will beat gas due to the weight of the Gas car and frame (very heavy). But the sound of a gas car and power will always beat electric for the shear thrill of the hobby.

I really want to give LOSI a try so I picked up the Gas LOSI DBXL. Have not yet tried it due to the weather, but it will certainly be in a future vid.
When you were starting it. Reminds me of my weed trimmer ... which do you prefer. Battery or gas ⛽️. ?
Both. Gas for the sound, weight, size & runtime.... And electric for the simplicity/no non-sense out of the box fun.
I bought the shockwave like 5 years ago, it was absolute junk, then I bought a jato 3.3 was decent after tone of upgrades. But as far as Redcat have they improved over the years?
Some people love REDCAT for the price. Their Gas monsters are actually really good.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 my pins kept falling out, when I walked into my local hobby shop they looked at me like I crazy for owning a Redcat guy was like ya we don’t carry parts for that, we typically tell our customers to stay away from Redcat because the quality. 🤷🏻♂️ I just bought 2 more Traxxas fir my 10 yr old and 5 year old, got the rnr maxx and Hawaiian slash 2wd. I like losi but my local hobby shop don’t carry parts fir them either. But now I’m looking at getting the UDR or gas powered one. Any suggestions?

Have you had any issues with starting the engine in the rampage recently?
I just got mine yesterday started fine the first time now nothing tried basically everthing of course UK flooded a couple times unflooded it checked spark plug was all good
Should I try maybe a little bit of starting fluid? that's what I do with other small engines but not sure on this especially since its brand new!
Mine runs great. Your issue is more than likely your air filter. Remove it, start it... if it starts then it means your air filter was restricting airflow. Clean it and all will be good.

I'm just so frustrated brand new I feel like an idiot I'm maintenance by trade but don't work with small engines much.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I haven't messed with the idle or needles at all either.
So last night when I started it first time I had it on a stand for safety luckly I did it started right up but the tires were moving real fast . It actually sounded like as if the throttle was on I immediately shut it off hopefully nothing got damaged .
I did contact redcat waiting to hear back from them. I'm going to go try what you recommended with the air filter.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ok removed the air filter still no luck I did email redcat explaining the problem. I do appreciate your input.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Well I can get engine started by pulling the cord and holding throttle down a little but wont keep running.
My bigger concern is when I squeeze the throttle trigger the tires dont move maybe Inhave something not right on the transmitter oh well at least I'm getting somewhere now

Great Video Captain!! Make Sure You Put a Kill Switch on that Beast!! It will can Run away from you if the battery dies! Killerbee is a Great Kill Switch and not to hard to install.
That is the only thing that worries me about the gas cars, so I keep them out in a field away from people. It amazes me that gas cars don't come with a 3 channel remote with a kill switch. Can you use the Killerbee with the included two channel redcat remote?

Love it. Environmentalists hate it. There really is no replacement for gas/internal combustion engines if you are a gear head or general car enthusiast. The tesla uses 7,000 18650 batteries.....
where do you get the gas and oil?
At your gas station and at your local hardware store (same oil as you put in your lawnmower or other two stroke engines).

Runs on 93 and 2 stroke oil.
How long did you manage on a tank?
40 Minutes on a full tank at average speed.
